As a reckless, disorganized (albeit semi-successful in my own mind) player I APPLAUD the concept & suggestions.
At the same time I will opine that how we play is never about "getting ahead of" other guitarists - it is about optimizing our own unique gifts to be able to express the best possible version of ourselves. Or as Thelonius Monk laid out in his rules for his band: “a genius is the one most like himself”.
