There has been basically no news for months about the HD Remaster. People are wondering if it's been cancelled. So what is happening? #suikoden #konami #jrpg
Murayama already said he left suikoden on good terms, no animosity and much respect so they are probably letting eiyuden it's spotlight. Besides I don't like the new sound effects and ui, Konami needs to cook and polish that.
Thanks for the small update. I am dying to play these games again. I still own Suikoden 2 but not a TV that can play it. I played Eiyuden and it was a huge disappointment. A big part of Suikoden is the team-up attacks and in Eiyuden I couldn't find a team-up attack that was worth doing over a regular attack or rune. By the end of the game it felt like I wasted my time and money. I could rant about it for a long time, but instead I'll just say I would play any Suikoden game over Eiyuden.
@@lorddiethorn I already looked into the adapter. It's expensive and really only works on PS2. Would be cheaper and less annoying just to find an old TV for sale
I sometimes wonder if Murayama's death earlier this year has something to do with this increasingly long silence even after Eiyuden Chronicles' release
I think this remaster collection will also coming out for Switch, PS5 and XBox Series X/S. Let´s hope it will come soon. I´m really looking forward to it and I hope the fans will support it hard and show them actual interest in the series.
One of my favorite game series of all time. Eiyuden Chronicles was nice but I want my original Suikoden. Really hope these come out! Appreciate any update!
I think one of the reasons why we don’t have a new date for this remaster one and two is I think it’s gonna come out on Xbox SNX, PlayStation five and Nintendo’s switch to or whatever they’re gonna call the new Nintendo system
@@bobberto3399 you’re not the only one that wants this game a lot of people do me included even though I didn’t start playing this franchise until three on the PlayStation 3
I wouldn't mind a Symphony of the Night remaster with more items and new areas to the castle. A few new bosses would be cool too! But yeah, wish they would hurry up with the Suikoden remaster. I've been waiting so long that I'm debating on just replaying the originals again.
Adding all the Saturn exclusive music and weird castle additions would be very cool. But they have released very plain port of the psp version on the ps4. The games pretty perfect already though, I don’t know how much better it could look and play.
In the UK. 365 games has the game listed with a expected release date of 31st July, which i admit is probably just a placeholder. But a pre order price loks promising at least
I only hope they resurrect Suikoden and Add new Suikoden 6. I have been waiting for it since long years ago. They can summon me to add idea about the story if they confuse about Suikoden next story.. If I add the story : the next protagonist will be the young maiden from East continent..
They ran into some costly development issue. Just like how Nintendo ran into costly financial development with Advance War 1 & 2 remastered for the Switch and had to delay it for awhile.
Eiyuden was kinda disappointing, but it wasn't bad. I just want to play this! Suikoden 2 is just so incredible while part one is outdated and needs a good remake
It's Konami, the same company that left this series to die; what do you expect? I'm not putting my hopes on the Suikoden I & II Remaster, the last time we heard from them was in 2023, and I wouldn't be surprised if they canceled it, besides, I'm not a big fan of it, the UI looks horrible, and the character sprites don't go well with the HD environment, they need to upscale that a bit, or even better, make new sprites. I don't want a half-baked Suikoden remaster, especially since I still have my original Suikoden CD and can play it whenever I want on my PC emulator. So far, I've enjoyed Eiyuden, it's amazing despite its shortcomings, it does have its flaws, but at least I can feel the passion they have for this game, yet i feel nothing from the Suikoden remaster, which is weird since Suikoden was my favorite game growing up, maybe it's time for Konami to sell the IP to R&B and let them do the job. Suikoden was never Konami's priority IP man... so better give it to the people who originally created it, even though Murayama has passed, R&B pretty much carries on his will.
I wonder if their holding it off because of not only Eiyuden Chronicles release, but also because of the Game designer Murayama's passing. I still want to have this release though so Konami please release it at least in another year.
@@scottmendrala692 There hasn't been any news about that yet. besides the person I mentioned had passed away back in February 6th of this year. How would you think it'd affect a game like that? Now unless their Twitter page or their release plan has changed it to canceled. there's still a chance that it can be released.
Yeah but we have to remember they´re working on two games at the same time. They also might recreate or enhance settings and backgrounds literally whole maps and even the overworld. Also keep in mind these are rpgs with a lot of content and these take a lot of time and efford.
I agree with story-wise and lore, eiyuden didny hold up to suikoden 2 however, what it did better is the hq system and the characters have more and better use than any suikoden. Like for example they have characters good for mining, hunting and logging woods, which are the guild deputies. Then they have separate characters who run the mining, hunting, farming at home base. These characters arent wasted either because you can also bring them as support and can give a boon. The combatants have wide varieties too, though some are the same as others but regardless, it is more diversified than suikoden. They really just fell short on story and lore.
@@King-2077. The combatants are boring, most of the characters are bland gameplay and story wise. Also, most of what you say, was done by Suikoden before, but by later entries. The support thing was done since Suikoden 3 and improved in Suikoden 5, Eiyuden just copied and pasted it.
@@SeventhheavenDK nah eiyuden utilized and diversified the characters more than suikoden. Eiyuden did a better job at that, suikoden is better in main story and character-story and lore. Suikoden didnt have expedition missions you assign to characters. And certain character are good at collectinf resources. Also the support slot in the party was done by later suikoden but only as an entourage, no benefits whatsoever. In eiyuden different support casts, grant different boons. Also it’s hilarious when someone say “eiyuden copied suikoden” well no shit sherlock, it was made by the father of the series, and supposed to be a spiritual succesor, it is suikoden in a different form of name lmao. The game has its flaws amd shortcomings, but you cant deny the good things they did better.
Yep, while not a bad game, Hundred Heroes is forgettable and that makes me sad. What will people remember about it? The fun castle development system maybe. Aside from that... ...nothing really. They had a lot of kickstarter founding and they f'ed up 😥I keep hearing "it's a good foundation for a franchise", but when the first episode is ultimately forgettable, it's really not a good foundation. The first game in a franchise is of utmost importance ; if it's only okay or good / passable, it's not a good franchise starter. If I had helped founding the game, I'd be upset at Rabbit & Bear studios for not delivering what they advertised in their trailer : "a new JRPG masterpiece". It wasn't.
@@armorvil yea it is kinda unforgettable but thing is that will also depend on people. People value rpg differently. Suikoden 2 is a great game but its target audience is just as small. I would say eiyuden 2 is a good foundation because it is just a kickstarter game, the money they received may look big but developing a game cost a lot. The things they fucked up on this first can be improved on the next one. Also didnt rabbit and bear studios said “spiritual succesor” so suikoden? And they delivered, eiyuden is literally a suikoden game. We should only get mad on whoever wrote the story, didnt make it good enough.
@@Jpcraque That's right, and what Game Clouds sounds a lot like what Jaz Rignall said about River City Ransom for the NES when he reviewed it in GamesMaster.
I don't really care. Id pay $100.00 for each remaster easy and wait untill its done. However long that takes. I just hope they get ambitious enough to literally redraw all the characters into matching sprites for the hd remaster. You seriously can't leave them the same... and smoothing sucks. Every HD remaster has fallen short because the sprites do not match the new backgrounds. My 2 cents.
i like to think they are also respecting Yoshitaka Murayama passing by letting Eiyuden having its time to shine well thats what i hope :)
That or the Eiyuden guys might be forcing them not to release
@@mshake7056. That one is more likely.

There was an announcement of April 24th this year but that also looks to have fell through update much appreciated though ty
