Any old diaries or journals are like GOLD to the craft world. People make journals from scratch and use papers like that to add to them.
I pulled the colored vinal covers off a couple hundred to be use for other things
I buy kids math books that they sell at dollar tree and just cut out the numbers and redo the entire planner. Its worth in the end bcuz the planners i like are close to 20 bucks.
Give the teacher stuff to your local schools, clever teachers will use them anyway and just change the dates. We need any donations we can get.

Some of that stuff was neatly placed there. Someone was planning to go back for it. I don't even have a car. I love dumpster diving! So jealous! Good score!
They put stuff there. Ive seen an episode where they made this huge deal about finding something & then they found it again months later.
I will never understand why planners come with the year pre printed on it. It's not hard to put 12 sheets each with a 35, 5 rows of 7, block calendar grid each with a small square in the corner & a line at the top where you can fill in the month & yr. It would eliminate so much waste & simply explaining that by taking a few seconds to fill in the month at the top & filling in the days of the month in the little square under the proper day of the wk it saves millions of lbs of paper which saves thousands & thousands of trees. It's no different than what you do with calendar dry erase boards.

@@loveyourselfplease6842 Thats not my point. I have written a calendar by hand and never noticed the mistake until I nearly missed a meeting. Now I just keep a calendar on my phone.
Automated calendars rarely have mistakes.
@@FlutePlayer777 maybe I'll go try getting this idea manufactured but make sure to include a few extra pages in case of mistakes & if they're not used then they can go into the next planner or used for something else. Either way a few extra sheets is better than heaps of entire planners going to waste. I'm dyslexic so for stuff like this I write it first in pencil & if it's correct the first time (doesn't happen often) I go over it with Sharpy. Doesn't everyone else do that, LOL. I always have to have more envelopes than cards because I mess those up & I have to keep a big white board in my kitchen to write down phone numbers before they go into my phone, order numbers, any kind of sequence I have to write out & read back multiple times so your concern is definitely genuine & understood.
Nice score! Love the picture you found with the good glass. OMG....coffee, why would they throw out coffee? That stuff is always good, and if you don't want to brew it you can put the grounds in the compost for your garden.
If those big planners are plain on the back I'd give them to kids to draw on

If you can do a garage sale, or even a "porch sale", parents of home schoolers would greatly appreciate buying planners, pens, pencils, almost anything you can take with you.

Take them to a day care or a senior home. They can still be used to color on.
Teachers can give students notebooks/diaries for scribble pads, learning how to use calendars , etc. No need to waste them, especially in poorer schools with limited supplies
Kindergarten’s would love the calendar’s and books for the children to practice writing and role playing pretending to be teachers.
When you come across old calenders or planners, all you need to do is change the actual date...the 1-(31) on each month. Decorate with washi tape or with card stock, use number stickers over the printed numbers....so much you can do. May take a little time but could be worth it to someone. Check out youtubers that do planners, and see the beautiful layouts they do. :) its just a thought ...have a great week and be safe

Woohoo! Nice score on the coffee and other things. The planners and calendars could be donated to a daycare or preschool for the kids to draw in or on. Just an idea for future finds of that kind.

Those planners can be used for junk journaling.
I found all them same planners last year, but luckily they still had a lot of months left, and I gave them all away to people who could use them!
The old calendars are good to use the backs of. Little kids can use them to paint and draw.

You don't look thoroughly thru the dumpsters, you missed a few boxes on the bottom.
All those teacher products should mostly be in recycle anyway not trash.
In the US we don't have seperate recycle dumpsters. Sadly.

People that plan can use the planners. We are creative and we can re-date the old ones.
And the posters can be used on the back for kids to draw on

I tried dumpster diving last year with my oldest daughter and actually fell in love with it. I have found many great things. I found a total of 4 office chairs 3 must have been floor models because they were assembled and the 4th was a return because it had 2 left arms which is fine with me. An Ugg blanket velvety on top (marion) and the soft fluffy stuff in the bottom (white). It also had 2 standard pillow cases, there is spray paint on the corners but it's for me and I doubt mind it at all because it keeps me so warm. Found another xl comforter, with 2 pillow cases, spray paint on the corners but I am also keeping it so who cares?! I have 4 kids that are obsessed with blankets to so I'm sure someone Issa gonna steal one.

The expired planners. You can use them btw. Use washi tape to go over old dates. The desk and wall calendars can also be recycled into scrap paper. I have a bunch that I find every year. :)
I enjoy watching you guys dumpster dive and I may have a couple little secret for you get some Mr clean magic erasers (sometimes the store brand works just as well) or something else that everybody seems to have on hand these days hand sanitizer it's all according to the surface that Mr clean magic erasers or hand sanitizers will remove some of that permanent marker from some surfaces as if it was never put on there, an old housemaid's trick from when I worked at a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hotel
Those calendars, kids could draw on the back like a poster. The teacher books/ diaries can be used by alot of art/craft people glue samples of their art work pieces into these types of books. They keep them as art journals to use for reference of colours/techniques examples as a reminder for future projects.
Old planners are still useful. I can definitely use that if only i was not outside your country.

What a wasteful shame! This is what's wrong with us, all this waste. Just throw it away for someone else to deal with. And divers such as yourselves having to sneak like your criminals to save the waste from the landfills! This is why we need to be better! Great scores tonight you two!
There is a reason its illegal in some places. Stores do not want divers to bring back merch the found in the trash and try to exchange it for cash.

That part to a machine is a drawer to one of their zerox self serve copiers. (I worked for Staples for 13 years) That part is like $500
My office supply store near here threw away two of the old manual guillotine paper cutters. With all the craft works I've done over the years I always wanted one of those guillotine paper cutters. Now I have two.
