Best to use measuring tape and go from center of swing arm pivot to center of axle....instead of hash marks on adjusters

Awesome video of course. Does this adjust the belt tracking as well? Mine rides a bit to the outside of the rear pulley. Thanks for your work man.

Thanks! Not too terrible of a job to do, but the tension gage definitely comes in handy. Makes it very easy to judge the ten pounds of pressure and also to see where it lines up on the outside guard. I've since taken the guard off, so glad I got that video done before that. Makes for a lot more work without the factory gauges. Thanks again Levi!

A good way to measure the exact distance of the axle bolt is to use calipers. This puts the guesswork out of trying to line up the metal marks.

What reference point are you using to measure with calipers?

Awesome! That's all I'm hoping for! Try to save you some cash and give you the knowledge and confidence to do these things yourself. Thanks for watching and commenting. Hopefully more videos can help in the future as well. Stay safe brother!

Hey Bryan, Vancouver Canada chiming in. I bought my '05 Warrior in April of this year. From the get go it was making a pretty noticeable pinging sound that was only present when the rear wheel was spinning. Turns out my final drive pulley is warped, because the previous owner had the belt way over tensioned. Bow string tight is too tight and now I'm out almost 400 bucks. Just thought I would share my story, as a cautionary tale for proper procedure on this sort of thing.

Hey Daniel, thanks for watching and commenting! Definitely a costly mistake for something that could have easily been managed. Have you already purchased the pulley? Seems like I may have seen a couple used ones for sale recently. May be able to save a little cash on one. Checking the tension is something a lot of people never even think to do until they start hearing funny noises or having problems. Bet you're never going to be in that crowd again, after repairing someone else's mistake. Thanks again for watching and for sharing hopefully it'll help someone in the future from going through the same thing.

@@RSWarriorBryan Already spent the money to replace the pulley, but I did look on ebay. I was hesitant to buy used for fear of having something be incompatible.

I completely understand that. There is a lot of peace of mind that comes with buying parts new, not to mention warranties. Sometimes it's just safer to take that route instead of buying used. Thanks again for commenting and showing everyone the expensive consequences of running a belt too tight. Stay safe brother!

Wow , thanks for this post, I have 2 warriors and in the last few years I had to move away from my brother, who is really good at mechanicals especially on a bike. Now I find myself with some knowledge because of him but never had to do some of this stuff without his guidance and no other help. So thank you as I am about to pull the rear wheel myself for the first time. I got a nail in my brand-new avon lol
