I greatly appreciate these Combat Bulletin film reels. Thank you for your efforts. A good look into the details of WWII combat.

min 1.38: very interesting, seldom seen scene of a Mistel array in flight. Seems to me composed by a Ju88 and a Fw 190. Very late in the war, end of 1944, beginning of 1945, maybe targeted to destry one of the few bridges over the Rhine ?

My great Uncle served US Army in Burma., anti air gun protecting ops on Burma Road..he was wounded in combat and I worked with him as a machinist for many years. he never told war stories. Never mentioned it. What I know my great grandma told me, as he slept with a cocked n locked .45 on his chest every night for years and was never quite sane after coming home.

Big Bill: Could be, could also be it's the reason you are alive. I prefer to believe what the people who were there say. I wasn't there since I was born in Dec 1945.

If you had Jap ninjas sneaking around at night trying to kill you you'd probably be a little paranoid too. 😂

Not once have I ever heard of that "pig-a-back" technique (1:30) being used by the Germans. I am amazed that they thought of and then actually implemented that configuration. Obviously that would work only under conditions of "complete surprise." Under any other conditions, it becomes the easiest of all targets.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a lot of the footage of the 'Gloster Meteor' jet fighter ;looks a lot like the Gloster 'Whittle' (E28/39). The meteor had a rounded nose 7 2 engines, the E28/39 had a flat nose (engine intake). ??????

I noted that they referred the landing craft as LCM and LCVP as they should. Seaming that this film was made during the war it blows that "Higgnes boats" crap out of the water.
