Wow, what a fun week. Thanks so much for sharing the Sewing Bee with us poor people who don't actually get to watch it. You always make it so fun. FYI - the historical definition of panniers is "part of a skirt looped up around the hips." I think they used them underneath the dresses to give the dresses shape and make the waistline look smaller. Love your red dress, very festive. Thanks again for sharing.

You do a fantastic job of commentary on the show and I am amazed at how diplomatic you stay, my first thought on the judges decision was not quite so forgiving 😂 it absolutely all depends on the last garment you sew! Keep up the good work and your jacket looks amazing.

I totally agree with you with regard to the fact that it is a competition - so while the time constraints are a bit annoying they are necessary for the competitive aspects. For me I never miss an episode.

Oh my goodness wasn’t Luke’s amazing! So deserved to be garment of the week. Loved how all the bees whooped and cheered when all the models came down the car walk, but they really cheered for Luke’s! Great to see 🎉❤

Panniers - they were used in, I think, 18th century, dresses to spread skirts very wide. It was said that women used to enter a room side ways because the panniered skirt was wider than a doorway!
Love the sparkly jacket. I was also very disappointed to see Alex go, it just goes to show you only need one not so good garment and you’re out. Really enjoying your synopsis every week

Sam your jacket looks AMAZING , which pattern did you use and sorry if you already said. I will miss Alex as I loved her personality and humour but as soon as I saw her diva outfit I knew she would be out because it really did not stand out like the others did and the brief was IMPACTFUL so despite Suzies errors her garment was stunning and fit the brief. Yes she’s hanging on by a thread each week but I think it’s her design flair that keeps her in. Luke’s was amazing and deserved garment of the week. As you said if Alex had chosen a different outfit she probably would still be in and I totally agree with your comments that it’s a competition and there will be a winner. We don’t criticise bake off so why are we criticising sewing bee. ? I love it and look forward to it each year and don’t want to lose it. I love the judges and I love the hosts we have had and I love watching your synopsis each week. ❤❤
How is Suzy still in, she has been poor for weeks & alex gone😮😮. Much better sewist
I absolutely agree, she has been consistently bad….my husband says she’s good tv. Alex has been consistently very good, so disappointed for her
