I like your 90° block. Simplest solution ever. I like the design, the visible dowels, and your assembly. I am a sucker for rounding at least some of the edges with a router, but that's a personal preference. Great job!
i have a dirty workshop and i make furniture for a living.I beleive that when i go to heaven my work will be done done simple ,and clean as shown in your video.Your design is very beautifull too.
Thank you, so nice to hear! I try to keep a clean aesthetic though in real life my workshop is also usually very messy. But I can choose what I show on camera, so it helps. :)
I congratulate you for your work, the prolixity of your performance, the beautiful design, the fineness of the finishes, the exceptional beauty of something so simple that with your knowledge you turn it into something wonderful, but something that amazed me, was the beauty of your hands, remarkable, indescribable, the carpenters have their hands damaged and ugly, but you, the most beautiful hands I have ever seen, are the hands of an artist, I congratulate you for your great work and continue to take care of those beautiful hands, you do not see all the days. Best regards.
Like you said with the finish, I find as soon as you apply anything to oak that makes it yellow or darker it instantly dates the piece. Its surprising how good it looks when you keep the natural finish. Great job.
Very nice design. A design that works is never simple it is a series of difficult decisions you seem to be making all the right choices. Keep up your good work
YOU INDEED ARE A MINIMALIST MAKER. iT JUST SHOWS THAT SKILL BEATS OUT FANCY MACHINERY. i FIRST SUBSCRIBED WHEN i SAW YOU 1/2 ROUND BENCH??? yOU MAKE A VERY PLEASANT VIDEO TO WATCH, AND VERY NICE PROJECTS. fROM ONE GAL TO ANOTHER, i'M GLAD YOU ARE SHOWING THAT WOMEN CAN BE GOOD WOOWORKERS.
What an elegant looking chair. Your design seems simple, but I'm sure as a newbie woodworker I missed some details lol. However, your manicure is perfect and I am dumbfounded as to how you can maintain your nails in those conditions. Bravo!
Very nice lines. Chairs are a great way to learn how to design visually and structurally. Try this sometime, a chair that is collapsible and requires no tools for assembly. Sit in it, get settled in a normal sitting position and then lift up your feet.
This is really sublime. It really is the ultimate in a practical build with exquisite design. Can't wait to buy the plans if, for nothing else, to support how good this is.
Just bought your plans! Really have enjoyed watching this build and I'm excited to try it out. I'm using this as a practice chair to learn with before designing my own. My wife and I really like the minimal style and want to shoot for a mid-century modern chair build sometime to go with other builds I've done. Your design is really nice and seems straightforward!
So I understand that you’re attaching the seat with the clips to allow for expansion and contraction. I’ve seen other people doing the same. Is there a non-metallic fastener way to achieve the same? I sometimes like to challenge myself into doing all wood to wood connections. Otherwise great build, and thank you for sharing.
Awesome job! Proof that skill is more important than fancy machinery.
Precision and symmetrical that's what makes simple project a piece of art, and there are definitely on your dictionary.
Thank you so much!

Such a wealth of little tips and tricks to make life easier, your videos are a joy to watch and the designs are always very strong.
Thank you so much! :)
The light colored dowels are spectacular. Great design with limited tools too.
Thank you! :)

I'm a big fan of paper templates, and cutting up to a line. It's very easy to remove wood... but not so easy to put it back! Great channel!
So true! :) Thanks!
Great to see it finished! It came out great!
Thank you Caleb! :)

Perfect video for me. So much information, everything you need to know but so concise, not a wasted word. Thank you!
I like your jig-free but accurate approach to using dowels and I'm always pleased to see a bandsaw blade guard set correctly. :-)
Thanks! The dowels worked great! :)
I agree with the band saw blade guard, but it makes it harder to see what's going on as a viewer...
Like how you use sacrificial piece behind the actual piece on the mitre saw. Never seen that done before. Nice job!
Yeah it really helps to prevent tear out! Keeps the cut edge nice and clean. :)
Lovely creation Minni. Your crisp narration, flowed smoothly with the build progress. Thanks for sharing.
So nice to hear, thank you! :)

Thanks! I loved the way the raw wood looked and really wanted to find something that wouldn't change it much. So glad I did! :)
That's an excellent design, and a beautifully made chair using tools that I actually have access to!
Thank you! That's what I was going for! :)
I really like the simple design, it’s very elegant.
Thank you!
Nice job! Love the simple clean lines.
Thank you! :)
Very nice design. A design that works is never simple it is a series of difficult decisions you seem to be making all the right choices. Keep up your good work
Clean, simple yet sophisticated! Awesome stuff!
Thank you!
Very nice, the lighter dowels accent the oak well too! Great work.
Thanks! I also like the contrast with the dowels, but wasn't sure how these two woods would look like together finished. Worked well though! :)
you are amazing love your style of working with solid wood
Beautiful chair! I like the way you made this easily attainable to beginner makers.
Thank you! Great that you feel that way! Chairs can be intimidating! :D
A chair true to the name of the maker :-) Good job!!

Top cool chair design and clearly and beautifully presented..
Thank you!
That came out great! Love all those clamping tips when you were making the holes for the dowels.
Thank you Tamar! :)
What an elegant looking chair. Your design seems simple, but I'm sure as a newbie woodworker I missed some details lol. However, your manicure is perfect and I am dumbfounded as to how you can maintain your nails in those conditions. Bravo!
It’s easy when you have all the proffetional tools and you don’t have to do anything yourself
love it!

Thanks! I agree, and that's the reason they are also the most difficult to design. A huge challenge for sure. :)
Here us a good reference book, Human Dimension & Interior Space
Keep those videos coming!

Realy cool and beautifoul. Thanks for share.
Excelent design and ejecution!
Thanks!
Excellent choice with oak, it looks like everyone is working with black chestnut or cherry but oak is great too. Subbed, loved your channel
Thank you! Oak is now very popular in Europe, but it's still not a big hit in the US. I think it's a beautiful wood when left light and raw. :)
Wow it’s beautiful, I love the fact that the dowels are whiter than the oak. Congrats Minni !
Thank you so much! It's one of my favorite parts as well! :)
