Ikr! You should try moonlight chicken but it's English subbed only. I was hesitant because the synopsis sounded boring but boy was I proven wrong. The chemistry and acting and directing was phenomenal.
The thing that surprises me the most from the gay community is that most of the gay world knows nothing about all the hundreds of wonderful BLs out of Asia and these BLs have been coming out of Asia for several years now. I have asked many people in the US, Canada and Europe if they have watched any BLs and none of them have ever heard of BL. What's going on?
I totally agree! So many East Asian countries produce a ton of gay/"BL" ("Boy Love") movies every year. Fortunately, many of the studios release them to UA-cam where you can watch them for free! I have a special folder where I can save Gaysian movies to until I have time to watch them -- there are so many of them! I agree with you and worry that I don’t want him to be typecast but in fairness, I’ll watch this series and I didn’t watch that movie he was in with Sofia Carson where he played a soldier who marries her for insurance or something, so maybe it’s that his queer roles are in more compelling projects and if that keeps getting him work and experience, that’s the most important thing.

It's the story of a national athlete who goes blind, and the roughneck mechanic who becomes his caretaker. Every episode is a work of art, from the writing to the acting to the cinematography to the soundtrack. It's free on UA-cam and has aired 8 of the 12 episodes so far. Definitely a MUST SEE!

Thanks for the update.. yeah we need more black writers and producers because I only see 1 series that’s not reality tv the others have already been out because I feel like gay shows are only targeting one audience in my opinion I’m sorry I will support a few but like damn we really do g have more than 1 black gay couple with a solid script that’s in prime media like it’s 2024.
I’d be nice especially younger black gay males to see themselves on prime shows other than reality are other black views get what I’m saying? 💚 Romeu & Romeu from Orbis Apertum. It is a version of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. (But notice the spelling change of RomeO to RomeU & RomeU.) It is set in modern day Brazil. The script is not completely the Shakespeare version. Choices for subtitles are: Portuguese, Spanish, & English. An interesting take on this RomeU & RomeU is that the first minute or two of each episode are more like the 3 witches in Macbeth than they are anything in Romeo & Juliet.
