40 years ago I had a koi pond and not enough money to buy a proper lily pot. I cut the bottom off a garbage can. Then I tool the top part and lid - dug a hole set the bottomless can into soil and used it for doggy dodo and straw from bottom of goat bin. When full I covered with compost pile mixed with dirt. I dug a new hole when needed.small dog and I hole about every 4-5 months. In an area only for ornamental ..worked well and rhododendrums did very well.
Looking back I wish I had cut the bottom off instead of just holes. Either way it has worked well but I don't really want to dig it up and dump it out. These are in an ornamental bed as well which is the only way to go with pet waste.
I have a vermiculture technique I call “Vernmenting” that works pretty good for dog output. Does take a little longer to break down into worm castings than other materials I vernment, but they do turn it into their garden gold.
Sounds good, have you documented this process? The Bokashi system I setup want usable during the winter and the output is not reducing enough in volume.
World Composting yes come check out my channel where I have many Vernmenting videos, and more updates are coming. We vernment “EVERTHING”, if it’s organic our “little dragons” (Red Wigglers) turn it into castings.
Do you have an update coming up for this bin?

Uhh... you didn't cut the bottom out??
No but I put a bunch of large holes in the bottom. I'm still mixed if I should have removed the bottom but so far it seems to be working.
What about worms? Maybe that will work.
Wow what a beau boy
Poor Inocen Dog has to go through Camera humiliation... 😆
What do you bury for a 75 pound dog? A 55 gallon barrel? 😄 lol
I think there are people that do that and add water and microbes meant for a septic tank.
