- in this challenge, I will not change austria's ideology from how it starts as non-aligned.
with our less than 7 million population, we will defeat not only germany, but italy, hungary, romania, Yugoslavia, czechoslovakia, and even push into soviet lands!

Clearly all Austria-Hungary's artillery was pure paprika powered Magyar artillery
Most of Austria-Hungary's artillery in WW1 was manufactured by the Skoda factories, which were located within the borders of 1936 Czechoslovakia.
Yeah but Austria still had the technology records of how to make artillery.
They just lacked the manufacturing.
I'm so glad you redid that one. I still wake up in a cold sweat because of Austrian Poland and I don't think I would have survived looking at it again

dawg how are your divisions so untouchably godly i cant understand. can someone explain how enough equipment and manpower is possessed to hold and push back against peak germany, causing a casualty ratio of 1:28, with 0 airpower. one single, cheap, unreliable SPAA battalion adds enough armor to the whole division to negate 50% of all damage? it just seems too easy. you make it look so easy
i just imagine a rolling barrage of artillery followed by these enormous metal boxes with 1 ft thick armor and tractor engines with an AA gun sticking out the top and one single cramped dude in a turret surrounded by crates of ammo driving in a straight line through hordes of the enemy, helplessly firing at the steel box in vain. half of them randomly irreparably breaking down. in the shadow of the unassailable mobile steel fortresses, infantry support follows closely behind to capitalize on the shock and disbelief caused by the boxy steel tractors, utilizing them as cover.
why isnt making well-rounded tanks and dedicated tank divisions (concentration) superior to highly specialized armor-AA tanks sprinkled into each infantry division? i just cant understand how like 10 divisions could hold against and defeat the entire german army and air force
Japan always becomes hostile to Yugoslavia on historical, leading the allies to guarantee them if you’re playing as them. If you’re not playing as YUG, there’s no guarantee, Japan justifies a wargoal, and YUG joins China. It’s a coding error, Japan is made hostile to the wrong tag. I agree with the hypothesis that somewhere in Japan’s code it says YUG instead of YUN
it's always nice to see someone play a minor nation which is realistically doomed and turn the tables
Not only is it fun to watch, it's even more fun to do yourself. The level of satisfaction from succeeding is proportional to the difficulty of the scenario.

Yugoslavia should've given a check on their "Join the Tripartite Pact" foci. If there are European fascist faction left, then the foci got bypassed instead of joining an Asian fascist faction.
Seen that a lot. Somewhere in the code, there's probably an event where it says YUG when it's supposed to say YUN.
They actually generated a wargoal, presumably by focus.

@@hatless_spider , Yugoslavia joined the fascist faction, but the "Serbian anti-fascist officer" spirit kicked in and throw Yugoslavia out of the faction.
The faction's leader can then choose to go to war with Yugoslavia or let them go.
Usually, the fascist faction leader is Germany. But if no one is available in Europe, Yugoslavia joined the next best thing, the Japanese.
This game is one big meme (in a good way). Excellent build up and great micro! Gotta do this myself too now!
have you thought of creating a fake deficit of some type of equipment in the division training queue and then selling it to build faster? as long as you have army xp you can just add a bunch of like armored cars or anti tank or something that you wont use, and then just ask nations for it and then sell it
Yeah getting lendlease for sale can work, but as part of the challenge I didn't want to cheese for an easy victory. Essentially self-reliance only
@@hatless_spideri wasnt talking about this playthrough specifically, just wondered if you had thought of it. i would think it could be pretty lucrative for just getting a bunch of civs out quickly if youre at war. or i guess you could buy out everyones guns and then sell them at a higher price

Why can you produce medium light or heavy if u research inter war tanks but if u start with it researched u cant
I've never run into that issue.

Hello, isn't Interwar Medium Tank with "Welded Armor" better than Riveted Armor + Sloped Armor + 3xExtra Ammo Storage?
It also makes you save more tanks because your reliability is 56%, not 30%
Also more armor and breakthrough but less defense
It gives slightly better armor, but it's also more expensive IC wise and has a chromium cost as well.
For someone who has lots of chromium it could work, but austria doesn't have access to it
