Episode 9
Sewing Bee Series 10
It’s Semi- final week❤️🐝
Master pattern cutter Cristobal Balenciaga is the inspiration for the Pattern Challenge, as the sewers recreate a version of one of his dresses.
In the Transformation Challenge, taking the lead from the iconic Jean Paul Gaultier, the sewers are given a pile of neck ties and tasked with using them to create a brand new garment.
Finally, in the Made to Measure, Coco Chanel is in the spotlight.
Four remaining sewers, three challenges, but which one will miss out on a place in the final?

Thank you for another wonderful roundup of the British Sewing Bee 😊. I really do enjoy it a lot. Your friend Diane ❤
Love the nerdy stats Sam 🥰
Brilliant synopsis, I agree that Luke smashed it out of the park this week, the tie dress amazing as was their final garment such a shame collar wonky 😊. Think final is going to be very close, depending on challenge think Pascha might edge it! Thank you sparkly Sam 😃✨
Great vlog again Sam and you got it right about ESME having a favourite, but even she had to concede this week. I would have had Alex in the semi final. I also thought Luke should have got garment of the week with his amazing tie transformation. Seems Pascha on paper looks favourite, but I am firmly team Ailsa but think Luke will win. Not been my favourite series I am afraid but will miss it.
Such a great roundup! Thanks Sam ❤ those stats are so interesting! Definitely the right three and I’d no idea pascha was top so often!
Loved the transformation and I think Luke’s deserved garment of the week, it was amazing! I’m definitely tempted to try myself I can see a beautiful bag from ties. I noticed that about esme and Suzy’s Velcro 😂 I still think Alex deserved to stay in, your stats were very interesting! I think I’m team Luke ❤
Thanks for another enjoyable video. I found your stats really interesting....🤨I think I enjoy you tubers' commentary videos as much as the actual programme! I love that you get yours out so quickly - while I can still remember what happened. Cheers 😘
Definitely the right 3 people in the final! Can’t wait for next week, but will also be devastated as I love watching the bees each week. Thanks Sam for all your hard work and time invested in entertaining us all ❤
Brilliant synopsis Sam, the stats were really interesting. Definitely the right 3 in the final but I’m a little sad Suzy didn’t make it, she’s been my favourite from the beginning with her quirky sense of style 🤩
A lovely video Sam - I have so enjoyed watching your synopsis each week.🌸
Hate maths …love your doing it for me😀as always love you 🐝 analysis Thankyou!
Love this watching your synopsis every week, I am team Ailsa
Really enjoyed this, Sam! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It gets harder the closer to the end it gets and like you, let’s remember it’s about the creations not the personalites - they all have feelings and deserve to do well ❤ xxx
@@suebrown5500 absolutely 👍🏻
I always try to keep an open mind on the sewing bee as everything can turn unexpectedly but I've enjoyed your evaluation of each contestant. I think this week was particularly challenging and I thought they did very well considering.
For me I'm a bit torn between Pascha and Luke but I definitely feel that Pascha has that steady approach and she really does create some beautiful things - quite understated but exquisite at the same time. Looking forward to next week.
Thanks for making these vlogs. For those of us in the US it’s the only way we can see what’s going on with the Sewing Bee.
@@ElleGrayTea you are welcome 🤗
Hi Sam, today is a very happy yet sad day for me. Happy because I have just finished watching all of your UA-cam videos, which is also while I’m sad 🤭. I enjoy your videos so much. I totally enjoyed your Christmas vlogs (especially the trivia with your son). I’m in the US so I’m really enjoying your Sewing Bee videos as we don’t have access to them here. Thanks so much for all your time and effort that you put into these videos.
I thought Luke would get make of the week with his transformation challenge, too.
Brilliant video, as always.
I don't have fav to be I only watch your summary videos.
I loved all outfits today.
Can't wait for your summary of the final week
Thanks Sam, great vlog, great episode, I’m team Ailsa I just love what she does but thought Suzy was so bright and colourful and interesting, a possible star of the future with her amazing designs xx
Another fab video Sam. Love that you pack so much into an informative and entertaining watch. Thank you so much for your time . Big hug ☺️x
Thanks so much! ❤️🤩
Sam, you are BRILLIANT at this. I had Ailsa as a finalist from Week😮 1, so I'm feeling a tad smug. I think, despite Slimming Club is on Thursday, the final will be accompanied by Champagne and hang the consequence. Thank you so much for your time and effort editing; you are much appreciated x
❤
Even my husband commented on Esme is holding on the Velcro it’s not stitched on. He is learning more about watches the sewing Bee. I might even get him to make a shirt but I’ve already made him loads
I'm with you on Susie being Esme's favourite. Susie was a car crash and should have gone 2-3 weeks earlier. I think next week it will be a close run between Pasha and Luke, although the trailer seemed to suggest Pasha wasn't having a good day. A red herring I hope!
I’d love to try to make something out of ties. If you’ve ever seen Bluprint diy, it’s the kind of thing she does or that people do on her Facebook group.

Must check that out x
Why on earth didn't Suzy simply turn her dress inside out, put it on her model and pin it to fit, then sew? At one point we heard her question why she was trying to alter the fit by eye! And she did that twice, I think. The trickier job, the bodice, was a really good fit but after two goes at altering the skirt, it was still huge!
