Digital Caliper Comparison - Starrett vs Harbor Freight

Do you get something for spending $116 on a Starrett 799 digital caliper when you could just walk down to Harbor Freight and pick one up for $25? It seems so, but maybe not as much as you'd hope.

Did you make sure to measure the exact same spot multiple times? It looked like You moved them around quite a bit.

Can't guarantee anything at this point - this video was a while ago. I will say I do like the auto-on feature, but the battery life on the Starrett is terrible. Probably 6 - 8 months sitting in the toolbox. The original battery in the old HF is still going strong.
