Love Sonoma. It flows so well. Those tires were screaming for their lives. Looks like a track alignment and a fresh set of tires would knock a few seconds off. Sub 2:00 would be pretty quick especially for your first time there. Keep up the good content.

Can you review the 2022 mx5, they added brake based torque vectoring they call it kpc kinematic posture control. It handles and turns in alot better and has less body roll. Nvm guys the kpc system is useless it turns off with stability control off, because if ur running aggresive track pads it makes it act weird, plus it doesnt make the biggest difference to begin with.

Awesome videos i love how much you share about the car. Living vicariously through you until i can order a 2023 model. Really looking forward to the alignment and camber adjustment to see what the results are. Sounds like the stock alignment is very tire friendly in terms of wear on public roads. Tires for sure. Set of cup 2’s would take care of all your understeer issues (even with stock alignment, as there are buckets of grip once they reach operating temps) but of course you’d get maybe 2-3 of these HPDE’s before you have to throw a fresh set on… pay to play ;)

That right hander when you're coming down hill and kept putting two off on the left.. Most cars will have a tendency to understeer there due to the weight shift forward and you're braking. It really shows though your tires just losing grip and the car needing a better alignment. There's a similar/slower sort of turn at my local track. At the risk of being captain obvious, with the current state of the car (in this video) I'm thinking you have to take that turn slower as coming into that turn too hot the car won't rotate and you just push off track. Following the s2k's line doesn't work for a stockish 86..? Either way nice videos man!
