I actually prefer silicone tips. Whatever the tips were that Apple used on the previous generation of Beats and PowerBeats Pro gave me an allergic reaction, and I ended up having to get some silicone tips from the dollar store that solved the problem and had no discernable affect on audio quality.
As both an Android and an Apple user, I like the better integration across the board....never a bad thing. I am using Googles own Pixel Buds Pro atm, and like them, quite a lot actually. Great battery life without needing to be recharged in their case (real life 10 hours in my use) and they look and feel great in my ears. The noise cancelling is also pretty darn good. They drop to around $150 on sale pretty often so the price is stomach able as well. If these are really that good, I might try them out, but I'll wait for some real world (read not promoted) reviews before I try 'em.
Do the Pixel Buds Pro have any special features with Pixel phones? I have an old Pixel 2 XL that I use as my "iPod" and for reading books and stuff, I'm curious if they have any ecosystem level integration like AirPods do?
@@Entertainment- Spoken by a person who has never heard them, I guaranty that. They sound really good actually. Are they audiophile quality? Probably not. But to say they sound "horrendous" is just plain wrong. I've got some pretty high end equipment at my home work/play station, including Shiit's latest lineup, everything from higher end Sennheiser's to a few better sets of planer cans, I know good sound. Wireless just isn't ever going to get to that level and I've stopped trying to find a set that can. I just get good quality ones like the Pro's and EQ the crap out of them till I'm happy. It's really all you can do for now at least.
I personally have a set of Beats Fit Pro, and they are honestly amazing. They are very comfortable and fit very well - I literally went on a rollercoaster with them and they stayed on! On top of this, (my version at least) is able to perfectly interop into Apple's ecosystem. It has the same "Connect to (Earphones)" popup when you open the case, can share audio with other people's AirPods (the feature introduced in iOS 15 I think), and supports personalized spacial audio. They also automatically switch devices, between my MacBook, iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad. I have also noticed that the ANC, Transparency, and sound quality are significantly better than Airpods - my family members have Airpods Pro 2, and my Beats sound significantly better. Overall, these have been a great buy. The way I see it, these are higher quality, better sounding, more usable, Apple-Ecosystem enabled headphones.
Also, forgot to add, remember that whole "Apple AirPods Firmware Update makes ANC worse" fiasco? My Beats Fit Pro were not affected by those at all, and it only made my Beats Fit Pro perform even better compared to AirPods.
I tried the beats fit pros and they were the most uncomfortable thing I have ever worn. I loved the version with the loop around the ear, but the ear wing on the new versions were just terrible.
My ears needed some time to get used to the fit which was a bit uncomfortable after an hour of wearing, and this happened with the second pair I've got too and used when the first pair was dead (I had to wear them literally all day long for a period of time and 9 hours of battery life wasn't enough), but once the silicone tips softens and you can barely feel them in your ears after hours of wearing, there's no going back. I wouldn't switch back to the AirPods Pro if they gave them to me for free.
very cool they stayed on your ear during rollercoastering! I love listening to music while riding but haven't since transition from wired ear devices to Bluetooth ones.....🤔🤔I just decided to buy new airpods pro2 but now, hmmm.
I went from AirPods pro to Beats Studio + and the latter truly feels and fit better, doesn't wiggle around in my ears, and has more options size wise. My GF said she can hear me very well in comparison to the former. I enjoy how the latter cancels out outside noises as she and I chat over the phone. Plus it is cheaper than airpods. I strongly rec Beats Studio + over RayCons and AirPod's Pro.
3:30 I actually discovered this like a year ago with the old beats studio buds while working in a kitchen washing loud metal pans. It was actually quite nice
My Airpods Pro do the same thing with the loud noises, however, I thought it just "ducked" the audio level rather than totally disabled transparency. But that's just an assumption - would be good to actually test that.

It’s weird these don’t support automatic device switching - my old power Beats Pro has this feature . It’s driving me up the wall when the kids use my iPad and I am listening to podcasts
"Automatic noise cancellation" at 3:30 is also on AirPods Max. I am guessing that it isn't a "secret feature" but rather a side effect from audio compression - not like data size compression but dynamic range compression. Of course, they might have deliberately chosen longer release time on the compression to ease you into the environment, but mics cannot handle loud noises above certain threshold anyways, so there has to be some kind of limiter or compressor to avoid clipping. Some headphones might not care about that and just clip the audio. While that's not necessarily a bad thing, in general I think it would be better to limit the dynamic range a bit.
I am SO glad I found this comment! I've had the exact same experience on my AirPods Pro, which at the very least confirms that someone else has had the same experience haha.
the 20.000th LIKE is mine. and BEATS STUDIO BUDS + are also mine since maybe 2 weeks. they're totally up to date, sound fantastic, and fit absolutely fine. these BSB+ are my third headphones from BEATS by DR DRE ( apple ).
These look very interesting. My main issues that I had with the first generation ear buds was that they always fell out of my ear even though I had the largest sized caps that they offered. On top of that they would occasionally get the cap stuck in my ear when trying to remove it which would often give me a panic attack. These are very rare issues I imagine that the average person wouldn’t have but this is just the main few reasons why I dislike the silicone caps in general. On top of this I forgot to say that the first gen had a major tendency to reverberate in the case and in enclosed spaces which would damage the speakers. This led to my right earbud being much quieter than my left one only a few months after me getting them.
The opening of this? I can’t relate to since I get a good seal and the ANC works great for me…but these appear to be a great backup for my AirPods Pro 2’s…just realized he was speaking about the AirPods 3…my fault lol.
My problem is the silicone tips. I'm in a niche here but I've never found a silicone tip that will stay in my ears. I'm stuck with the Galaxy buds live or the sony ring things that use the back of your ear for mounting.
I would love if the studio buds adopted the earhooks of the fit pros and for the fit pros to adopt the case size of the studio buds. I love the studio buds case size but they slip out my ears because theres no stem or hooks to secure them on the other hand the fit pros have excellent fit but that case size man after daily driving airpod pros its hard to go to anything that is significantly bigger
I need something that doesn't actually go in the canal because my ear canals get irritated easily, and that's why AirPods and similar will always be my pick.
I have the original studio buds and the only thing I oculd complain about is the mic. If they ever crap out on me (which there is no signs of happening), I wouldn't hesitate to buy these. The clear case is sharp too.
The new Sony's don't allow that either. So the software decides if you will be so lucky as to have ANC on or not. I spent a ton of money (electronics are much more expensive in my country) on the XM5s due to all the "audio expert reviews" on youtube saying literally only positive things ("best in industry" etc.). These experts are clearly bad at their jobs as NONE of them mentioned it. At least it's mentioned here.
I like the third gen airpod design because they fit comfortably in my ear and I never worry about them falling out. Buds with a plastic nipple on the end never sit right for me and I'm constantly having to adjust them back in.
Videos 2 days in a row? Am I dreaming? I can't get enough of Mac Address. I'd like to see you try the H1 chip supported Beats and then rank all of them and all the different Airpods.
Beats Studio Buds + and AirPods Pro are both very good, the AirPods have better ANC, but Beats have the better design. Sound quality is great on both, but is punchier on the AirPods
Outside of the Pro's (which are totally worth the money!) Airpods are a fashion accessory and always have been. I wish you went more in depth on the noise cancellation. I'm strictly a podcast listener on the go but I walk about an hour a day on busy city streets and oftentimes have my Airpods in while at the office so I need good ANC and Transparency more than any other feature. I bought Nothing Ear (1)'s off a Short Circuit review because it has ANC, apparently, but I found it barely functional and quickly had to replace them.
it's got auto ANC which means the software will decide when you're allowed to have ANC and when not. It's one of the dumbest things ever and it has ruined my experience of the "top of the line" Sony XM5s. I have light aspergers and sit with headphones on without music to work. Now that's being ruined by the new trend.
I got both but sticking with the AirPods 2nd generation. Call Quality was the determining factor. The Beats buds+ just sounded to robotic for my callers. Still Beats clear case is stunning
So how do they compare to the Beats Fit Pro? Those are still positioned within the lineup as the higher end earbuds, but I don’t see the advantage aside from the little winglets
Is the new version’s spatial audio only available when musics can play in Dolby Atmos in Apple Music like the old one, or it do provide the spatial audio function like beats fit pro and airpods pro ?
Strongly debating reselling my Airpods 3 for these, as around the same price they also have ANC and a seal which those don't have. The 3 just aren't a great gym pair because of it. Am I missing anything I'd be losing?
AirPodsPro2 = In-ear detection, device switching, wireless & MagSafe charging, & water/sweat resistant case, beats studio pro+ do not have that. If nething the beats tie or slightly better than AirPods 2-3 gen, perhaps depends if u have apple or Android.
@@newagain9964 I have an iPhone, but the question for about the same cost is the Airpods 3 with no ANC or seal, not the Pro 2's which are more expensive. I guess I could jump the gun and move up, but these seem like they'd upgrade the sound and add ANC from the 3 staying flat on the trade.
@@tipoomaster I addressed the question tho. and because u didn't state if u had apple device(s), I addressed that too. tbh AirPods Pro gen1 are less$$ than AirPods gen3. I could easily argue that AirPods Pro1 is a slightly better value.
well, biggest plus of AirPods 3 IS their form factor! I own 65$ Sennheiser earbuds that sound better but it's just not that comfortable and the reason is that silicon tip in my ear. I mainly used AirPods for meetings and when I lost them I replaces them with classic EarPods :)
I own the gen 1 studio buds and their pretty good for the price. I’m actually do for an upgrade. Considering the AirPods Pro. But $250 is steep. Nice to know they have a update, cause I really like them.
I bought a pair of the sports beats for work, and their durability has blown me away. I've dropped them in their case off of roofs, in muddy crawlspaces, sucked the buds into a shop vac on accident, and they're still working just as good as the day i bought em.
Can we just give credit? At the 3:45 mark they’re using some great stereo audio here where the claps are in the left and right channels respective to the video.
Sorry man, you didn't test the microphone which was a massive oversight. We use the Airpods Pro 2 because of the call quality. Beats sound better for music, more bassy in particular, but the call quality makes you sound bad on phone calls/zoom etc.
So this makes me very curious. Especially things how you didn’t take a phone call with the beats earbuds to show the difference in call quality between the two. I have the AirPods three currently. I like them, but I feel that I’m missing out on functions from AirPods Pro, and was hoping that beats would kind of possibly cross that plane. I don’t like the tips that come with the pro series as well as I originally had the AirPods Pro and could not get them to stay in both of my ears. I had to downgrade to the AirPods three so that I had earbuds that would stay where I put them. Will there be a video on short circuit on the call quality of these? Will they be reviewed someplace else where I can see more about the beats line of earbuds so that I can get that her test results?
Just bought the clear model after watching 15 videos and owning Bose headphones, Jabra ear buds, Samsung buds pro, and Bose earbuds. They are amazing. 9.8/10. Everything about these earbuds are great. I personally think they out perform other ear buds that are worth more.
I'm a pixel user with the pixel a buds and have been really happy with both so far (my only apple product ever was an iphone 8 plus for about 3 months before I traded it back in for an android XD). I like what apple is doing with beats, but i think for me to spend more than 100$ on any wireless headphones, I'd want replaceable batteries, something I want the entire industry to move towards :/
4:20 (nice!) It’s weird they don’t have device switching, because my Beats Studio buds have it, between iPhone and Apple TV. Weirdly enough I was also able to seamlessly switch to my pinebook pro (I’m not using a MacBook for a little while). You should talk to Anthony. I’m on Manjaro KDE.
How are these compared to AirPods Pro 1st gen? Mainly use those with my pixel and sometimes iPad (like RN). Just wish had wireless charging but always have usb c cable anyways
I honestly hate how those feel in the ear, and will only use over ear headphones. I still have the same 20$ set from sony that I got 7 years ago, which still works because it is wired. Every wireless headset I have ever had has broken within a year.
Tried several new earbuds after my battery in power beats pro wore out after like 5 years.... ended up returning all of them and buying a new set of power beats pro on sale... I don't care for the noise cancellation on earbuds so far makes me feel sick... Also love having the large wing because if I want transparency just twist the forward until they are halfway out ear. They are great for every use. Lifting weights, running, biking, cutting grass, etc..
that dynamic noise cancelling pretty much sold me, I'll patiently wait for their arrival to mexico because I can't find a way to buy them atm, I have Hyperacusis and have to wear noise dampening earplugs pretty much on the daily, if these things can muffle sudden sounds from the street but still let me hear those would be a godsend
The battery on my beat fit pro case last literally weeks. I can always count on them being charged. My Airpod Pros??? The case is dead in 2 days tops. And having to remember to charge them is a pain
I don't have an Iphone and I still want the Airpods Pro because the ANC is just so good. mind you that's not what i use because they're so inconvenient (charging and battery status primarily) but since these fall short VS airpods, how do they compare to sony's XM buds or pixel's or Bose's? are they punching above their weight(price) or not?
How about listening to HI-Res sound that is 24bit? I think these are the same like the AirPods Pro 2... Why no talk about this? There is only 1 that support this: Nothing Ear 2
I literally have airpods because I cannot stand the rubber tips on other earbuds. I use a Pixel and haven't had an iPhone or iOS anything in a decade. It's about the non rubber tips. I love mine though. Sorry to offend as an Android user liking apple headphones I guess?
I like the wings on the beats fit pro, aside from the fact they aren’t replaceable when they tear. I’ve had mine since launch and both wings have been torn at this point. Easy fix with glue, but I wish it was a replaceable part.
I prefer the control surface of the AirPods Pro over the Beats, but I agree that they are very good and have a pair as backup for whenever my AirPods and the case run out of juice (I’m on the phone all day for work)
Strange to compare them to the open AirPods without the active noise cancellation. I get that they technically have the same MSRP but I think more people would be cross shopping with the AirPods Pro variance or beats flex. Still looks like a reasonably compelling product with an interesting aesthetic
I was very interested until you said they don’t jump from ome device to another. I like the Fit Pro when I’m working out, but I hate using them at any other time. The original Studio Buds feel stuck in my ears and become uncomfortable. Airpods 2nd and 3rd gen feel out of place in the current market of earbuds. I got my 2nd Gen Pros and I don’t think I’m changing unless I ever decide to commit to an Android.
My old Galaxy Buds are giving out now so I may consider these. For me it's all about being as low profile as possible and Airpods don't do it for me with the longs stems.

I wasn’t aware there’d ever been a pair of Beats anything, that sounded good.
I love that when we click on any LMG video about in-earphone, they come with a frequency response graph
Would love for they to put fr graph for samsung buds 2 pro for comparison
I need something that doesn't actually go in the canal because my ear canals get irritated easily, and that's why AirPods and similar will always be my pick.
I have the original studio buds and the only thing I oculd complain about is the mic. If they ever crap out on me (which there is no signs of happening), I wouldn't hesitate to buy these.
The clear case is sharp too.
I thought you were back on the 13 Mini?
The Bose earphones also have the loud environment noise cancellation, and we can actually togge the feature on and off.
They have the H1 chip
I'd be more interested if I could actually buy the clear version. Doesn't seem to be available, unless its only through some other specific retailer.
I want black or transparent air pods pro 3 with high res audio
Simple and to the point. Even with a sponsor read you kept it under six minutes, respect.
Same IEM’s aren’t comfortable to me but flat earbuds are so I hope they keep improving classic Airpods.
I own the gen 1 studio buds and their pretty good for the price. I’m actually do for an upgrade. Considering the AirPods Pro. But $250 is steep. Nice to know they have a update, cause I really like them.
Do the buds+ have wireless charging? That’s gonna decide if they are worth getting for me
I bought a pair of the sports beats for work, and their durability has blown me away.
Question. Without the h1 chip still works the share audio option available on iPhone and iPads for beats and AirPods on that headphones?
Personalized Spatial Audio was such a game changer for me. That’s enough for me to stay with AirPods….. I like the transparent aesthetic though
Beats are superior
Do they pause playback when taking out of the ear? The Previous beats generation does not support this feature
I wish the power beats would get an update with noise cancellation I would buy them in a heartbeat
I have a question... why there arent any high end wired earphones (just as small as wireless ones) but wired?
Or are there?
I’m watching this with AirPods and really enjoyed the spatial claps in each ear individually 3:30
3:51 does ANC actually provide hearing protection?
I LOVE that those have no stem/wing... that makes them MUCH more versatile and easier to wear with anything that over your ears
I have the 2020 Studio Buds, how does this have better integration with the apple ecosystem if it doesn't have automatic device switching?
How did you find the ANC compared to the AirPod Pros? (1 & 2).
My current pros are end of life, and I'm wondering what to replace them with.
Beats feels like the unknown older brother that does better in the shadow of the more famous AirPods.
Beats are definitely known...
@@TekkitzMania he must not remember back in 2012-2017 when beats were the main headphones everyone wanted before airpods
More like that uncle that used to be a bit shady, but went away for a minute and came back all business.
that dynamic noise cancelling pretty much sold me, I'll patiently wait for their arrival to mexico because I can't find a way to buy them atm, I have Hyperacusis and have to wear noise dampening earplugs pretty much on the daily, if these things can muffle sudden sounds from the street but still let me hear those would be a godsend
idk but there's just something about this channel, the vibe is very calming and peaceful. AND THEN THERE'S LTT WITH ALL THE CHAOS-
The battery on my beat fit pro case last literally weeks.
I know it's difficult to have timely reviews in Canada, so it's great to see this video out with the reviews from other outlets!
I like the wings on the beats fit pro, aside from the fact they aren’t replaceable when they tear. I’ve had mine since launch and both wings have been torn at this point. Easy fix with glue, but I wish it was a replaceable part.
wait… how did you get these early? early access from apple or best buy/early sales?
Great review, especially the clear/opaque pun, and the mention about the H1 chip.
I prefer the control surface of the AirPods Pro over the Beats, but I agree that they are very good and have a pair as backup for whenever my AirPods and the case run out of juice (I’m on the phone all day for work)
Beats are superior
Im guessing when the iphones switch over to usb c so will the air pods (probably this year)
So you upload a video on the mini being your favorite but then are using the pro. Shame!
Great job! Keep the vids coming. Love MA’s presentation and storytelling, a welcomed difference than the typical LTT content!
Strange to compare them to the open AirPods without the active noise cancellation. I get that they technically have the same MSRP but I think more people would be cross shopping with the AirPods Pro variance or beats flex. Still looks like a reasonably compelling product with an interesting aesthetic
Price is similar, it’s a hard choice then… that’s why.
Beats are superior
I think it comes down to the price range and affordability cause atleast for me I was specifically looking for this comparison because of my budget.
airpods too have auto noise cancelling, thought its more like a transparency mode mute when high frequency sounds occur.
Going from Mac Address to MAX Address with all of these uploads!
My old Galaxy Buds are giving out now so I may consider these. For me it's all about being as low profile as possible and Airpods don't do it for me with the longs stems.
kudos for sound design at 3:35
