I would just like to add this for the people, Drain your rear end, its most likely NEVER been opened since you've owned your truck, and i'm sure your axle seals and bearings are in need of service. Most people who decide on these conversions have over 100k on them so just service your rear end and replace the worn parts its only an extra 100 bucks for bearings, seals, and oil.... You can tear it apart once to do it or do it twice when you have to replace your seals and bearings, the choice is yours to make.... One last thing, any brake fluid that spills, CLEAN IT UP, it will lift any paint it comes in contact with.. Excellent video my friend, you include everything unlike many other videos that leave out critical steps and things..

Hey are u able to give a list of which ones u got please and thank u
Call them. They will tell you.
Did the brake master cylinder need to be upgraded to a nbss 2000-2004 disk F&R, or 2005 with the master cylinder for a front disk/Rear drum? Do you feel after two years that you would have used different parts?
Definitely a better stopping power
Thank you for the quick response
You're welcome
just bought the kit for my suburban
Awesome. You will love it.
Great build, I am going to look into the kits for my 97 two-door. I asked a Willwood rep who had the best kits and he said Little shop Mfg. thanks, Travis. I see you got your pellet gun ready for the Zombie invasion. 😁
Thank you. Yeah good stuff. Bring on those zombies
What kit did you get if you don’t mind got a 96 two door myself
If you call them they will point you in the right direction. Great guys to deal with. Tell them you watched my video and they will hook you up.
@@TWAMotorsports I appreciate for the response back nothing but an excellent video definitely will re watch when install my setup on my Tahoe👍
You're welcome
My first build. Does it come factory with 10in drum or does it vary?
Varys
great job! I am going to do my 99 4X4 SUBURBAN THANKS AGAIN
Thank you
Wish it was a 2 door 4x4 Tahoe that you did a video on, that's the one I will be doing next week. With Little Shop rear disc kit, the later model master cylinder, 3/4 ton front calipers and drilled and slotted front rotors too. Wish me luck. lol
Good luck.
What about the abs module? will it still work/communicate with the rear disc conversion? Or would you have to upgrade the module
Sure does
Are you able to use the stock 15inch wheels in the rear?
Can't confirm that
i just repaced the master cylinder, and im still have problems with a spongy pedal (after bleeding the brakes, 4 wheel disc from little shop). what would you reccomend me to do?
Did you follow their bleeding of rears?
Great video! Just did the same kit on my 1990 454 truck!
Thank you. It's nice stuff
Will the rear kit work with a 91 light duty ? I know there’s a couple different rear end flanges
Standard cab..
Call them and ask to be sure. Great to deal with
is it really worth it or just a new thing to have? I want to do it but I have new drums and brakes on the back, I dont know if i'd be wasting time and money since I stop just fine, I completely rebuilt my entire front end, i mean EVERYTHING, have new Bilstein shocks all the way around, just not sure if this upgrade will do better or even add value to my truck
I thought it was better but my drums were not new.
@@TWAMotorsports question, i have Beltech sway bar on the front and rear but passenger side tire lightly rubs the sway bar, are the bushing the same or is there a spacer for the passenger side? it was like this when i bought it so i dont know
No idea on belltech sway bars.
Do you know if we can go to any auto store and buy replacement rotors or do we have to keep buying rear rotors from little shop after making the conversion ?
If you call them they should be able to answer that. Not sure
Maaaaaan. Trav you killed it again son! Night and day difference looks quality and how they perform. Bad ass brake kit. Great video. Keep it up 🤙
Hey I saw a lil TA in the background that’s been getting a lil love...
Thank you. Yep ta video for Thursday
@@TWAMotorsports right on
What brand are they and would it work on a 98 suburban to ?
Yes. All info listed in video description
Absolutely liking the truck/build! And, wishing I had one as well. Would love to have either this or your green truck in my garage.
Thank you. For the right money both could be purchased lol
@@TWAMotorsports I am afraid to ask what the right money would be...as much as I want to. 😂
High on the green one.
When replacing the rear pads in the future which make and model pads do you get from the local part store?
looks like s10 pads say a 1992 mkd 50s or 52's
I thought they said mustang at one point but don't quote me on that
Noticed you used dot 4 brake fluid. Should it not have been dot 3?
Can take either
Do you know if 454ss wheels will fit on these brakes
I don't but if you call little shop they will confirm
so its the new body syle master cylinder that gives a better pedel feel?
Yes but since I did all this at the same time I don't know what did the most improvement
I'm having trouble with my ext cab obs on 454ss wheels on a 4/6 drop. My lower control arms are digging into the rim. Any tips?
Grind that area off
@TWA Motorsports oh yes I will try this thank you
👍
New to ur channel but this the one that got my attention good job and keep it up im watching
Thank you for watching. More to come on this down the road
@Twa motorsports do you need a proportional valve for the conversion cuz I just bought this kit
You actually do not
What was the master cylinder part # that was used in this kit?
Link in video description
Does cutting the exhaust short like that cause any issues
No
Would you recommend this kit if you tow or haul once in a while? Does it have enough to safely slow weight?
I would think so.
How did u change the rear end too disc brakes?
This video covers that
@@TWAMotorsports true 👍 sorry bout that
Really good vid, thanks for sharing the infor.
Thank you
I need help guys I have a 91 Chevy Silverado with a 305 two-wheel drive I got discount front drums in the back and I want to do a conversion like this I have 15 inch rims now I know I'm probably going to have to go to what a 17-inch rim?
Call little shop manufacturing
Went to their site... all I'm seeing is rear disc brakes. Haven't seen an option to do all 4. Please advise if I'm doing something wrong.
Call them.
Did this truck have the JB5 or JB6 brake system? 10 inch rear drum or 11 inch?
10 I think
@@TWAMotorsports Thanks, last question, did you have to change the spindle for the new caliper?
No I didn't but lowered at the same time
Thanks for the information, wish you were closer to me, I love to bring by truck to you! @@TWAMotorsports
I don't have time to do my own. Lol
What size are the front and rear rotors? Really thinking about ordering this kit for my 96 2dr Tahoe.
Honestly I'm not sure. Call them and tell them you saw the video. They are great to deal with
Very nice truck
Thank you
If I do rear disc, will my stock rims fit? (454 rims)
not trying to put different rims.
Not sure but little shop manufacturing should be able to answer that
