- Great, interesting show in an odd ball outdoor park in Seattle. One of the first Casey Jones, which makes this show worth a listen alone. Show was supposed to be on the 20th, postponed because of rain and played on the 21st instead. However, the band did play at a sailor/logger dive bar called The Roach in Ballard on the night of the 20th.

FABULOUSSSSS! You kidding? This is an epic show played just a few miles from here. Casey J to M. Dew, Sunflower, Boss Man, Dark St. and Cosmic C. Great set list, great playing, great aqua theatre. Epic! (Billion thanks to the Dead, the tapers, the keepers, the sharing it with us all these decades later. I was 2 at the time, couldn't get a ride to the show. #$%@^&!!! RIP Ron, Jerry, Keith, Brent, hopefully I'll see ya on the other side.
Nice recording of a sweet '69 show at an interesting venue. First Easy Wind? Great energy and Pigpen!
Phil with his everpresent effervescent phullness drummers killing it
i'm digging the big boss man they got here!!!
Great show thanks 🌞🌞🌞👍!!!!!!!
Morning Dew just blew my socks off..but I guess it doesn't matter anyway ✌😉
very rare very nice sweet groove
Easy wind pig pen glory days of the grateful dynasty
That would be fantastic, I did some reading on this, but have yet to see one photo of this actual show. Only thing I saw was a jazz band playing there in the 50s. Crazy crazy venue, I have walked by there a billion times, never would have known it was set up like that. The water part of it is gone but some of the grandstand is stil up for UDUB crew.
...but you never never never never never hear a word it say
John D Crackin them rocks from dawn till noon while my rider hide the bottle in the other room.

Thanks for posting this,I'd never heard this show before,so it's historically valuable, however the performance is one of the least notable of the classic 68_72 era.And that damned flute player managed to ruin every song he played on.Glad I had a chance to hear this though.
what?! you dont like jazz flute?
So this was a week after woodstock. I'm not sure the dates right on this show. It says they played in NY that day, who knows that year gets screwy for tapes.
Date is correct. Deadbase dude.

Seattle could do a lot worse than to bring back this venue for performances.
Is that a horse or an elephant playing the flute?
10 minute walk from my house to Aqua theater
do you have a 67 gtx?
anybody got a tape of the roach on the 20th?
Merlin Mililli i wish. Very elusive show. Anything I have heard of was tapes of Joplin playing there. But I have never seen those either.
El Roach...doubt anyone taped it, and if so doubtful it would survive this long😞 maybe in a seat cushion somewhere
nice little find...is that a flute on CJ or TC?
Gary Larkey plays flute. He was a member of the opening band Sanpaku.
ouch its OK they are all very energetic China cat flute hope its not Marvin
Less Cowbell...More flautas.
ah it's legal now, you just strike it against the pavement
Who's on the Flute?
The dude playing flute is either Charles Lloyd or Gary Larkey
Guy from opening band Sanpaku on flute
hawt hawt hawt
omg that flutist must have , o why say anything bad, you gotta know when to lay out ( not play)
Needs more flute.
that flute is horrible.
really is (hate to say it)
nice Big Boss 👨
