- 20/7/2023: late update, the Google Play incompatibility was fixed 6/4/2023, so the glitch has been working again for a few months now
23/2/2023: As happened 3 years ago, game is no longer linking to your Google Play Account, so no cloud save, no can do this glitch
17/9/2020: For those of you on Android 10 having to re-download more than 1GB of data, a tip from viewer @Tanmay Kakde:
Pertaining to the people resetting challenge and phantom zone on newer devices (Android only):-
If clearing the data also deletes the obb files (the 2 files with size 1.57GB) from the Android folder, you can simply duplicate(create another copy of) the files to avoid a large re-download. Simply keep an extra copy of the files in the directory
"Android/obb/com.wb.goog.injustice"
some place else on your device.
After clearing the data just restore those files manually to the folder using your file manager and then you don't have to redownload huge data files every time.
Same goes for airplane mode glitch. If restoring old save files makes you redownload the 1.57GB of data, just do the steps as listed above
Yes it eats up extra space on your phone but it saves data charges or if on WiFi it saves time as copying back files manually barely takes 20 secs
11/3/2020 aaaaand, it's working again. Go figure. Maybe there's hope for Injustice after all.
4/3/2020 patched :( The game no longer links with your Google Play Account, so there is no cloud save. That means you can't do this glitch. Will update as needed.

If your Google Play Cloud Save isn't updating properly (and reverts back to before you accumulated any of the challenge character), try:
1) buying something from the store
2) then logging out/in of Google
That is usually enough, but if not,
1) buy something from the store
2) log out/in of Google
3) buy (another) something from the store again
4) log out/in of Google again

Damn, times have changed. I remember deleting app data then hopping back onto Injustice to download the cloud save; took a couple seconds. Now it takes 10 mins each time.

I tried yesterday 01/17/2021 and can confirm it still works. The time of turning wifi off can be a little tricky but with practice is manageable. Thanks for your great work, you deserve more recognition bckdr.

Challenge Reset Glitch For iOS:
You need 2 (ios) devices, doesnt matter if the second device already has the challenge.
both need to be logged into the same account, one needs to be on automatic time and the other needs to be off automatic time(just incase try to set the date and time to nov 4 2019 7:11 am)
on the device with automatic time turned on finish the challenge until you are satisfied, then close the game and go to the 2nd device. the 2nd device needs to be on airplane mode with wifi turned on.
after you launch the game on the 2nd device(the one with automatic time turned off) you wont see the challenge, dont worry this is exactly what we want. after that just go to online battle and play a quick match to save your progress.
after you have saved your progress on the 2nd device, close the game and go to the 1st device(the one with automatic time turned on) and launch the game.
you will see the challenge again but this time its reset and you get to keep all your rewards from the previous time you completed it.
Tried this on dec 1 2020 and it works.
I have 2 ios devices 1 is an iphone and the other is an ipad, let me know if you have any problems.

Hey so titanium isn't working and I can't find the free version of helium, I'm lowkey scared of the deleting data part because of well, I don't want to lose ALL my progress. Do I need to back it up to helium or titanium before doing this glitch? :)
you don't *have* to, but we strongly recommend it
Tip: if you are doing this, watch this vid on pc, that way you can follow perfectly

NO WAY its July 23 2018 and this still works thank gawd. I. Not even using it to try to "cheat" but rather the challenges didn't reset after each new one so now at least I can play through them

Is using google play cloud save really safe? I heard people got their save corrupted using them? Im not really sure if using both wbid and google play is better than just wbid

Using the Google Play Cloud save is required for resetting the challenge.
With people having the issue of the challenge not resetting, when the crash appears when trying to open injustice after clearing its data, open it again or (it may open itself again) as soon as you see your Google ID Icon, disconnect from the internet. You may have to try a few times due to sometimes the cloud not appearing but when it appears it should be able to work. I've tried waiting until the Google ID Icon disappears and then disconnect but that's too late to disconnect. I'm thinking with the new updates to possibly Google Play or how advance your phone is or maybe even your connection, it allows you to connect to your Google Play ID effortlessly meaning you have to disconnect quickly. I remember doing this a while ago and the timing with disconnecting was the same process in the guide until recently I got on and I experienced the crash injustice gets when opening and having to reopen but I was quickly signed in after opening it again.

This as been working for me so far no problems. But As off today play store says the game isn't compatible with my device anymore.. I use an android phone I'm still able to play the game. I just can't do this glitch anymore since it depends on play games to save my progress. Please is there any alternative?

@@midnighthunter5677 it could be that your linking you WBID account before finishing an offline fight, or that you turn off wifi too early? not sure what else, as those are the only two things that happened to me

I really need help i just can't get the cloud icon to show up now i tried this on a different phone and it worked but that phone had a different Google Play ACC so I'm trying to do the same but no luck

This isn't working for me. It's showing the welcome message before the turn off wifi stage, so it already seems to sync with the server and find where you are in the challenge. I even switch over accounts to see if it would sync with that one instead, but it ended up starting where that account was and I wasn't able to get the data from the first account back (except through helium). I'm using a Galaxy S8, Android version 8.0.0, Samsung Experience version 9.0, hardware version REV1.0 if that matters
Not entirely sure what you're saying, but shutting off wifi should happen after the game finishes downloading the Google Play Cloud Save. Being a little late shouldn't matter, because after clearing app data, there is no WBID to retrieve data from the WB server. If you want help, you'll need to be more specific about what you're doing.
Can IOS users confirm if there is still a working challenge reset glitch and direct me towards how to do it?
did they patch it or something cause I can't seem to find the cloud button. I waited for the game to load up to the wall then I turned on airplane mode. But I can't seem to find the cloud button

I was doing this and i can no longer log into the initial google play account on injustice but i can log into another one and login.

Just have one problem: Injustice crashes during Google save (right after deleting app data).
This in turn I think cuts the download short, and as such the "Cloud button" doesn't really appear for me.
Do you have any idea how I can work around this?

I have the same problem, everything else is exactly the same (except maybe that when I relogin to googleplay the banner doesn't show) but when starting injustice (after deleting data) as soon as you see the download bar it crashes
You start it again, it's fine, but there is no cloud icon.

Must we use Helium & Titanium, or are you also able to do the glitch with other backup applications?
For this glitch, it isn't necessary to use a backup. It's just safer.

There's an issues now. Think I'm doing it wrong, but Ive done this twice and my Gaslight Batman was elite 4, and now hes elite 1. 2nd time it's done this today and now I don't think I'll max him cause I'm tired of losing progress.
That's a sign that your Google Play Cloud save did not update. If you're willing to buy a bronze pack, you can almost certainly force an update by logging out/in to Google (through Injustice), buy a bronze pack, log in/out of Google again
I did that both times. I evwn did a normal story match, multiplayer and bronze, and gear but it didnt either time. But this morning I did it in a random order and tried it all again and it finally worked. He would be maxed and ready to hit E8,9,&X by now but he's only reaching E4 now.
So as of last night I tried 5 different times to reset the challenge. It finally reset, but I lost a promotion & a few gear promotions(no problem I can redo it). But my issue is my Google Play or WBID refuses to update no matter what I do every time. After I reset the challenge, my WBID overwrites the gold lost from buying a pack, but still shows the challenge complete. I'm following the steps 100% and then even tried other things but got the same results. The only way it has reset both times in the past 2 weeks is if it force closes on its own after I login on my WBID which is when I lose my progress. Any suggestions?
Best suggestion would be to play a day or two online before attempting to reset. It sounds like your game is bringing you back to an earlier point in time than is useful -- playing more online gives your saves a better chance to update. Assuming that you're still doing all the other things that would typically update both the WBID and Google play saves
Does anyone knows the steps to create a duplicate of the files?
I'm having the issue with the redownloading of the obb files and it's taking a long time while taking up data.
I'm also not sure about the step where I have to manually restore the files. Help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey i Have a small issue, whenever i try to reset the challange the cloud save will go back a couple hours before i tried the glitch. Is there anyway I can consistanly make the cloud save update before doing the glitch? Ive already tried logging out and back into google play
We don't know. If we had to guess, it would be buying something in real cash from the store. It seems there are things that *might* help, such as making adjustments on a character (promote, level up, increase specials, augment, going in/out of online mode, etc.) but no guarantees.
Tried it multiple times and could not get it to chose the device save over the wbid save.
- I purchased a bronze back and it didn't work
- I completed an offline battle and it didn't work
- I then attempted the glitch again and did both and no luck
any suggestions to what i might be doing wrong?
More details about the exact steps you took, plus anything that deviated from what happened in the video would be helpful

I have tried this countless times and these are my two results, cloud icon and challenge do not appear, or, both appear, I play a match, open the challenge, and it isn't reset. The difference between me turning off wifi is like literally a second. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. My phone loads the game pretty fast

it doesnt work for me on android 11. I am following the steps from the video -> google data save -> delete app data & cache -> starting the game and doing google play message pop-up -> right after that I disconnect -> game starts with cloud on top right of the screen -> most recent save comes -> connect to the wifi and still the challenge hasn't reset.
looked at one of the comments saying to turn off wifi as fast as possible after connecting to the google play when you turn on the games after deleting app data. still didn't work, help me broda!

Hey bdckr. This glitch has been working perfectly on my device since last month. Now when we buy the booster pack and log in back to our WBID account, the challenge doesn't reset it reverts back to nightmare mode. Tried it several times but still no sign of hope :(
Do a fight before reconnecting, then reconnect during a fight, then but a booster pack. Also, don't login via MP

I managed to do this recently with the last Jessica Cruz challenge on iOS I don’t know how I did it bec it happened randomly but it did happen when the early multiplayer reward glitch happened so maybe there’s a connection between the two on iOS

I do everything right I believe, the cloud symbol pops up like it's supposed to and I tap on it and reconnect my Google account but it doesn't reset the challenge progress. (Even before I've turned off airplane mode or anything)
If you get the Google Cloud, but the challenge didn't reset, that's a result of staying connected too long before disconnecting. It seems some devices are too quick and the small window of being connected long enough (for the Google recovery to download) but not too long (where the game saves challenge progress) is pretty short

In my settings I have either clear cache or clear storage. Is clear storage the same as delete app data?
Yes, "clear storage" = delete app data
also my injustice cloud data dosent update after every offline match
When I cleared the data of injustice and then clicked the app it didnt skipped the downloading

If you noticed before you started everything u were already on airplane mode so when do we turn that on? Before or after
Only at the point where we say to disconnect from the internet. We are connected by wifi only, so we always leave this device in airplane mode.
so i got helium working and backed up injustice to my computer, i noticed you said to back up your google play cloud save. how do you do that? with helium? or just by logging out of the google play and logging back in. thanks again for the help. so i just tried it did everything you did, only differences were when the white page comes up when you clear data and start injustice i turned wifi off a lil earlier then you. then i waited loaded it up and there was no cloud symbol so i re logged into my google play and wbid and got my account back but challenge was still in expert not reset please help much appreciated.

Turning off your wifi too early is what prevents the cloud icon from showing up. It needs to stay connected long enough for the Google save to be downloaded to your device.

Slightly ambiguous question, so not sure what you're asking.
1) can't complete phantom zone now because PZ event is over
2) if by "complete" you mean "reset", then it just happens when you reset the challenge
3) if by "complete" you mean "finish", then you just have to plan: do a bunch of challenges before you start PZ, or don't reset challenge until you finish a run (or runs) of PZ
@@bdckrgaming sorry about the confusion 😅, I am thinking about playing challenge till character get at least elite 7, if possible extra 3 copies too for elite 10. Then I can try for phantom zone. Last time when the phantom zone was running, I tried this method and completed challenge on for two difficulties. So to get more copies I had to reset the challenge and at the same time phantom zone was resetted. This is my question. Hope you understand.

When backing up your save, do you need to use helium or titanium or can you do it just by backing up your google play account?
You don't "need" to use helium or titanium, but we prefer to for safety.

Also one more thing, when I opened up online battle, it said that the active season had 7321 days until it expired, and yesterday it said one day. Do any of you know if this was caused by the glitch or how to fix it? I might just need to reset my phone, but i dont know.

That's something which happens intermittently for no particular reason. It just fixed itself.

I followed the exact steps and it worked but my WBID login overrid the challenge progress. Wanna know is the glitch still working or have WB made an update in this regard.
I also know a glitch to play breakthrough up to 24 times per day.. let me know if you want to know
You need to watch the part in the video where we explain how to force your device progress to be prioritized.

I have followed all the steps to the point...
1. Update cloud save by playing a match
2. Close the app and clear all data
3. Switch on the wifi and restart the app
4. Just after the google sign-in occurs switch off the wifi.(i have tried a lot of different timings. A Lot)
This is where my problem begins, the cloud icon doesn't show up no matter what i do, it's non-existent on my device.
Is there any solution to this issue or does this stop the glitch from happening entirely?
Yes, it's required. Try this once: don't disconnect from the internet. If the cloud icon still doesn't show up, it's your google account that's the problem. If it does, then you just wait a bit longer to disconnect

Then finish a few offline fights, spend something in the store, upgrade a character - basically play a bunch - before trying to log in
Hey, I was just wondering....if I was to make this glitch when the current challenge has 1 day left, does that mean that I'd have to wait until the 'glitched challenge' 5 days pass so I could move on to the next challenge?
That's not how it works. You must have this mixed up with a previous reset that required changing the date. Even if you were changing the date, you should never be leaving the date and time wrong while connected to the server. The next challenge should be coming at the usual time.

If you're on Android and you followed all the steps, the reason the cloud doesn't show up is that you disconnected from the internet too quickly

The message is when it was created, not when it was last updated.

I tested several times, the one that worked was:
1. Open the app (it crashes)
2. Turn off internet connection (while main screen of your smartphone)
3. Open again the app
4. The app didn't had the cloud icon
5. Close the app and open it again
6.Click on cloud icon
7. Enable internet again
8. Successfuly challenge reset

Cloud save option used to pop up for me but isn't poppping up from past 2 days.And another method with wbid process works sometimes not always for me.Sometimes it works on 50% cases..once in 2 consecutive trials,sometimes it fails in 3 consecutive trials.I am in deep shit it seems.Why cloud save icon isn't coming?

I don't think it's the problem. Cause to verify it I didn't turn off the internet at all.But the icon didn't show up.I also uninstalled play games and injustice game,reinstall it again.Yet the issue didn't solve
