Thank you (and Taryl)!!! Today I found my primer bulb detached on the first use of my Toro 3650 this winter season with 4 inches outside. Dang it! I really shouldn't be complaining being that this will be the first repair done on my 20 year old Toro 3650. I've ordered the replacement part and your video will be helpful with the repair.

FYI. It wasn't necessary to remove the front panel. After removing the prime line from the primer bulb, you simply squeeze the two clips on the primer bulb and pry up on the white base of the primer bulb and the entire assembly comes out. Easy peasy. I also found a five pack of the primer bulb fully assembled on the base on Amazon for $9.

Just found this! Looks so easy. Will get on it before our next snow. I've been cheating all this time. I saw a video where the guy sprayed some carb/choke cleaner in the hole and it fired right up! Worked for me as well..first pull!! Thanks, time to do it right now.

These primer bulbs are the weak point of this machine. It's a beast otherwise. Thanks for watching and hope your replacement goes smoothly. Cheers

Changed mine in 30 seconds with a new primer assembly (white and black piece together) simply by gently prying out the old, pulling off the hose, reconnecting and pushing it back in.

Brant what perfect timing here!! Now my primer bulb broke on my CCR 3650 probably with the very sub zero temps of sitting in the garage. I have not gotten the clutch spring on yet because its just way too cold to be working in the garage (but I have it here). I also ordered the screw that I have here for the cable clamp too. I just ordered a new primer bulb a few mins ago on Ebay and while I was at it ordered a new spark plug, I figured if I had the cover off might as well get the spark plug while I'm in there anyways, and not sure how old it is as it was in the machine when I bought it. We got snow today, and I did get it started, without priming it but it took plenty of pulls to get it started. I am from Chicago and I figured after this sub-zero stuff ends and I may end up using the machine once or twice more (most snow here is little just to shovel) and then I can atleast do the spring, the primer bulb and the spark plug when it is a decent temperature outside. Atleast I can still use it just to get by to the end of the season, I just used it earlier without the clutch spring but kept the handle engaged the whole time.

Glad the video was helpful. Good thinking with the spark plug.
I live in southern Ontario in Canada about an hour from Toronto. Our winters are pretty similar to you guys in Chicago. I only use my machine a handful of times most winters. But sure beats shovelling. Take care.

All you need to do is shoot some canned air into the primer hole. Can also use starter fluid, carb cleaner etc, as long as the straw fits in the primer hole.
