Waylon had one of the greatest voices. He could sing anything. Waylon could sing anyone's songs, but not everyone can sing his. One of the most iconic voices ever
I saw Willie Nelson in concert one time at a fair and literally sat there with a dumb grin on my face the whole time. It was magic! Angel flying too close to the ground was wonderful! Hearing him sing. On the Road again made it seem as if all was right with the world! Good times!

I work at a bar and when it’s allmlst closingtime I used to put on some Highwaymen... Longing for the time when covid is a bad dream from the past and we can enjoy life again
I was blessed to have met each of them, separately, and in their prime and see and hear them perform live. And I've been to Luckenbach more than once. Now I'm an old lady with great memories!
I was lucky enough to see them all, and as I knew Willie very well, I was able to meet them all ang hang out between sound check and Waylon even took me to go find and meet Bobby Emmons as this is one of my favorite songs.. Atlantic City, New Jersey....sometime in the 90's😁
Why do I never get tired of listening to this man? Perhaps its because he sang like real grown up men like him behaved. The original Rocker and an outlaw legend. Rest in peace Hoss.
Legends. I got into country in 1980. I'm an Englishman & I was working on a yacht in Glyfada, Greece. The bars were full of U.S. servicemen, Canadian oil riggers & British barmaids. Willie & Waylon seemed to be playing constantly. Best years of my life.
I know exactly where Luckenbach TX is! My family of German ancestry used to go there for annual family reunions! We have pictures on front of the little general store even! Sorry we can’t go there these years 😢
I'm 23 and I listen to all old good outlaw country, like Merle Haggard, Willie, Waylon, etc... I am also a big fan of the freewheeling Bob Dylan and JJ Cale (who is my favorite artist in general).
If you just think about the quality of the voice, for me it’s Waylon. Johnny, of course, has his own resonance, but Waylon has that wide open, deep, rich sound that is really special.
Waylon's voice was incredible. Listen to him singing In Dreams in the early 60s. He gives even Roy Orbison a run for his money. In his younger years, Waylon's range was over 3 octaves.
This was in 1990. In the summer of 91 I got to see them in Vegas. Was so amazing to see these four icons together on stage. Absolutely the greatest concert I ever saw.

I wasn't born in this era but I can say that these men are the super group of music! There is no band after them who has that kind of country soulful magnetism. Their voices are smoothly connected and their masculinity is on point. Wow!!!💕💕
I love this song. This was always on the juke when I was a young fellah. These guys are all legends. Lucky me, later I got to play a bunch of bass with Willie... I never imagined that would happen when I was putting all those quarters in the juke. 😎
