  • The latest in the Legend of Heroes series from Falcom. This is one of the best times to hop into this massive JRPG series and give it a try! It is a series that has been going continuously since the 80s, right there alongside Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.

This new entry looks really neat :) I’ve known about the Cold Steel games but I’ve never really been interested in the anime high school setting.

Yeah, it definitely seems more up my alley. The main character is like 25 or something. Basically ancient by JRPG standards. And thank god cause I'm getting ancient myself. :P

So would you say it’s an good enough entry to the series without playing all the others

For sure. If you are already interested in the genre, and think the gameplay would be fun for you, this would be a good place to start.
The other game that gets recommended a lot as a starting point is Trails in the Sky.
But you don't need to know anything about the other games in the series to understand what is going on. @@ArgyleGamer

Usually people go to Cold Steel, but I actually had a lot of trouble getting into it honestly. I played the first two, and I just wasn't feeling some of the characters enough to really want to keep going at least for now. Daybreak is another good jumping on point. Or since you already played through Trails in the Sky, you could play Zero and Azure . Really up to you and what you're feeling.
I would recommend playing something else first so you don't experience Trails overload.
