I still can't get over the "Stoner Sandwich" & the Stoner glasses from the other day while thinking BenDeen was stoned behind those Stoner glasses of his!! 🤣🤣
My bf tells me that the thumbnails of all korean mukbang channels i follow looks like the person eating is in hell. I can't wait to show him this minimalistic take on the genre.
This is because our guy actually enjoys eating and he's also rarely eating anything too far out of pocket. Best mukbanger to the point where I don't even want to lump him in with that genre
@@bananarabbit3 Real. I mean he's definitely in that genre to some extent, but more of his own subgenre, being a combination of tags like clean-eating, down-to-earth vibes, storytimes, etc. And I could be wrong, but since he's been around for so long, I feel like he may be the first in this subgenre, the OG, at least for the english-speaking audience.
the ones in the cup are nowhere NEAR as good as the ones in the bag package its literally seems like 2 different recipes and different noodles.. Please tell me someone else has noticed this?
It's so interesting how many different versions of Shin Ramyun there are. I'd love to do a taste test of all of them. Other than the ones you tested in this video, I've seen Shin Ramyun Gold - spicy chicken version. I've also seen the Shin Ramyum stir-fry version, and the Shin Ramyun Green - vegan version, and a Gourmet Spicy Vegan Shin Ramyun version. They also have a Shin Ramyun light version - with air dried noodles. All of these are sold at my Wal-Mart - in the USA.
You should do a customization one, use the 2x spicy packet in the black instead of the og packet. That’s the only customization I can come up with, literally as I’m typing this 13:54 you are about to mix them so never mind.
Interesting! I've always loved the OG Shin Ramyun, but now I really need to try the Black. It's not only twice the price in my local supermarket, but they don't have it in individual packs like they do for the OG. $7 for a 4-pack of original, $14 for 4-pack of Black. Worth it though, so I'll have to give it a shot. Doesn't look like they have The Red at all, but maybe an Asian market would.
dont forget that the original shin is like half the price of the black usually and i assume the red is a bit of a price increase too... so ye youre paying a lil more for a bit more quality or spice vs that OG shin, dont get tired of the plain jane
I had a Nongshim Shin Ramyun Big Bowl last night and the "spice" was surprisingly very mild. I really don't get the hype; the noodles are nasty. The soupy broth isn't too bad, though. I prefer dry stir-fried noodles to ramen. In my opinion, you can't beat a good ol' Chinese Chow Mein.
Your supposed to pull the top all the way off. That is not out of normal. Black is my favorite followed by the OG. Black has a creamy mushroom flavor added.
What heresy is this? I dislike soggy noodles but ill catch hands before being caught taking the whole lid off 😅 in my tiny brain leaving the top on helps spread the flavour better and helps the texture if not left too long.
honestly i like the packaged shin ramyun black than the cup one, the cup one (unless i guess it's from south korea) taste like pastic and styrofoam and doesnt have the same taste as the packaged one does.
What is the flavour suppose to be? I also, noticed that the colour of the broth sticks to the noodles better in the Black and Red and not so much in the original
Shin black is my favorite. Bone broth for real. Has more flavor to me. Nice depth and spice. Not as spicy as the OG. Didn't know about the red. And my spice tolerance isn't the best. Still spicy to me. I add bok choy and some squid or octopus. Add some sesame oil and dried seaweed. Man I just love the broth.
Ben- The black one. Remember the LESS WATER the more spicy. Put the noodles in boiling water. (Don’t ADD PACKETS) cook them around. Then pour out all the water and leave a smalllllll amount of water. And mix packets 🙂
The black Shin Ramyeon pack is my favorite, the broth is so creamy and it just hits different. My only problem is the mushrooms would be a 10/10 if it didn't have them
Could be an interesting taste test of the same Ramyuns dressed up with the typical add-ins. Egg, veg, cheese, seasonings, etc. What's the tipping point when the fav has too much added to it. The Black bone broth one is damn fine, IMHO.
Shin Ramen was my everyday breakfast back in 2010-2014 as a kid, they don’t taste the same anymore and idk why. I wonder if the black version tastes anything like back then and return some nostalgia, I miss it.
Black is just so good. Did anyone try the black packets (english) recently? I can't quite tell if it's the ingredients or the recipe, but I feel like the packet was better before and now I don't even want to get it compared to the bowl version.
I absolutely love the OG, and so I always buy it in boxes of 20, but I haven't tried the black one yet, which I think could be nice to have from time to time. The red one is probably too hot for my taste, and so I won't even dare to try it, since the OG is about the limit of heat that I am willing to tolerate, mainly due to the aftereffects of eating hot stuff💩
Only tried red and original, haven't tried black usually eat red. The originals alright but i usually add my own spices to it to give it more of a kick.
I hear Korean food is great. I love the spicy kimchi👍💯🌶🔥. I also hear there is a lot of weird foods that taste great also. Sounds like an awesome country.
People say the taste of the og Shin ramyun (신라면) has changed over the years and now the black tastes closer to the OG Shin ramyun back in the days when it was good.
I still can't get over the "Stoner Sandwich" & the Stoner glasses from the other day while thinking BenDeen was stoned behind those Stoner glasses of his!! 🤣🤣

BenDeen I absolutely LOVE the thumbnail!! LMAO!! 🤣
Black has always been my favorite! But it is much more expensive, at least in the US lol
85 cent increase where I’m at. Well worth it imo.
@@nematoadpersonally I just use beef bouillon and mince some garlic for that deeper taste

i thought it was ok. had a bit of a tomato taste ?

Yesss!!! The noodles in cups are ALWAYS different than the ones in bags!!!

Eat the black with a soft boiled egg. So good

Black is the best one by far love these
No way you can say 라면 instead of RRamyun????
SR black has a seafood base (shrimp and anchovy) plus the fake beef bone broth (bullion) , and costs more. I prefer the OG.
Isn't there also a shin ramyun gold which is like chicken broth?
It's my favourite one
There's two versions of gold. One with chicken broth and the other is with beef bone broth
Loving the longer vids
I can’t get the black here in the U.K… Gutted 😔

Your supposed to pull the top all the way off. That is not out of normal. Black is my favorite followed by the OG. Black has a creamy mushroom flavor added.
For me, I just find them to be too salty compared to spicy - the spiciness is a 6/10 for me. I always get super thirsty after eating instant noodles.
I was interested in the yapping in the end wtf Ben
this guy always makes me "is this the world's crispiest fries?"
It would be more informative if you also compare their prices. In where I live, black version costs almost twice as the original.
Throw fresh chilli into the Black and you've got your perfect ramen!
Shin Black uses real beef broth, that's why it cant be imported anywhere or is with a high price tag overseas.
Everyone overrates these noodles. They’re super bland and just spicy as the only flavour profile.
What heresy is this? I dislike soggy noodles but ill catch hands before being caught taking the whole lid off 😅 in my tiny brain leaving the top on helps spread the flavour better and helps the texture if not left too long.
