  • If you've watched my previous videos on the saga of the 1994 Ford F-150 Disc Brake Conversion, you know I ended up left without a parking brake.
    This video details how I fabricated my own brackets for installing Wilwood MC4 Mechanical Parking Brake Calipers to work with the existing Little Shop Mfg kit.
    Was a bear, but I finally got it. I know it's a long video, but I tried to give a full picture of what this process looked like.

    Genuinely appreciate you sharing your honest experience! Was heavily debating if I should snag the Little Shop MFG kit for my OBS Chevy C1500, but now I have a clear decision to stay on drum brakes till I've gotta few thousand or few hundred horsies too many. Thank you for saving me my kind sir!

      Morning, Jeff. There were some comments mentioning some things I didn't try related to the original calipers. I had already returned those in favor of the Wilwoods by that time. So my issues could certainly have been self-imposed and not the fault of the product. But unless you have a very specific reason for the conversion, I think drum brakes are perfectly fine.       @@rckclmbr85 Only reason I'm converting is because I want to LS swap and maybe twin turbo the truck someday, so would be nice to have some better stopping power over the drum brakes. After watching, looks like I'll be good to hold off and wait until I actually need to buy those Wildwoods you had a good experience with all the way around.

    I think it would be easier to use rear disc brakes from a late model Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis car as they are 8.8" axle assemblies like the F-150. Redrill the discs for the truck axle lug bolt pattern and maybe the axle register (center) hole as well, these backing plates have parking brakes incorporated for those that want or need them too. ~2000 MY Ford Ranger/Broncos have 8.8" rear axle assemblies so those brake assemblies might work as well with the same hole drilling for the rotors.

      Thank you for doing some awesome content!!! It makes me wonder why Wilwood does not have a specific E-brake kit for this model by now!?! Why all the blatant lack of support for this model?

    It should be put in the bottom corner. because it will be damaged from the road surface such as rocks thrown at

    Can you please leave the Wilwood part numbers you used for you brake brackets and calipers? And can you leave the flange measurements it should be for this year?

      Evening. The parking brake calipers were Wilwood WIL-120-15484-BK and WIL-120-15485-BK. Even though that's what I ordered Summit still sent one gray one : \ The hydraulic brake calipers and brackets were from Little Shop Mfg. Actually not sure on part numbers for those.       ​@@rckclmbr85 Mornin, Wil-12-15484 and WIL-120-15485-BK says: Caliper MC4 Mechanical (parking brake). What is the part number for the calipers?
