    On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
    A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉
    🏍️🏍️🏍️
    Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!

      I agree - I appreciate his concise instruction. Although I fail to grasp the relevance of your remark about "Americans." There's no shortage of people across the world who fail to provide clear and concise communication. For example, I used to work with an Indian man (very knowledgeable and respectable) who would use 100 words to explain what 10 words would've accomplished. But I did not walk away thinking that all Indian people aren't good with conveying instruction. Just an asinine thing to think.

      @kevinnorris6157 I would recommend you reread my comment, which was entirely level in tone. I am pausing now as you do.
      If you think that some part of my comment was "fighting words" then you are wholly unequipped for life and far too easily provoked. I insulted no one; rather, I responded to your unusual comment accordingly.
      You, on the other hand, responded to me just now in an irrational and juvenile manner. If anything - your comment conveyed actual fighting words. Learn the difference between candid, mild criticism and "fighting words," otherwise you'll never hold down a job or be liked by anyone who has even the mildest disagreement with you. Later, Kevin.

    Correct, you don’t have to lean the bike for tight turns, but you do have to lean the bike for quick tight turns. While there are sometimes situations that require slow and upright tight turns, you’re intentionally taking the instruction to lean for tight turns out of context. In the majority of circumstances, it’s impractical to make slow and upright tight turns.

      @jsmit9484 3 місяці тому

      @@VenomRoadRacing Idiot. I'm not talking about a normal turn. I'm taking about a turn at really slow speed.
      The majority of the turning is coming from the front when pointing it in another direction then the rear wheel (hence why you can turn while keeping the bike straight).
      You could try that at high speed, but you'll high side due to the centripetal force. That's why you lean, you steer using the difference in circumference of the tire surface instead of the direction of the wheels.
      If you increase your lean angle at slow speeds, these two steering mechanisms combine to make a sharp turn, but the majority of a low speed turn comes from the first mechanism.

    • @jsmit9484
      @jsmit9484 3 місяці тому +1

      So I'm not saying you don't need to lean. You'll fall off if you don't. I'm saying at slow speed it's mostly handlebar direction, at higher speeds it's almost only lean angle.

    At higher speeds if you do the same thing the bike will lean by itself, the gyroscopic effect when in effect at higher rpm is a situation where you cant actually turn the handlebar, but actually only lean the bike.
    So sure for slow turning in parking lots and so on its fine, but at high speeds if someone is not aware of the effect it can be a unpleasent surprise as the bike just leans instead of turning.

    Currently preparing for my handling test for A driver's license in Finland. The first test in the handling test is slow riding and you are supposed to basically complete an "8" with 2 stops (only allowed to touch the ground with 1 leg in 2 marked spots). Speed cannot go above 6kph. If your leg touches the ground / your motorcycle engine stops / your bike falls or you drive too fast you get instant fail. Sadly there are almost no videos on youtube that show you how to learn slow riding (under 6kph or under 4mph) properly.

    When instructors tell students to lean the bike further to decrease the radius of your turn, they’re referring to high speed counter steering. Know the difference between slow speed bike control and being able to lean hard to not end up on the outside of a turn. Turning your handle bars like that over 20 mph gonna get ya gone!

    Pleaseeeee don’t take this advice. The reason you lean into turns is to keep your weight balanced so you can easily maneuver in small spaces. By staying upright while only turning the handlebars, your body will naturally keep moving in the direction opposite of the turn, making you crash. Focus on looking toward where you want to go and your shoulders and body will make the bike turn toward your target. As long as you remember to look where you want to go, your body automatically does the rest.

    Does he tap the rear break or front break while doing that ?

      Typically you want to drag the rear brake when performing low speed manuevers. Grabbing the front brake can result in locking up the bars and dropping the bike.
