I like the fact that you brought up the ecosystems in the video, as that was my overall deciding factor for my phone. The Galaxy Gear Watch 3 as well as the Buds Pro work perfectly with my S21 Ultra. Having the ability to use the devices as they're intended, as well as being able to customize and use all of the functions on the devices make a huge difference.
For someone who owns both, I find the buds 2 a direct upgrade in every way to the AirPods Pro. Better sound quality and tuning, better anc, better battery, smaller size, more customisation. It’s honestly not even close for me, I’ve sold my AirPods since

Hey Mike, apparently if you press on both buds while they're see docked in the case, it'll activate pairing mode thus offsetting the need for a physical button.
@@poteresurreale5781 obviously not, they have a button on the back for pairing mode, which is way easier than what Samsung does. Also if your phone is nearby AirPods Pro, they automatically connect or ask you if the AirPods are yours.

I just got some buds 2 as part of a bundle with new flip 3. Seamless connection to the phone but adding them to my existing Samsung S6 lite tablet took a while. Great buds though.

The ambient mode here has three levels. The low level is very subtle while the high level has some obvious white noise. Does that answer your question?

Very good review. Was watching this with my new galaxy buds 2 and although It can get a lil bit uncomfortable after some use, they basically stay in your ear while running so I don't have to worry about them falling off

So i just switched from iPhone 12 pro to s22ultra and therefore i switched to galaxy buds 2 from airpods pro and idk what people talking about with the noise cancelation. You may have mentioned this and I missed it. But the buds 2 also can be forced into pairing mode. Both Buds in the case and put your finger on each bud, tap and hold. That puts it into pairing mode
Your microphone comparison was great both indoors and outdoors I'm not an apple fan but I have to give it to apple for great audio pickup. Mic 🎤 on apple was better than Samsung for sure. I Hope everyone would agreed 👍💯

When I saw you plucking your own ear, in order to slightly move the earbuds, I tried it and it worked! Up until that moment, I wasn't getting it to work. Thank you so much! Now, the resources of my Galaxy Buds2 are complete! Their sound quality is just amazing to me, specially with EQ on Dynamic.
Yeah when they first introduced that feature with the GB+, I struggled for a while. Flicking your ear really is the easiest way to trigger it! I am really happy that tip helped you
I have an android phone, an old mac air, and a new iPad so it’s always difficult to choose because there’s always one or two devices that don’t work with the earbuds lol
I own galaxy buds 2 and airpods gen 3, and i use both for iphone 13 mini. The airpods excel more on calls anc, but buds2 is better for sounds and movies. Im a bass head and have sampled many earbuds including some jbls and sony. The buds 2 beats them. For everything else , its the airpods. Obviously the apps will be limited if one goes cross-platform... I like the buds 2 better even on iphone. great review Mike btw

I was considering selling my buds 2 to purchase the airpods 2 (not pro, just the 2) and having to dish out an extra 50 bucks too, so glad I watched your video before, knowing these are comparable to the pro airpods, I think I´ll stick to them a little longer, tho it sucks that you cannot use the galaxy app on iOS
yeah tbh there's a trend where people considered you “rich and boujee” if you have airpods. little did they know that the software they were discriminating had so much better to offer. i'm glad people are seeing that now
Yehh, I don't like the buds at all, regarding looks. They look like hearing aids, and beans. The airpods atleast have a stem, and airpods don't protrude out as much as the buds.. but I'm guessing the sound would be better on the buds, and I'm not a ios user, I'm a samsung user. You can't always have a company that does everything well, or tailored to your preference

Windows has an app for the buds so if you’ve got a PC you can change some of the settings, just not from your phone. And it doesn’t have the “labs” section.
I hate the design of the air pods pro and I'm not an Apple fanboy, but still most Android buds can't match the microphone quality and this remains true here. The air pods are crisp and clear while the buds 2 have a muffled sound to them. I see no reason to switch from my buds+ now. Thanks for the good review and comparison!

Most of my devices are Apple products. But the Galaxy Buds 2 look like candy in your ears which I find really compelling, especially the purple ones. That’s why I’m going to side with Samsung on this one

My air pods pro sound horrible to people when I'm on the phone. They can hear everything in the background. I have an S21 Ultra, is there a way to fix that?
@Annabelle Norwood had around 5-6 pairs of Galaxy buds+, every single one of them, one of the Buds lost 50-75% of volume. I babied them, never dropped them, kept them away from water etc and they all happened within a MONTH after replacement under warranty. Best buy couldn't figure it out, my buddies couldn't either. My friend was literally right next to me when my last pair did the same thing and he was stunned. When using the find my buds feature, one would chirp loud and normal and the other would be damn near silent. So I finally said fuck it and went and got Air Pods pros, treated them the same way and never had a problem with them like that. The only issue I have with them is that sometimes the audio would cut out. Loved the Buds+ way more, more insulated, sounded better, battery life was incredible, but they never lasted and I have no idea why. I bought the Galaxy buds 2 hopefully they last for me.
AKG uses harman curve , the frequency response everyone find the most pleasing to their ear.(Look up harman curve). It's researched over several decades and even audiophiles consider harman curve tuning to be S grade tonality. Since samsung bought AKG, all of their buds are tuned to harman curve, just look up how buds 2 plot against harman curve. Also check how many 1000+ or even 10000+ headphone gear uses harman curve. This alone should tell you that there's no comparison between airpods pro to the buds 2 etc. Add to that the robust set of features alongside a better pricing.
I feel like the Airpods Pro vs the Galaxy Buds Pro would've been more comparable. The Galaxy Buds 2 seem like they're geared towards a budget friendly market for people who want a name brand still with allot of features.
I haven't watched this video yet but I felt the need to comment here because of the comparison. I'll watch the video later. I've owned the Galaxy buds pro 2 for 6 months maybe. My wife has an iPhone and wanted the AirPods. She opted for the more affordable AirPods second generation. Personally they stay in my ears much better sound amazing if I could trade I would. I have the Galaxy Z-Fold 4. I think fit is most important. The buds pro 2 won't stay in my ears. Not matter what ear attachment size you use. I tried them all. They just fall out with limited use or movement.
Well the normal airpods came out two years ago, so the Galaxy Buds 2 would be way more up to date. It's like comparing a Galaxy S21 to the iPhone X (if they were sold at the same price).

I have both. I use both, depending on genre I found one is better than other. However I listen most Rock/Metal so I found Airpods Pro is way better because of details and being more realistic. While Galaxy’s bass boost cover up the details of the music. But Galaxy Buds is much better when music is more upbeat like any twice song. At least IMO.
Mike I just got my pair of galaxy buds 2, but the anc dosent work on voices, but it does on loud noises like a lawn mower, did I get a faulty pair or is yours like that aswell
I tried to do video to test the microphone of my buds 2. So I recorded myself using my phone, I was like 5 meters away from phone and started speaking with my buds on. But when I check the video the audio is so slow. Does it something to do with my distance with my phone? Means if I want to speak I still need to have my phone with me near my mouth?

I have both of these I think the audio quality is better on the buds 2 if you have an iPhone you can still set the settings the way you want on a sumsung or android device then connect to your iPhone works fine . But the connectivity on the air pods is top notch , transparency mode on both is good , and we all know for calling apple products rule which is why I exchanged my jabra pros for the apple . And the connectivity on the jabra 7 elite pros is awful will just randomly disconnect the left side after some time
@@nao8320 set up the settings the way you like them on the android app then you can use on your iPhone, I do it all the time i don't really use anc more of a transparency guy but I'm sure that part doesn't matter the only thing that might bother you is you won't have an app so you will have to use the touch controls

The button situation is similar on buds where once you wear them you have hold both Buds for 7 seconds for manual pairing.
Just bought the Galaxy Buds 2 and they sound fantastic (with a little tweaks and equalizer it can match the Buds Pro model)

Had the same problem.What I did was disconnected it from the phone,then paired it with my tab.After that,it works quite well with auto switch.

I think you can activate or access the 4th option when you go to the wearable app and then in the labs section

I use the galaxy buds + with my iPhone 11. I like the extended battery power on my galaxy + buds vs the Apple.

Thanks Mike for the comparison. Just bought Samsung Buds 2. Your review is extremely accurate! They are great, value for money, earbuds for listening to anything. The microphone is not great though. My oppo buds have a much much better mic. Seems nobody beats apple on mics.

in samsung you can push bot buds while in case and they're pairing. it's a very good solution and don't need a button btw and connects instantly

Great review, really interesting to see the pro's and cons of both, but for a comparison of the galaxy buds and the airpods' best, using the galaxy buds pro would probably be more accurate.
I was considering selling my buds 2 to purchase the airpods 2 (not pro, just the 2) and having to dish out an extra 50 bucks too, so glad I watched your video before, knowing these are comparable to the pro airpods, I think I´ll stick to them a little longer, tho it sucks that you cannot use the galaxy app on iOS
Buds look way better and from hearing both, I prefer the sound of them also. Airpods are overrated in my opinion.

Yehh, I don't like the buds at all, regarding looks. They look like hearing aids, and beans. The airpods atleast have a stem, and airpods don't protrude out as much as the buds.. but I'm guessing the sound would be better on the buds, and I'm not a ios user, I'm a samsung user. You can't always have a company that does everything well, or tailored to your preference

I like the feature of turn on/off touch controls from widget for Buds2. Using while sleeping, it's a necessary one.

Windows has an app for the buds so if you’ve got a PC you can change some of the settings, just not from your phone. And it doesn’t have the “labs” section.
Honestly I m too not a fan with the airpod stem anyway I still bought it and I feel it is a great earbuds overall
I hate the design of the air pods pro and I'm not an Apple fanboy, but still most Android buds can't match the microphone quality and this remains true here. The air pods are crisp and clear while the buds 2 have a muffled sound to them. I see no reason to switch from my buds+ now. Thanks for the good review and comparison!

Most of my devices are Apple products. But the Galaxy Buds 2 look like candy in your ears which I find really compelling, especially the purple ones. That’s why I’m going to side with Samsung on this one

@Annabelle Norwood had around 5-6 pairs of Galaxy buds+, every single one of them, one of the Buds lost 50-75% of volume. I babied them, never dropped them, kept them away from water etc and they all happened within a MONTH after replacement under warranty. Best buy couldn't figure it out, my buddies couldn't either. My friend was literally right next to me when my last pair did the same thing and he was stunned. When using the find my buds feature, one would chirp loud and normal and the other would be damn near silent. So I finally said fuck it and went and got Air Pods pros, treated them the same way and never had a problem with them like that. The only issue I have with them is that sometimes the audio would cut out. Loved the Buds+ way more, more insulated, sounded better, battery life was incredible, but they never lasted and I have no idea why. I bought the Galaxy buds 2 hopefully they last for me.

Yes, you should. I did the same and buds 2 are very good than buds plus in all categories except in battery life.

AKG uses harman curve , the frequency response everyone find the most pleasing to their ear.(Look up harman curve). It's researched over several decades and even audiophiles consider harman curve tuning to be S grade tonality. Since samsung bought AKG, all of their buds are tuned to harman curve, just look up how buds 2 plot against harman curve. Also check how many 1000+ or even 10000+ headphone gear uses harman curve. This alone should tell you that there's no comparison between airpods pro to the buds 2 etc. Add to that the robust set of features alongside a better pricing.
I feel like the Airpods Pro vs the Galaxy Buds Pro would've been more comparable. The Galaxy Buds 2 seem like they're geared towards a budget friendly market for people who want a name brand still with allot of features.

I haven't watched this video yet but I felt the need to comment here because of the comparison. I'll watch the video later. I've owned the Galaxy buds pro 2 for 6 months maybe. My wife has an iPhone and wanted the AirPods. She opted for the more affordable AirPods second generation. Personally they stay in my ears much better sound amazing if I could trade I would. I have the Galaxy Z-Fold 4. I think fit is most important. The buds pro 2 won't stay in my ears. Not matter what ear attachment size you use. I tried them all. They just fall out with limited use or movement.
Have had both fair review my airpods pro case just stopped charging after 6 months before that no complaints on either

The buds 2 would be much better in my opinion. Because of the fit (in ear design but comes down to personal preferance), USB C, sound quality and ANC.
Well the normal airpods came out two years ago, so the Galaxy Buds 2 would be way more up to date. It's like comparing a Galaxy S21 to the iPhone X (if they were sold at the same price).

I have both. I use both, depending on genre I found one is better than other. However I listen most Rock/Metal so I found Airpods Pro is way better because of details and being more realistic. While Galaxy’s bass boost cover up the details of the music.
But Galaxy Buds is much better when music is more upbeat like any twice song.
At least IMO.

Mike I just got my pair of galaxy buds 2, but the anc dosent work on voices, but it does on loud noises like a lawn mower, did I get a faulty pair or is yours like that aswell
I tried to do video to test the microphone of my buds 2. So I recorded myself using my phone, I was like 5 meters away from phone and started speaking with my buds on. But when I check the video the audio is so slow. Does it something to do with my distance with my phone? Means if I want to speak I still need to have my phone with me near my mouth?

Bro apparently when you touch both the earbuds in Samsung they enter into pairing mode hence cutting down the need of a physical paring button.
I have both of these I think the audio quality is better on the buds 2 if you have an iPhone you can still set the settings the way you want on a sumsung or android device then connect to your iPhone works fine . But the connectivity on the air pods is top notch , transparency mode on both is good , and we all know for calling apple products rule which is why I exchanged my jabra pros for the apple . And the connectivity on the jabra 7 elite pros is awful will just randomly disconnect the left side after some time

@@nao8320 set up the settings the way you like them on the android app then you can use on your iPhone, I do it all the time i don't really use anc more of a transparency guy but I'm sure that part doesn't matter the only thing that might bother you is you won't have an app so you will have to use the touch controls
