I had a friend. He dumpster dived. And ran a junk shop during daylight hours. He made enough from his junk shop to live quite well. He actually got so well off. That he rented a large building in the industrial park. And started hauling trash for the major retailers in town. I think he actually bought that garbage service. He and I were having a very good dinner, in the living quarters of his new location. When there was a ruckus out back. Three groups of people were fighting over the contents of his dumpster.

heres a tip for you all. lacquer thinner will pull that orange spray paint right off. use it in a well ventilated area. put some on a rag and buff it off.

Our bed bath and beyond has a compactor. Most of our popular stores do around here and don't have any normal dumpster 😒..... Awesome score you two.
The pillows can be covered. You can purchase pillow covers or make your own. I would keep the pillows that can be put on the couch or bed.

Another u-tuber used gel hand sanitizer and it took the paint right off. She used it on pots and pans. It looked super easy.

No no no, Thats acetone, Acetone eats plastic like battery acid on skin. Dont use acetone. Use citrus cleaners or alcohol/goo gone
& Rubbing Alcohol also works.
