Notes:
1) One momentary cut in the AUD during Drums into Space. One brief cut in the SBD during Space.
2) Fades were used to create a "seamless" AUD track.
3) There are several atomic Phil bombs during Terrapin and Other One.
4) Jerry Garcia on "matrix" recording in 1981 regarding the Dead Set and Reckoning albums:
"It's a remarkable process that gives [the recording] a three-dimensionality that is uncanny - it really does...It's actually superimposed, the best of both worlds: the close mic sound of being right on stage, you know, and the thing of being in the room and the way the room, what the room does - those things superimposed on each other, you know, in various relationships. It's pretty much like being there."

That Stranger is epic. I wish they would have followed with Duprees to keep energy up instead of slow down with Friend. Hell of a show. One of my favorites.

FOTD has a slightly different feel and texture for every era of the band. They're all unique and fabulous. I don't know any other band that thinks that way.
Wow... man, that Good Lovin' is my favorite I think I have ever heard so far. Love Bobby's rapping, Jerry hitting the backing high notes, right in sync. Perfectly performed. Great show, not to be skipped.

Yeah, some of Jerry’s great singing is as a back up vocalist . This show is a great example of that. And Brent, of course.
Don’t Ease is such a good set closer… ya just know the second set is gonna be hot.
Haven’t listened all the way through, but this one is already saved to my playlists, cuz i Know I’m coming back for more of this one!

Love how by this point the entire 'element of surprise' for the opener was so far out the door and the boys didn't care at all how clearly they were hinting what was in the leadoff spot for that particular show... in fact maybe it's the fact that they're clearly teasing the Stranger opener that has the fans even more juiced to hear them get right into it. Right away.... Phil is dropping nukes and ya gotta love that too

Absolutely man, this is why I don't understand people who only listen to 60's-70's Dead! Stranger, West LA, Esau, Althea, etc etc - so many all-time great Dead songs you miss without the 80's-90's.

This is playing too fucking fast for example me and my uncle ..and big river i cant upload and i dont have my old dead tapes any more but why waste the time doing .I appreciate the effort but get it right im going on to your next one because i heard one before this and i had no complaints. I also like how you can pick the song. Lets check out another... one ..

Hey Mark! After reading this I checked out a couple other tapes from this show and they all sound like the same tempo/pitch to me, do you have a specific tape in mind that is pitched lower than this one? Since a Matrix is a blend of multiple sources I find they usually end up pretty close to "true" - if one is pitched too fast or slow it will need to be corrected for the sources to match up. You could be right though.
