Nope - I gotta say, the Bug-a-salt is the BEST stupid money I have spent in decades. FLYSWATTERS are actually getting pricey if you want one that lasts more than a few swats without disintegrating, while this thing is able to take them out at a distance and in between tight spaces without destroying a table centerpiece display. The immense satisfaction alone is worth the cost once you've had a successful hunt, especially if you are like me and truly DESPISE flies. In fact, I even recommend bumping up the level with the SHRED-ER CO2 powered weapon, as THAT is a whole new level of raining death upon pestilence! Nowadays, I hear a single buzz and I start to SMILE and gear up for a hunt... 100% worth the money for both the pump action and the pistol, can't go wrong with either, and twice as good with both. Whomever came up with this idea is my hero. I get happy every time I use it.
That's a myth atleast in the usa honey bees are invasive and spread diseases to native bees species like bumble bees and also out feed humming bird making them also endangered
@@prospectorsoils1240 Gerbil is a rhetoric warrior. Knows nothing of what they cry for but crying all the same😅. I once did a video on how to get rid of carpenter bees homes by spraying WD-40 in their bore holes(they destroy your house and are aggressive af). Rhetoric warriors came at me for it. I told them I live in a heavily wooded area. No shortage of trees in Kentucky so it's not like I was destroying anything with an endangered habitat.
No we don't acctually there are plenty of native American pollinators that do the same job. Bees are an agricultural livestock shaped by man to produce honey, not a native pillar of the American ecosystem.
Thanks for the video - glad I didn't throw the $10 away. And I agree 100% that $50 is too much - as long as the price stays there I refuse to even put this on my wish list.
I have the bug hunter double barrel as well, it works semi well up close with house flies but I agree, definitely more of a sight than a shot. It is good for house spiders though!
Spiders explode with real salt gun 😂 me and a friend were fucking about with it I was missing every fly so he said shoot that spider point blank! Shot and it blew up 🤣 all over hit new extensions freshly painted wall 🤣🤣
I have both. Bug assault 3.0 is way better. With the cheaper one it takes multiple shots to kill a fly. Usually it messes up their wings only. The bug assault is a one shot one kill from the same distances.
Have had 5 bug a salt, only one of them broke because some idiot put coarse kosher salt in it. Never had an issue with it. Buying #6 for my 4th restaurant
shooting out of less barrels would probably make it MORE powerful, not less. this is assuming that both barrels use the same air reservoir, which, for a $10 toy, it most likely does.
@@yungsteezy4500 I suppose it's possible. I had an old bb rifle I got used from the boys outside. I had to load by dropping a single shot down the barrel. I tried dropping rock salt down the barrel. It just blew out salt dust. But... needs, the candy, worked really well.
The Bug-a-Salt SHRED-ER is based on the Crosman Vigilante CO2 pellet gun. Do a quick search on YT and you'll find lots of review vids and discussions. The Bug-a-Salt guys sell preloaded 10 round rotary clips, that also work in the Vigilante (haven't done this myself, but again, lots of vids on it). Also, vids on how to reload them yourself. The main advantage of the BaS version is a smooth barrel which will give a tighter group than using it in a rifled barrel (if you know anything about shotgun spread, it's the same principle). Won't add any more details, so if you're interested search for videos on the SHRED-ER. And happy hunting!
I have the buzzbee bug slayer and it works like a charm my friend has the 3.0 bug assault and while it’s more powerful I will say both effectively can kill wasps
wahoo, I own several BUG A SALT bug killers n yea no video coverage , I have hunted all they bugs from camel crickets to flys even yellow jackets ( those bugs ) require a few extra pumps but the first shot will knock out for a few seconds giving the shooter time to reload and finish with the OL boot stomp !
Don’t tell nobody else you can’t kill a fly with that 🤣🤣 I’ve logged thousands with bug hunter. As for the safety you can just keep your thumb holding it down you can still reload with safety off.
10 dollars!!! People on Ebay ,,, $40 for the double barrel ,,,, found mine Today at the thrift store,,,,6 bucks! ,, Only missing the cap on the loading chamber
Bug a salt is Garbage. You will be wasting your money. Doesn't kill anything. It's weak. I was hoping it was going to be cool but I assure you that it is junk. I am hoping that I can prevent at least one person from wasting their money
Maybe you got a defect. Mine kills just fine, but you do have to be closer than 12" for a big fly. Its not effective at the longer claimed 3ft distance except against house spiders.
I wonder if you could take it apart and put a stronger spring?

😂😂 paint your face camo getting ready for the fly hunt 😂
👍😂😂😂😂😂
Ditto, it rules
5:09 You shouldn’t shoot bees. Bees are in decline, and we need bees..like we really need bees to survive.
What kind of “Bee” was that? The type that pollinates? Or the type that hunts other insects?

That can definitely be modded with a stronger spring.
I appreciate this comparison and review. Thank you! 🙌🏾

I have the very first Bug A Salt and it still works great, I love it and flys aren’t fast enough to move
Sam's had Bug assaults on sale for $11 5 years ago when i bought mine
Thanks for the honest review.
Can you load seasalt grains into the cheap one?
At 0:54 shows 280 reviews at 2.6 stars 🤣🤣
I have a red dot laser on my bugger 3.0 👍😎✊

Good looking out. You get what you pay for.😆 Awesome videos!! I see the Idaho hats back there 👀 we're here out in Twin Falls 😎👍
Busted up at the thought of you unloading on a poor little spider .
I got a free Bug-A-Salt at a work Christmas party 2 days ago, so far ive killed several flies on the first try, and its SUPER satisfying

The Bug Hunter kills flies IF you crush the salt into almost a powder.
My Bug A Salt broke after the first few months of ownership.
Can we modify a pellet gun into a salt gun?
Most pellet guns are too powerful. Just turns the salt into powder. (I tried shooting rocks salt before and that's what happened).
@@ryanford736 most? So I should try a weak one.

This video is pretty fly!
$10 that is a great price- I would make a sci=fi gun for cosplay
I'll fight calling it an,, aSALT shotgun ,,, pretend i didn't say that
I got mine at Cabela’s for $40

Yes thank you I agree
Have you seen the nerf guns same price if not more
I upgraded the spring on my Bug A Salt and now it can kill wasps and hornets.
How’d you do that?
@@ScottCStew Found a bigger spring and swapped it out
bug hunter will kill a fruit fly but thats it.. oh and almost point blank..
Sounds like a skill issue
Pretty fly for a white guy.
Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinqo, cinqo, seis. 93 blue bottle flies on the wall....
My buddy found a bug assault at a garage sale for $15

Fly swatter works for me. No salt needed. Your welcome.

What are you talking about?! Bug-a-salt is the best performing salt gun there is. Maybe your unit is defective. Exchange it for another one.
I have 6 of them and my employees love using it.....
