Many people dont know this but one thing that works extremely well for breaking free badly rusted fasteners is atf and acetone mixed 50-50. Beats pretty much anything on the market

Love the WD-40 White Lithium spray, it's thinner but penetrates really well and is a good midweight lubricant/grease when you need something to penetrate and setup heavier than a light oil or regular WD. I use it on bicyles, guitar tuners, stuff around the house...

I used both to grease my garage springs. I first tried the Blaster, it worked great for a few days and the squeaking came back. Switched to WD40 Specialized and the garage has been squeak-free for a week. Definitely will go with the WD40.

Grease should stay where you spray it. It's not made to penetrate. WD-40 grease got under the d-bell because it watery, not because it penetrates. To gauge penetrating you need to perform a Wick Test.

Different Lube's serve different purposes. White lithium grease is good for preventing metal-to-metal contact (as well as rust) not for small crack penetration.

Thumbs up on the video... I think the bulk of negative reviews has to do with the terminology that you're using. This video is actually perfect for what I, and I'm sure a lot of other people, was looking for. "How thick does it come out?"
Like you, I needed something to get down into small cracks (I need a grease for the roller pin on the door hinge to my Tahoe). "Penetrate" is the correct word, but usually when you hear it people are talking about getting past rust to break a bolt free. I think that's why people are giving shitty feedback.
    Anyway... thumbs up.

It appeared to me (though it is hard to tell) that when you sprayed the dumbbell the fluid from the WD40 pooled up against the dumbbell; then, when you lifted the dumbbell, the fluid spread out into the space previously occupied by the dumbbell. In other words, it appeared that the paper was dry under the dumbbell with BOTH sprays; but when you lifted the dumbbell the WD40, then, spread out; the other spray did not spread because it was more viscous (thick). Nothing went under the dumbbell in both sprays while the dumbbell was sitting on the paper; it wasn't until you lifted the dumbbell that the less viscous (thinner) WD40 (which had pooled up against the dumbbell) spread across the paper. Just my observation. The blaster spray is meant not to run -- it is meant to stay where it is spread; the WD40 is meant to remain a liquid. Good experiment! Thanks for sharing.

For the reasons you actually use white lithium grease, the Blaster looked better. You don't want it to run.

I have the same grease. I brought it after watching this video as I need some grease that can penetrate into tight area.
Unfortunately, the one I have is not as runny. It spray out and set almost immediately to very soft and thin whip cream like consistency. Not as thick as the blaster grease but certainly not runny. Maybe there is a change in formula.

Thx for the review. Perhaps the we penetrate d fast b.c it was more watery and on cardboard. The blaster might be do the same .just need s time

The WD40 white lithium grease can, you have to give it a good shake for about 30 seconds, it should not run as it did.

At the very beginning, he says he needs to grease bearings.
I'd use a high temp bearing grease. Which white lithium is Not.

Looks like the blaster is much better to me. You don't want it to be liquidy and runny.

WD 40 isn't a lubricant. It's a drying agent. Lithium grease is a lubricant. You're comparing apples and oranges. I've used both in different situations on printing presses.

this is not the regular wd-40. It's the white lithium grease wd-40.
