This game is so good, backtracking in locations is something that should be expected in a lot of games, you do it all the time. Idk why it hasn’t gotten enough attention. The studio definitely has potential
This game is a real gem. The invisible walls are attrocious and there are a few minor plot holes and character complaints. But oh my god the visuals. The boss fights. The quests. The character arcs. The plot twists. DAMN its so good. Most unexpected 8/10 game ive ever played in my life.
I've been trying to search for a "proper" review of this game for quiet a while now. Glad to say I finally found it! Thanks a ton! Keep up the great job! :)
A very informative review. I've had the game sitting on my shelf for a while now. but after watching this I feel like I should give it a shot. It sounds like a good, decent way to spend a few hours!
One of the best things I love about the game is that Spiders made no moral judgements. Every faction has good points and bad points, every faction has its violent extremist ideologues, from the Theleme inquisition with a dogmatic religious view that brooks no dissent, the Congregation having opportunistic merchants willing to exploit everything for their own profit, the Bridge Alliance scientists not having any moral or ethical boundaries on the limits of science, the Nauts practically gouging all the other nations to keep their naval superiority and the natives having tribes so against anything not a native that they will violently oppose any settler from the continent. And our protagonist gets to see the danger the continent is in and how it is affecting his mother so he can see the desperation that the colonists are facing. Players can do as they will. All the politics in-game fits the setting and our hero is caught in the middle and is by default part of a faction that is neutral.
This has got to be by far one the most insightful, incisive, objective and honest game reviews I have ever come across - been gaming since space invaders back in the 80's so I do mean that comment xx ty for this - on sale in Xbox Gold atm.
Well, thank you very much for those kind words. I honestly thought this was one of my worst reviews, so it's nice to hear such things. You sound roughly my age, by the way.
@@KnightsArcade hey man if this is not the best you could do, that just speaks so much for how excellent you are at this! Keep it up this was very informative and a good length for a comprehensive review. Most of the other videos on this game were either too long or too brief.
This is a good review. I got this when it first came out and I have enjoyed my time with it, I think because even though I knew of the story generally going in, I went in with low expectations and didn't try to compare it to any other games. I think this is a good one to play for people who like "story-based" rpgs and when there aren't a lot of new titles coming out and you want get into something quick and familiar. For people who like a lot of action, the fighting arena can be fun with a good build. I've seen videos of people owning the combat with legendaries. Basically if you're curious and it's on sale just don't set any expectations around what it's supposed to be and let the game tell its story. It's better that way imo.
Christopher Columbus Lands on what we now know as America, they fought back the Natives but before the last one fell, they opened a portal from another realm that let magic and all sorts of creatures through, many years later, now our hero must harness this newly learned Magic to fight back these unknown creatures.
Just an amazing review, anyone who loves the rpg and survival games (had a peak at your about section an games you cover list) is somewhere the wife and I want to be. So adding a sub after watching this amazing review filled with real pros and cons from someone who played it liked it loved it flaws and all :). Kudos Sir
@@KnightsArcade Excatly! You'd think that since every other animation is quite good, it wouldn't be so hard to add one little jump lol..but so many games do this.. for instance they could do it like in The Witcher 3, where you could jump out of combat, but in combat jump got replaced with a roll...so in Greedfall, block? Would make sense.
@@AlenPesec good idea bud that would work. Crazy that you can't jump in some games that really could be doing with a jump button. I always wonder how they manage to come to the "nah, doesn't need a jump button" conclusion when it's SOOOO obvious that it does.
Only one thing ruined this game for me...the walking/running outside of combat is abysmal. Loved everything else, just couldn't get past how bad that was. Gameplay should always be first on any devs list.
I just finished it on ps4, and I can tell you honestly it's unplayable. I've been trying so hard not to delete it before finish it. I can't stress enough how bad it is on ps4. On PC it looks decent though.
@@khaldounyounes Honestly on Xbox its the same. It's like playing Dragon Age but with all the best parts of it taken out. It's just bad enough to be almost enjoyable, but not so bad that you give up entirely.
Your review of KC:D made me buy it and I loved it, looks like now you're going to make me buy this, damn you! I will still never stop being astounded that you do not have more of a following. You deserve more my friend, excellent work , yet again. Don't stop.
Same here I just bought it and after seeing some of the combat I think it’s be a fun relaxing game that won’t have me banging my head against a wall because the enemy has 4000,000,000,000 aka majin buu from kakarot
Excellent review!!! Sums up my feelings about the game pretty well. I got a bit discouraged with the repetition and lack of RPG depth that I couldn't be bothered to finish playing the game.
The game shows a tremendous amount of potential and the soundtracks are simply magnificent; I'd even dare to say so majestic that they provoke a feeling of unease that builds up the tension of the game. Unfortunately, the game is not without flaws. There is a myriad of bugs, glitches, dialog fluidity problems, ease of access issues and so on. It's a game of broad ambition but it feels unpolished as if the game had not been tested. It's easy to understand that with a game of that width to have a few kinks here and there, but I found that the lack of dialog made your companions feel hollow. The gameplay starts to feel quite repetitive after some time which, mixed with your companions and NPCs always spewing the same lines, can become redundant, I'd even dare say unnerving. The same "native" terms come back so often that by the time you finish the game, you're pretty much a fluid teer fradian speaker. No joke. Not to spoil any bits of the story, but at some point a change in leadership occurs in a faction, but that change leaves so many glitches: banners swap bugs, cringy unpolished dialog options and overall feel of conversations being just not that coherent. Fast Travel can only be done from travel locations or camps, but you have to reach them. Not that it's a bad thing, but the fact that you are on foot for the whole game makes it so much more painfully time-consuming. If we had access to a horse or a rideable beast from the local fauna, that would be a completely different story. Additionally, the world map being split in multiple levels, similarly to Borderlands (for example), and the overall map design being linear and route oriented takes away the feel of what should be a breath-taking open world. Add to it that the enemies aren't all that diverse, you get used to the few archetypes and from there, they simply vary a bit. But that doesn't take away the amazing sights the game has to offer though. Combat feels a bit clunky as the animations take a lot of time for your attacks to land, leaving the opportunity for any enemy to kill you 10 times before you actually get the chance to land a hit, that is of your difficulty setting is anywhere near average or higher. It simply does not feel snappy and can feel constraining and frustrating even at times. Nonetheless, the game provides many interesting and authentic features. First off, it feels very politically engaged; forcing you to involve yourself with the many factions and companions that surround you. When tackling a new mission or area, exploring beforehand pays off a great deal. So much so that you can mow through quests without even noticing it. The game offers a really diverse array of approaches, but after gaining a few points and putting a few hours in the game, you start to see, realize and feel that these various approaches (science, stealth, brute strength, lockpicking, climbing, etc.) simply do not feel exclusive as there's always another way and that takes away the necessity of investing in such skills. But the concept of it remains cleverly thought through. Secondly, the game showcases a unique genre; a sort of Mystical Land Colonisation vibe and a Political RPG feel both give the game it's signature trait. The game still deserves to be played and finished, it has a lot to offer players. It can only get better in the future. The concept is great, the music, graphics, art and screenplay is amazing. But I only wish the game was more polished, it seems as if it was rushed and the testing feels somewhat overlooked. I'd still be looking forward to a sequel, Greedfall is deserving of it. It is a truly unique game but as mentionned a thousand times already by now, it feels slightly clunky and static.
Greedfall is fking amazing. The budget shows, bring 100 bullets and you can kill any Nadaig. but it's made with so much heart. The story is amazing. Sure it feels like a visual novel but hey it's a good game. The combat is satisfying. The story is intriguing and it's hella immersive. Give it a chance.
I gave it a chance. When one of my reviews says "Ultimate Review" that means I put a LOT of time in before making the review. In this case I played it for over 100 Hours, and the game was alright at best. The story is good... in places, but I certainly would not call it "amazing". The combat was definitely NOT satisfying. And it patently was NOT "hella immersive" All reviews are subjective. I don't care how hard you try, a review is just one person's opinion. In my opinion, this game was weak, in many, many areas, but I did try to point out things it did well. But it is only MY opinion. If you liked it... good for you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The world would be a boring and predictable place if we all liked the same things.
I didn't buy this game because of its linearity but would be interested to see what they could do with a bigger team/budget. Interestingly enough Pyranha Bytes works with a small team as well yet they pack in so many more pleasing features and have outstanding game play values.
Knight's Arcade I just bought it for $17 on a PS4 sale. Seems like it’s worth it for that price. Might not be a perfect game but I think it will be fun. I’ll let you know what I think of it when I’m done.
I try my best. Responding to the people who take the time to watch my videos is very important to me, so if I ever stop doing it, you can be assured it's only because I simply cannot keep up with them any longer. Thank you very much for watching, and for the kinds words.
Amazing review. Just finished the game. 41 hours , all quests , side quests and stuff done in the game. I personally really liked it , reminded me a bit of old Gothic :D
Thank you very much for the comment. I wasn't a huge fan, as I'm sure you could tell from the review, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. We all appreciate different things, and it's good that people still love the game. Thanks for watching.
Seems obviously that you wouldn't be able to max out everything otherwise what is the point having a skill tree, they are for you to choose what kind of character you want.
Yes, of course. That wasn't a complaint, I was just warning people who like to spread the skill points around that if they do that, they won't get very far. Some games, especially Elder Scrolls games have so much content that you can max out everything if you enjoy the game enough to put that much time in.
I buyed the game and struggled trying to play it, besides the difficult of it getting my interest... now I realize that maybe it really won't, and I should focus in the right things, in spite of have great expectations
Oh I fucking loved this game. So unique and an absolutely amazing world with some good great character. I want to see more of everything which isn't something big open world RPGs make me feel often. Even if it's not technically not a 100% perfect game it's got so much potential for a sequel or even sequels.
Great game. Would be 10 times better if I could see my badass crafted weapons on my character as I explore though. So immersion breaking pulling weapons out of thin air. Who cares about cape clipping? Make it an on or off option then.
I have to play it in bits because the pacing becomes unbearable; - constantly getting snagged on objects and terrain - the constant monotonous pacing - using aggro animals and parkour cliffs to artificially block you from advancing too quickly, because got forbid you're tired of killing the same thing the twentieth time.
I see a lot of potential, I was looking for something like this because I saw it and thought it looked quite interesting, but due to the fact i've never heard of it before I wanted to be a little informed before spending anything. From the looks of it, I may actually try it out, you have my thanks for your informed review!
theres some grey area buuut i found a lot of quests made it pretty easy to see what the good moral choice was. the witcher 3 definitly has tougher moral choices than greedfall.
I am very immersed in the amazing writing in the game. Combat is fair and fun, but boss fights are a bit too dual and drawn out. The XP tree is indeed very poorly executed. All in all when it comes to all new fantasy RPG s, on console anyway, this one seams to illuminate constant interest shimmering among all the others in my opinion.
I just picked it up for 15 or 20. Its got challenging combat with enemies much tougher than I am atm. Ive been playing for 8 hours and only explored the serene, new serene, and one wilderness area.
@@KnightsArcade I'm liking it. I'm just not looking forward to getting all the endings cause I like getting trophies. So far its alright. Just doing a bunch of side quests before I progress the story.
So I started playing GreedFall since it’s FREE on PS Plus. For anyone who curious if it hold up in 2021, Yea it does and Nope at the same time lmao. So I love Open World RPG games like Witcher, DragonAge, and Dark Souls etc and if your desperately looking for a RPG like me than here what I think 💭 (please read everything) (btw put 10 hours) This game came out 2019 but it honestly feel like a 2013 early Gen game. It looks grainy with yellow and grey everywhere, controls feel outdated and clunky, the World and NPC are simple or dumb bots with a lot of cut corners. The writing is mix but not dumper trash. NOW that being said the game is DEEP and with a cool/interesting mechanics. There these faction clans and you have to wear their clothes to blend in this plague word mess. The game takes place in a weird civil world renaissance in a dark fantasy setting and that a cool idea. While it feel outdated 100% no one can deny that, it honestly FUN to play and see what’s coming up in this crazy word. It’s not better than Witcher or DragonAge but if your looking for a RPG, I will say give it a chance at least put 5 hours before deciding. Overall 7/10 (Max) (5 Low) Graphics 6/10 Mechanic 4/10 (6 Max) Music 5/10 Combat 4/10 (6 Max) Writing 6/10 World 6/10 Fun 7/10 My next comment will be helpful tips and recommendations. THANKS FOR READING!!!
So FIRST I recommend playing the game in Normal mode ...FOR NOW!!! At least in the beginning town (Tutorial town) the mechanics are SOO BAD and clunky so starting in HARD MODE is just frustrating since you don’t know how the game works and will die 10+ times and it’s not your fault. Get used to how the game REALLY works like I did than after leaving TUTORIAL TOWN than put it in HARD. The game too easy in normal mode so Hard is recommended but ease to it don’t go for it. Now the Command button (PS4 L1) it’s really good tho at first i thought it was so dumb. Try to understand it and you don’t have to used it per say but USE THE BIND button (Square button) so you can choose what quick button you want to use for shortcuts! Example: shoot gun: Directional UP Setting Traps: Directional DOWN Healing: Directional LEFT Magic: Directional RIGHT NOW you can pick whatever(your choice) and there more like R2 with X or O etc but I like the one button press for my shortcuts. Second I recommend playing the tactical player. The tactical class feels like it was meant to be played in this world. You have One handed sword 🗡 A gun 🔫 Traps 🪤 For the stats: TALENT Go with SCIENCE. People say LOCKPICKING but you have take your parter amor with Lock picking +1 NOW VIGOR and CRAFTING are good too and eventually you will need Level 2 for most of them (Max is Level 3) I’m going for Science 2 first, than Lock picking 2 than whatever next. For the attribute go either Endurance, Agility, and Accuracy first since Tactical class need those points. For the leveling up your character I recommend going for the magic right away the “STASIS” which you will need 2 points so save your first two points to unlock it. The magic good even tho your a Tactical class. You will freeze enemies and it’s so useful. Now your a hunter with magic and your done. Now focus on your hunter side like your Gun and Sword points to get Roll/Rifle/Bomb skills. Simple but dumb look closely for boxes cuz the light is where you can loot but it’s bad so keep a eye 👁 I think that everything just have fun lol and tell me what you think
@@ErolGamel is a lot better to explore most of the maps and get the fast travel than I do main/side quests and I get them done pretty fast ✅ I just like being efficient but the understand like I said music is a big part and I made my own so it feel nice playing. Also didn’t have to grind to get the good mechanics like roll or throwing bomb etc. I think the world 🌎 okay yes it all forest but it’s diff types and some are pretty distinct like some have caves or foggy swamp etc. I understand tho
The talents / skill system kind of feels like it's from a different time, and certainly the combination of combat, setting, and writing in this game can take you by surprise.
I've heard this title being compared to Fable alot and I was instantly sold while I know this is not a AAA title and there are quite alot of issues and nit picks but I can already tell this is a Game I'll enjoy thanks for the In-depth review
I picked up the game on release but dropped it shortly after making it to the new world and didn't really want to pick it back up because that first part took so long and I knew I'd have to play it from the beginning since I didn't remember any of it But after re-reading The Powder Mage Trilogy and craving a game with a magic system as well as pistols, Greedfall fell back onto my radar and I've been loving it and I wish there were more games with systems like it. It's like a more serious version of Fable 2, and I definitely enjoy that (edit: omg I literally wrote that part midway through the video right before you describe it as "Fable without the humor" so that's kinda crazy)
Actually I kinda like this game ... I hate the low enemy variation and the shallow combat that gets repetitive . But the side quests , the progression system and the choices/decisions ... These things keep me going
Played through it twice. Realized two things. Play through #2 got the same exact outcome, while playing 2 completely different styles. 1st play through, I maxed out charisma and initiation early. Second play through I didn’t touch either... Same exact outcome. This game is broken at its core. Why have a skill tree that doesn’t effect the outcome of the game? It barely affects the dialogue. The second thing was technical build and science talent #2 allows you to make your own ammo. I was OP against everything by level 10-12 on extreme difficulty. This game is broken...
I can’t even dignify your proposal with a response... I’d have to restart a game I couldn’t stand after the first play through, just to prove your point? I actually have a life. Believe it or not, the world DOESN’T revolve around you... Sorry. Your game is shit. Get over it...
Just done with the game, around 30-40 hours with almost every sidequest done. Its enjoyable and i actually enjoy the story and character albeit the character are very cliche. The main story and some of the side quest which somehow connected are quite interesting I think the main problem are the game filled with too many invicible wall, the color pallete and the world are very uninteresting and bland. The game also have many repetition, de sardet house are the same in every city, the tavern, barracks and arena, the camp when you fast travelling. It makes travelling are really really dull, especially many of the quest require you to travel back and forth.
I absolutely adored that game right up to the ending, which is rather Mass Effect-esque. I don't mind semi open world games at all and I overall weirdly appreciated not having an instantaneous fast travel system. What did annoy me was the romancing system where you needed to choose certain dialogue before certain events in the game to advance a romance. By the time you'd decided whom you actually liked the chance to romance them had likely passed already.
Yeah. I wasn't a big fan of the game, but I understand why a lot of people were. I agree with what you say about the romance options though. Thanks for watching.
Damn it.. I wish you would have started the video with "You can't jump" Would have saved me 16 minutes of "Well, I really want this game despite the flaws" to "Fuck this and everything about this game and it's developers!"
The game was okay... but not something I would ever play again, nor something I would even recommend particularly. But that's only my opinion, of course.
I like the game I just don't like the companions. I don't want their help or to run i to them anymore. PLUS if I hear that things are "getting dicey" one more time I might put a bullet in my brain.
cool review man :) i really loved greedfall!!! in fact its the first gameplay project on my youtube channel and id love any feedbacks and i do agree with you that u always have to run from a to b that made me crazy! hahahaha hyped for greedfall 2 tho i think it will be better since they got more budget for it!
Yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of it, but we all like different things. I can understand why people would like it, and I'm glad you did. Thanks for watching.
I was so hyped for Greedfall all the way up until I saw a review stating there is not much combat and more narrative and decision making. Thats all great stuff but man I wanna kill shit, ALOT of shit and build up to kill shit harder and in cooler ways. Well it was on sale for days of play and I just couldn't resist cuz some delusional voice deep in the back of my head whispered...........what if he's wrong? Welp, here I go, I hope he was wrong.
@@KnightsArcade Thanks I decided to keep it in my back backlog of games for now and play Resident Evil 7 instead. That RE Village trailer was so good I wanted to finally play Biohazard which was only $10. This game is scaring the piss outta me and I like it. Lol
I find it boring, played like 20 hours before forgetting about it and just remembered it, to uninstall. There was a review where it was compared with Dragon Age Inquisition, done right or whatever it was worded there. But for some reason i still have that game installed hoping i'll get to it some time and finally finish the story, but gave this one the boot already. So there is that.
This was a great review. Its currently on sale for $17 on psn store. I think i might give it a shot for that price. Not expecting the best but if its a decent action rpg, i'll be happy.
The treading from one place to another really grated on my nerves by the end that I just wanted the game to finish. There was so much unnecessary fluff added which took away from the excitement and progression. Having said that, it was a fresh, interesting plot in an interesting setting with interesting characters. Great game. 20 developers is nothing to scoff at in terms of what they've achieved, i look forward to their next game.
I thought the story was quite interesting, yes. I would take another look at a game from Spiders, but it would have to break from the Technomancer/Greedfall mold. Thanks for watching.
The main character of a story typically has a lot of agency, same with the main villain, has nothing to do with white savior or not. Anyway don't know you compare this game to fable and not bioware stuff.
Did anyone else not experience the bug that doesn’t allow u to progress and see a member of the council? It’s so irritating is there any way to stop it or fix it
I was good with most aspect of this game except mid-late game combat. Once you get to lvl 15+ combat becomes easy, even in hard difficulty my two handed, alchemical bomb build was destroying most things with ease... probably my own fault for grinding a couple levels off the arena.
True. But it was only a AA game with a smaller team. It did pretty good in sells... hopefully they can get a much better budget, more support for a more ambitious project later on
I enjoyed it although it did feel flat in a lot of areas. I could forgive a lot but what got me annoyed was the poor design of how the story can develop. Quick example. I met my cousin and we talked business. I left. The game expected me to go on some long epic journey or something but i didnt. I stuck around and explored then went back to see my cousin. He acted like he hadnt seen me in awhile and it just felt scripted and atatic at that point. Cool game though and it does have some nice story telling and characters.
Thank you very much. I think if I had only paid £15 or £20 for it... this might have been what I expected, but £54?? It just wasn't worth that. But that's only my opinion, of course.
Never undestood “can’t fill out all the skills” as a complaint. Whats the point of making a character in an rpg if youre just going to make them “blank slate thats good at everything”
Yup. I agree. It wasn't really a complaint. More a way of trying to be informative about the game. The skill tree isn't big, but neither is the game. Unlike Valhalla, for example, which is over-long, and the skill tree is essentially pointless, as you will probably fill every single slot on the tree, quite easily.
$18 on PS and I still can't pull the trigger. It just lacks a lot of what I want in a game. I looks like a cross between an amateuristic AC and Fallout with way better character modeling...but not by much.
Best review I’ve heard in regards to this game. It’s an ok game, but it becomes mundane, repetitive, and overall is... Well it’s ok. It’s not terrible, but it’s not great. It doesn’t get any worse, but it certainly doesn’t get any better.. I finished every mission, side mission, even found every written scholar note... Still couldn’t get to level 50, before saying, screw it, I’ll get it on next game +. I didn’t realize until after beating it that there is no next game +...
Agreed. That's pretty much how I felt about it... it was okay, but had far too many minus points to make it really stand out. Thanks for watching, and for commenting.
Haha I just bought the game to game back to my old gamer roots of just playing whatever game seemed interesting instead of trying to keep up with what’s popular and it was on sale. I felt you when said this game is basically fable without the humor cause that’s all I could think while playing
I’ve rolled like that for about two years . I don’t buy new games anymore, just pick up old cheap stuff I think looks cool . This game is a fkn sleeper hit!!
100h+?? The 30 hours I played was well enough. The constant running from a to b was a huge fucking pain in the ass. I had to turn it off because otherwise I would have lost my head. That's how bad it was
If they had more then 20 people making this game it would have been made better it’s still a good game but for $40 that’s not worth it I would buy it if it was $15
It's from the Greedfall soundtrack. believe it's called "Making Peace With Ourselves". The soundtrack does have some really great moments. My personal favourite is "The Fallen Hope", which you can find here, if you like: ua-cam.com/video/Ln8QJQHZI08/v-deo.html I love that one, but it's a bit... bombastic to use underneath narration, so I chose a different one.
Hey I thought I would say as of the time of writing this game is available on Xbox game pass for pc and I think the Xbox as well it’s a great way to play the game if you don’t want to drop full price but still play it
The Gothic franchise was seriously one of the most underrated in history. I remember playing the first two when I was really young, and absolutely LOVED them. Bugginess and all.
Hey man, can I have alot of combat encounters in Greedfall or is it more of a narrative driven game with limited combat? I really wanna kill alot of shit with black magic and a big ass axe or something and not in the mood to be diplomatic. Can I cause a war in this game?
My biggest issue with this game is your level cap is at 46, after that you can still level up but wont receive anymore of skill point, attributes point etc. Also playing in extreme difficulties dont rewards you with higher xp or bigger loot, you only got trophy if you finished the game in extreme difficulties.
Not sure I can play this, looks suspiciously like this land is my land. Shame as I like the format. However now that I see they are respectful to natives and aren't doing the classic John Dunbar it has peaked my interest. Thankyou very much sir.
Yeah... it's a pretty thin game, to be honest, but definitely one that is difficult to figure out who will like it and who won't. It gets a few things right, but overall it didn't thrill me. Thank you for watching.
i hate when a video game trailer only shows the cgi cutscenes and not the actual gameplay. although , i have had this on my wishlist for months. had no idea the game is already 2 years old. . . doesn't sound like the reviewer had a lot of positives to say. they said they put in over 100 hours and i can't tell if they liked it or not
Erm... I mean... I guess you can replay it and make different choices. My personal feeling is the game would be as underwhelming the second time around as it was the first, but that's only my opinion. Some people loved it.
It still amazes me that only about 20 people worked on it.
You can definitely tell lmao
@@actuallyhard315 It's still better than some that have ten times as many people working on it though.

Kudos Sir
Thank you very much. It will be a pleasure to have you with us. 😊
I really enjoyed the story and the ability to intervene in what almost perfectly parallels the European/Native American story.
Action RPGs without a Jump command is one of my biggest peaves and a big factor in weather i want to play it or not.
Yeah, it's major, major downside to me as well. Really immersion breaking.
@@TheMan-WithNoName hahaha excatly 😂😂.. Or assassins creed did it nice.. When you just sprint and jumps automatically on obstacle contact.. ✌️😊
@@khaldounyounes fairy tail ps4 better
@@khaldounyounes Honestly on Xbox its the same. It's like playing Dragon Age but with all the best parts of it taken out. It's just bad enough to be almost enjoyable, but not so bad that you give up entirely.
Your review of KC:D made me buy it and I loved it, looks like now you're going to make me buy this, damn you!
I will still never stop being astounded that you do not have more of a following.
You deserve more my friend, excellent work , yet again.
Don't stop.
Thank you very much. I appreciate your continued support.
Same here I just bought it and after seeing some of the combat I think it’s be a fun relaxing game that won’t have me banging my head against a wall because the enemy has 4000,000,000,000 aka majin buu from kakarot
I like your review style. It gave me a good idea of what the game is actually like as opposed to most reviews for this game I've seen. Thank you.
Thank you. That's always nice to hear.
And it patently was NOT "hella immersive"
All reviews are subjective.
@@KnightsArcade no u
I really like these reviews you have up of games you have played for really long time. Good going bro.
Thank you very much.
Someone's hard to please, i'm loving it.
I never watch a review of a game that I was enjoying as it will taint my opinion. Unless I'd just finished it ..
Fair enough. I've been accused of precisely the opposite many times too. It just depends what you look for in a game, I guess.
I didn't buy this game because of its linearity but would be interested to see what they could do with a bigger team/budget. Interestingly enough Pyranha Bytes works with a small team as well yet they pack in so many more pleasing features and have outstanding game play values.
Yeah... I think Spiders have great potential, but so far their execution has been pretty limp.
What games are you talking about made by Pyranha Bytes? JW
Knight's Arcade I just bought it for $17 on a PS4 sale. Seems like it’s worth it for that price. Might not be a perfect game but I think it will be fun. I’ll let you know what I think of it when I’m done.
Elex is their best one so far but all their games have been good.
Its not really linear most of the faction quests can be done in any order
Thanks for the well thought out review, I notice you respond to a lot of comments too. Good on ya
I bought this cause it looks like the closest ill get to Fable on PS
Yeah... I miss Fable.
You should try outward if your looking for fable on ps.
Thank you for saving me time and money with this well informed review
My pleasure.
Thank you for watching.
Good to see you still grinding and enjoying games
Thank you very much.
I just paid around $20 for it. This game is something I've been looking forward to ever since it came out but I never wanted to pay $50 for it
Yeah... it definitely isn't worth a $50 price tag. $20? Sure.
i bet you're pissed it just came out for free on ps plus
Who's here in 2021?
Me!
57 hours into my first playthrough right now. I am very much liking it.

Thanks for your feedback, Captain Anal.
It's not anal. Most people want a visible weapon sheathed or out at all times. The fallout 4 problem.
@@TheIrishRushin no shit truck driver leg.....
@@TheIrishRushin didn't realize the name wasn't anal. Woosh.....
I have to play it in bits because the pacing becomes unbearable;
- constantly getting snagged on objects and terrain
- the constant monotonous pacing
- using aggro animals and parkour cliffs to artificially block you from advancing too quickly, because got forbid you're tired of killing the same thing the twentieth time.
Yup. I feel your pain.
Your channel is unbelievable underrated
Thank you very much for saying so. That's very nice to hear.
I see a lot of potential, I was looking for something like this because I saw it and thought it looked quite interesting, but due to the fact i've never heard of it before I wanted to be a little informed before spending anything. From the looks of it, I may actually try it out, you have my thanks for your informed review!
My pleasure. You have mine for watching it.
Was able to pick it up on the Microsoft store for $8 !!!
I'd definitely say it's worth a play at that price.
Been missing Fable heavy so I picked this up to satisfy that itch. Worked pretty well I’d say, great review 🤙🏻
Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Hopefully there will be some more news on Fable 4 soon.
Informative and to the point. Thank you, I had decided tongive this game a pass, but your review has made me reconsider!
theres some grey area buuut i found a lot of quests made it pretty easy to see what the good moral choice was. the witcher 3 definitly has tougher moral choices than greedfall.
Fair points.
Thank you for watching.
I just picked it up for 15 or 20. Its got challenging combat with enemies much tougher than I am atm. Ive been playing for 8 hours and only explored the serene, new serene, and one wilderness area.
Some people have really loved it, but for me it was just... meh.
I hope you enjoy it.
@@KnightsArcade I'm liking it. I'm just not looking forward to getting all the endings cause I like getting trophies. So far its alright. Just doing a bunch of side quests before I progress the story.
Well done, sir. Amazing writing!
Thank you very much indeed. I appreciate the kind words.
So I started playing GreedFall since it’s FREE on PS Plus. For anyone who curious if it hold up in 2021, Yea it does and Nope at the same time lmao. So I love Open World RPG games like Witcher, DragonAge, and Dark Souls etc and if your desperately looking for a RPG like me than here what I think 💭 (please read everything) (btw put 10 hours)
This game came out 2019 but it honestly feel like a 2013 early Gen game.
Overall 7/10 (Max) (5 Low)
Graphics 6/10
Mechanic 4/10 (6 Max)
Music 5/10
Combat 4/10 (6 Max)
Writing 6/10
World 6/10
Fun 7/10
My next comment will be helpful tips and recommendations. THANKS FOR READING!!!
So FIRST
I recommend playing the game in Normal mode ...FOR NOW!!!
Example:
shoot gun: Directional UP
Setting Traps: Directional DOWN
Healing: Directional LEFT
Magic: Directional RIGHT
NOW you can pick whatever(your choice) and there more like R2 with X or O etc but I like the one button press for my shortcuts.
Second
I recommend playing the tactical player. The tactical class feels like it was meant to be played in this world.
You have
One handed sword 🗡
A gun 🔫
Traps 🪤
For the stats:
TALENT Go with SCIENCE. People say LOCKPICKING but you have take your parter amor with Lock picking +1
NOW VIGOR and CRAFTING are good too and eventually you will need Level 2 for most of them (Max is Level 3) I’m going for Science 2 first, than Lock picking 2 than whatever next.
Simple but dumb look closely for boxes cuz the light is where you can loot but it’s bad so keep a eye 👁
I think that everything just have fun lol and tell me what you think
@@YoBoyGio There are so many mechanics in this game that I love in other games but in this game it does not seem to click for me and I don't know why.
World for me like 30/100, its almost a chore to travel around especially at the endgame. Limited enemy design, lots of invisible wall, etc.
Good to know thanks
The talents / skill system kind of feels like it's from a different time, and certainly the combination of combat, setting, and writing in this game can take you by surprise.
Really good review, it’s only 13 49p right now on ps store so I’m gonna give it a shot as I’ve almost finished trials of mana remake. Thanks
I would say it's worth a shot at that price.
Thank you for watching.
It's free now.. lol..
I've heard this title being compared to Fable alot and I was instantly sold while I know this is not a AAA title and there are quite alot of issues and nit picks but I can already tell this is a Game I'll enjoy thanks for the In-depth review
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
One of the few games I returned before finishing, last time it happened was back when FFX-2 released
Can't say I blame you. It was... meh... at best.
I download it with the ps plus, and i delete it with 2 hours of game play XD
I picked up the game on release but dropped it shortly after making it to the new world and didn't really want to pick it back up because that first part took so long and I knew I'd have to play it from the beginning since I didn't remember any of it
But after re-reading The Powder Mage Trilogy and craving a game with a magic system as well as pistols, Greedfall fell back onto my radar and I've been loving it and I wish there were more games with systems like it.
Yeah... I can see why people do like this game, it just wasn't really for me. I think maybe I expected too much of it.
The main story and some of the side quest which somehow connected are quite interesting
I think the main problem are the game filled with too many invicible wall, the color pallete and the world are very uninteresting and bland.
Sorry about that. Lol.
i got the best possible ending i wanted my first run i dunno if ill ever play it again. i honestly found it a bit too easy.
The game was okay... but not something I would ever play again, nor something I would even recommend particularly. But that's only my opinion, of course.
I had it from first day but based on this review I will be selling it without playing. Thanks
I like the game I just don't like the companions. I don't want their help or to run i to them anymore. PLUS if I hear that things are "getting dicey" one more time I might put a bullet in my brain.
😂 I know, right? Like... please... for the love of God... if you have to make them say things, give them a bit more variety.

I guess there is a fair amount of combat in it... it's just very boring and repetitive. But I hope you enjoy it.
@@KnightsArcade Thanks I decided to keep it in my back backlog of games for now and play Resident Evil 7 instead. That RE Village trailer was so good I wanted to finally play Biohazard which was only $10. This game is scaring the piss outta me and I like it. Lol

I'd say it's probably worth it for $25. I paid double that for it, and I wasn't all that impressed.

There are so many mechanics in this game that I love in other games but in this game it does not seem to click for me and I don't know why.
5:27 I thought his name was De.
13:32 ...Same voice actor from Skyrim? He did a bunch if it's who I'm thinking of.
Very talented chap, for sure.
This was a great review. Its currently on sale for $17 on psn store. I think i might give it a shot for that price. Not expecting the best but if its a decent action rpg, i'll be happy.
Thank you very much. I think it's probably worth giving it a shot, at that price. It's not a BAD RPG, it's just not great.
Yea it's 30 dollars but on sale for 17.99 with xbox live gold at the moment which puts it at 19.42 after tax. Totally worth it in my opinion.
(The dlc inclusion version) ^
Another awesome review! Thank you!
And thank you for watching.
Did anyone else not experience the bug that doesn’t allow u to progress and see a member of the council? It’s so irritating is there any way to stop it or fix it
I'm afraid I had not heard of that one, no. But I haven't touched this game since I made the review.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
@@KnightsArcade no worries I just restarted it hopefully it going ok this time thanks tho
I was good with most aspect of this game except mid-late game combat. Once you get to lvl 15+ combat becomes easy, even in hard difficulty my two handed, alchemical bomb build was destroying most things with ease... probably my own fault for grinding a couple levels off the arena.
I just found the whole experience a bit... meh, to be honest. It was okay, but I think there were quite a few things they could have improved.
True. But it was only a AA game with a smaller team. It did pretty good in sells... hopefully they can get a much better budget, more support for a more ambitious project later on
Let's hope so. I think they have a talent for story telling.
Who's here in 2022? I just bought the PS5 Gold Edition from Game for 15 pounds (GB). Hope it's at least decent...
Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching.
Very good review mate . The games going for £20 at the moment on the ps store , so needed to see if worth getting or not .
Great review, loved it!
Excellent. Thank you for watching.
$18 on PS and I still can't pull the trigger. It just lacks a lot of what I want in a game. I looks like a cross between an amateuristic AC and Fallout with way better character modeling...but not by much.
It's honestly just kind of... meh. Nothing about it really blew me away, I was disappointed by it overall.
I know, right?
I’ve rolled like that for about two years . I don’t buy new games anymore, just pick up old cheap stuff I think looks cool . This game is a fkn sleeper hit!!
I would definitely pre-order a game called "Sexually Promiscuous Space Hero, Saves The Galaxy".
😂 I don't think you're alone.
I played all the serene missions and then uninstalled it. Not my cup of tea in the slightest.
I can't say I disagree, to be honest. I wasn't really a fan.
I did the same thing, i dont even get on the ship 😂
Amazing review.
Thank you very much. And thanks for watching.
Excellent review
Thank you very much.
100h+?? The 30 hours I played was well enough. The constant running from a to b was a huge fucking pain in the ass. I had to turn it off because otherwise I would have lost my head. That's how bad it was
If they had more then 20 people making this game it would have been made better it’s still a good game but for $40 that’s not worth it I would buy it if it was $15
Yes, I agree. It's worth it for half the price, but not for anything above $20.
Thanks for watching.
$12.49 on Xbox right now. Hope it’s worth that!
Nice review,honest opinion.
Thank you very much.
Knight's Arcade, what is the piece of music playing in the background?
It's from the Greedfall soundtrack. believe it's called "Making Peace With Ourselves".
The soundtrack does have some really great moments. My personal favourite is "The Fallen Hope", which you can find here, if you like: ua-cam.com/video/Ln8QJQHZI08/v-deo.html
I love that one, but it's a bit... bombastic to use underneath narration, so I chose a different one.
@@KnightsArcade Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my message man it means a lot. Honestly.
@@no-vaseline7467 No worries at all. I will keep replying to people who comment, for as long as I have the time to do so. Thank you for watching.
Great game! I loving
Have you tried a game called outward? Its soooo deep. Please try it!
DLC is in the pipeline, too.
I have been meaning to for a while, but just haven't got around to it yet,
Hey I thought I would say as of the time of writing this game is available on Xbox game pass for pc and I think the Xbox as well it’s a great way to play the game if you don’t want to drop full price but still play it
Thanks for the info. I do think it's worth it at a lower price.
Dear RPG devs,
Please make your games more like Gothic 2.
Thanks.
The Gothic franchise was seriously one of the most underrated in history. I remember playing the first two when I was really young, and absolutely LOVED them. Bugginess and all.
good game it left me needing more new outfits weapons and a dlc hope for a second game
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey man, can I have alot of combat encounters in Greedfall or is it more of a narrative driven game with limited combat? I really wanna kill alot of shit with black magic and a big ass axe or something and not in the mood to be diplomatic. Can I cause a war in this game?
I liked the 18th century aesthetics
Yeah, that was one of the things I liked about it. Not a setting you see in games all that often.
My biggest issue with this game is your level cap is at 46, after that you can still level up but wont receive anymore of skill point, attributes point etc. Also playing in extreme difficulties dont rewards you with higher xp or bigger loot, you only got trophy if you finished the game in extreme difficulties.
Just got a series s and game pass, it's time
Not sure I can play this, looks suspiciously like this land is my land.
Thank you for watching.
i hate when a video game trailer only shows the cgi cutscenes and not the actual gameplay.
although , i have had this on my wishlist for months.
had no idea the game is already 2 years old. . .
doesn't sound like the reviewer had a lot of positives to say. they said they put in over 100 hours and i can't tell if they liked it or not
It was okay. It just wasn't "great". A bit of fun for a while, but not especially memorable.
How’s replay value? It looks like a maybe?
Erm... I mean... I guess you can replay it and make different choices. My personal feeling is the game would be as underwhelming the second time around as it was the first, but that's only my opinion. Some people loved it.
I fekin loved this game
Love this game.
I just bought it for 16.99 and seems worth it after this
I think it's worth it at that price, yeah.
Thanks for watching.
