  • Actor James Laurenson has died and it's worth remembering his iconic TV kiss with Sir Ian McKellan which screened on some American TV stations in 1970 at 5pm, and didn't cause a fuss! More controversial was when James Laurenson was cast as Aboriginal detective Napoleon Bonaparte in the 1972 TV series Boney. Later, when Bony was remade, they hired an even whiter actor to play the part. Will we ever see Australian TV do some authentic casting with this iconic character?
