I will never turn down a Grateful Dead show.
Literally or figuratively
I’m with ya there. 🎸🍻
@@lukefish9443 coincidentally just yesterday a family member called to say they found a huge box of Grateful Dead tapes in a storage space. I can only imagine what kind of bootlegs are waiting hidden away
A wise decision.
can you believe we used to use pencils to rewind these tapes and they sounded like hell. now they sound like this on the star trek gadget. what a long strange trip its been
Or! How lucky we are compared to fans of EVERY SINGLE band that ever existed,we have the TAPERS!🌹🌹🌹
Tasty show, crispy recording, makin this old hippy smile
1981 is gold.
I'm sure this is the first time I've ever commented on an LLR before, but listen for the audience patch during the quiet part. Puts you right there. Beautiful stuff. 37:47
my audience tape...
You know it!!!
Seriously beautiful moment. Got the chicken skins. Thanks for pointing that out. Cheers!
Hey Now, First I wanted to not just thank you for the music but for the visuals as well!!! I use to have a screen saver on my computer back in the 90's that was the "psychedelic screen saver". The thing that was really cool about it was that it had controls which allowed you to manipulate it in many different ways! When I would copy CD's I would do a screen grab from it & use it for the cover. The computer was an IBM 486. Hell, I paid 10x for the CD burner for what I paid for the system itself. But that was true for all the upgrades I did with it as well. It's hilarious now to think back on how slow computers were back then. When I put that same screen saver on a newer system it was too fast & when I tried to do a screen grab it wouldn't get the screen saver image, it would get the desktop image instead.... sorry... much more info than I originally was going to share! 🎶🎵🎶No piece in the barnyard, 🎶🎶 Since my little red rooster been gone🎶🎵🎶..... Thanks again!!!!
Yeah these are very cool.A whole new experience..
Top Shelf....sweet..🏆⚡⚡✨
Love the early Strangers! Brent! 🎤🎹🔥 Anything with Miller and Eaton in the credits is Board Heaven! Thank you WOS! Got some Shock Top and Duct Tape for this miracle! ☝💀🌷💨💨💨🍺🍺🍺😇🌈
Shock Top I know. Duct tape also beer?
@@WallofSound65 Mother Nature . Mary Jane . !!!! Etc ....🎶🎩🎶❤❤🍀✨🎶🍄✌🎶😇
Wow, the China Rider here is about as instrumentally crisp as any you will ever hear. The rest of the show will just be gravy after this!!
My second show ..what a great time. The walls were literally bouncing during the drum solo.. and I did the dots that night.. hey now.. :-D
I only wait for these with bated breath, but wouldn't want to seem exuberant! Stranger start to the evening!! Thanks WoS!!
BOBBY SING IT!!!!!! THANKS W.O.S.👏👌
W O S!!! So cool put it on my big TV!!! Woooooooo!! So Bitchin to watch!!! Hypnotizing!!! 💨☮️❤️😘
Makes me wish I could have made a higher rez version. It was a 13 GB file as it was!
@@WallofSound65 It’s Great!!!! Loving it!! Folding laundry...dancing around!!! Looking at the screen in between!!! 💨💨💨💨 very enjoyable even still. Peace ☮️❤️❤️

Is the visualizer Milkdrop? I haven’t found anything better for my taste. Still tops in my book, as are these top-sound gifts WoS continues to shower us with! Thanks WoS! Forever Grateful-Forever Dead (~);}
@@stuartzoo Milkdrop v2. Best I've seen as well though the last update was circa 2016. Anxiously awaiting an upgrade...

Truly mind blowing... a video worthy of the music... kudos to WoS...
Cleveland rocks. Thanks this is gold
Best big railroad ever!😅
Been listening to this Big RR (46:09) for a week on non-stop. After an exhaustive search, I thought that Garcia's solo was the metric by which to judge, and landed on 12/14/71 as my favorite. This is the first one I've heard where the music sounds like an actual train. How they do that...
Sounds good!
Great show, love the visual video as well. You've done one once before I believe and I dug it. Forgot to leave a message, it's like a personal light show, love it. Not to say the art work and pictures on other shows is bad. Those are too also unique and special to each show. Either way you cut it can't loose, always a beautiful gift, THANKS

Man! Love the visuals!! Every GD show that is on UA-cam that has a still pic needs to be redone like this!!! Good work WOS, thanks!!!! Killer show! I love the jingle jangle of Brents keys in the early 80’s!!😎🎆🔥🤗🎹⚡️
That Deal is Epic- thank you for sharing
Thanks for all the music WoS!
Beautiful Stranger. The killer graphics add to the dance party.
You ppl R Killin me, too some degree!!! I like to listen to shows, I hardly ever watch... But i couldn't do anything to stop myself watching "your" show. Da graphics were awesome, ~n blew my mind again!!! Even though I wasn't sure about being there the 1st time!!!

The solo during Peggy-O is top tier Jerry Garcia 🔥🔥 just so silky smooth, he takes it to a new level on that one 🤯🤯

Sounds like they are literally playing 3 feet in front of me ! 😃👏👏👏Thank you for this 💎, will listen to it and play guitar along with it many times 🥰🎯🎯🎯🎸🎸🎸🎸

Thank you!!! This is absolutely delicious!!
Loved this tour....great show!
Sweet sound quality as always !!
Nice....wonderful...show....thanks wall of sound....nice quality....L.L.Rain.....tight
Grate visuals. Man this thing is hot. These spring 81 shows though
Just Lovely.
Welcome back WOS. I was starting to be concerned about your absence.
We live in a time of noise and fire , anger and fear, wind and high water,. Yet ,there is the song that helps us forget, and remember. Something we can hold and which can hold us. More important that even the scientist, the wizard, or the priest is the one who brings the song. Thanks for that. Cheers.
Excellent!!!👍✌😎
Love the China/Ryder medley....one of the best I've been blessed to hear.
Super crisp capture of Brent and Jerry, and nice drum balance, but sadly a quiet Bobby and Phil. First set at least. How about that solo in Birdsong! Can only wish for a version with a more balanced mix for that bit, especially in the Phil zone. Regardless, Jerry rippin' it up in Big Railroad Blues. Epic.
Sweet.
Good lord what a smokin show. 🔥🔥🔥
I was there!
The China Rider is definitely one for the books. All over the map, that one.
1:10:44 - 1:18:44 is on another level whew!
I describe this show as straight to the point with no fuckin around straight to the your core. You know the good shit.
🎖️ G O L D 🎖️
Jerry 👌
More 81 please
10-4. Check back Saturday. Got a smoker for you 😀😀😀
Grugahalle
The strangers in 81 though
Great light show and sound . Sorry, sphere this has you beat in every way
Looks like rain..
I like the WinAmp graphics.
Big RR Blues is 🔥
3 thumbs down. Know what I don't like about this show? I wasn't there
81
Bird Song has a 70s feel
Of note, this show may be from 1980 where I believe President Carter spoke that year not 1981 and I believe it was not March but later in the year. In March of 1981 the dead played two shows at a small theater in Cleveland.
The band played Public Hall in Cleveland in Aug. 1980. This show is indeed night 2 of the 2 night run at Music Hall in 81. . They also played Dayton's Hara Arena on November 30 81.
@@carlhassell9085 Dig it - I was at the 1980 show where I remember Sail/St of Circumstance. I only saw the 1st show in March - this second show has much more up tempo energy. Thanks fir sharing and noggin my memory! Peace Out, Luke
PS Why I thought for sure this was the 1980 show in addition to Sailor/Circumstance the Dead closed with a Casey Jones that left the crowd on their feet asking for more. Weir at this show was wild with stepping into his mic like he was going to lasso it! But did not know the encored with Casey again on Cleveland on March 3 - did not check Dead Base yet - best bro!
My Uncle started winning, Cowboys got sore*** Indeed
Sweet! Man, it's too bad Jerry flubbed the lyrics to China Cat...that would've probably been the greatest version ever. I guess he had to make up for it on 3/9/ 1981! I've had that China Cat/Rider on non stop since you posted this!
Jerry didn't Make Mistakes (Only Happy Accidents)
FAROUT !!!
Did You Do This With A Samsung NUON Enhanced DVD Player DVD-N501 VLM ?
Winamp with Milkdrop v2
Oh great Gods of the legendary W.o.S. Would you share the show from the University of Marylad that same year, at the Cole Field House. Spmething of this quality. It was a sweet show, however audience recordings had to deal with the less than perfect acoustics there. I all we want for Christmas is good old Grateful Dead. Like so many shows from back then Absolutely no herb but Uncle Sid was everywhere. Peace. ❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠❄🍄🌹💮💠🌹💮💠❄🍄
Sorry I also only see AUD versions of that show
@@WallofSound65 Thats OK. Its stll Dead. Like pizza, any Dead is better than no Dead. Whatever you think best. I think it was an end of the tour show. Please share with us, if it be worthy oh great Anubis. If so I'll send you my recipe for magical mystery Christmas Holiday brownies. Guaranteed to raise a smile.

ok!
Jerry!!!!
Is that Bobby in the video?
