If you take out Venom (which was forced in by Sony), it becomes a harrowing tale of forgiveness and revenge. The three central characters, Peter, Harry and Marco are so perfectly designed for a tragedy it’s almost unfair. Personally, I think Harry should’ve set up the final fight scene after taking MJ away from Peter, roping Marco into his plan by proposing the idea of Spider-Man going after his family and ends in a way that leaves both Sandman apologising to Peter and Harry dying to protect Peter, in which case it forces Peter to rethink the black suit entirely as it messes with his head throughout the fight. So by the end, we have a dead but redeemed Harry, a forgiven Sandman that fades away, a broken relationship between MJ & Peter and a scorned Eddie Brock. I think the real problem with this movie, is Sony itself. Sam Raimi, the director, has stated that he never meant to include Venom in the movie but Sony forced him to do so. And Raimi said he had never fully understood the character of Venom and hence we ended up with this... A similar thing happened with TASM 2 where Sony rebooted Spider-Man as a dark and gritty version, but then completely changed the tone of the second film for the sake of comic book accuracy. Sony is the real villain. #illuminaticonfirmed
So true. I honestly loved Sam Raimi's vision and how he had these characters, and made this trilogy, Sony just screwed it up and ended this with a reboot, when this could have went so much farther and end up being a phenomenal series of movies.
@@darkbrotherhood76 for me, Toy Story 4 is super duper unnecessary. I mean dude, Toy Story 3 is one of the most perfect conclusions in history. They never needed to make a fourth one. Toy Story 4 is unnecessary while Endgame is extremely necessary imo.

I bet there are so many people out there that like this movie but they fear to be part of the minority so they would just say they hate it.
Let’s be real here. Everyone always love the originals just because it gives them nostalgia. The bad thing about nostalgia is that everyone only remembers the good parts. It’s a quote from somewhere. The point is,; you have to leave some space for the reboots.
yeah and then fired Rami because it was a flop to then go on to create the worse two spiderman movies of all time, things only went well for them when Marvel Studios was involved funny enough.
Sandman’s motivation for teaming up with Venom in the game makes much more sense than in the movie: “Hey Flint, I don’t like Spider-Man. Wanna kill him?” “Yeah, sure. Let’s do it.” Game: “Flint, I have your daughter, help me kill Spider-Man.” “Okay, okay. Just promise you won’t hurt her!”
That's a good point, actually. I mean, I kind of get it in the movie. Spider-Man straight up thought he was killing Sandman, so I would imagine Sandman would hold a grudge over that. But in the game, it ties back to what has always been his driving motivation: his daughter comes before everything else. He's trying to save the only light he has left in his life. I definitely admire Raimi for trying to make Sandman a far more interesting character than he ever was in the comics, but man, that forced Venom storyline really did poison the whole movie around it. And that's coming from someone who genuinely enjoys Spider-Man 3.
The Potato Actually in the movie he goes to the symbiote because it's like trying to save someone beloved to him, after all that's what the symbiote represents to Eddie Brock since the comics, much better than just having him get impaled on a bunch of spikes. But I consider one of the best deaths the one from the PS2 version, where Eddie just gets consumed by the symbiote in the end, tying into the whole parasitic behavior that Peter struggled and could've ended up with.
My favorite film of the 3. Some standout moments for me... Peter's discussion with Aunt may about killing Sandman and Aunt may says "Spiderman doesn't kill people, Uncle Ben wouldn't want us living one moment with revenge in our hearts" I literally teared up. Beautifully written. Harry and Peter's fight at the beginning and their team up at the end is freaking awesome. The Gothic Imagery. The dance Bar scene to me is actually a standout of the series. Its playful, whimsically directed and its the sort of thing I go to the movies to see. Its over the top and I love it. The Bruce Campbell scenes are hilarious. The part with sandman reaching for the ring is super emotional to me. When Harry Sacrifices himself for Peter. Oh and lets not forget my favorite line in probably the whole trilogy "Is goblin Jr gonna cry? Pure Gold. I actually agree its the most flawed but I genuinely think its the best film in the series. It can be both.
While it’s not my favorite of the three, I still really like this movie more than other people. Sure it’s flawed, but it’s still a well-made movie that has plenty of great things about it. At least it’s still really enjoyable to watch unlike other comic book films with similar issues
I always knew Spider-Man 3 was not as good as Spider-Man 2, but come on, it isn't THAT bad. I'd have to agree with HiTop that Spider-Man 3 is still a top tier level movie, at the level of Arkham Knight (if it were a movie), which is like better than 90% of movies in the world.
Finally someone who has good reasons. I did like spider man 3 also but the Tasm movies sucked more than spider man 3. RANKINGS 1. Spider - Man 2 2. Spider-Man 3.Spider-Man 3 4, The Amazing Spider - Man 5.The Amazing Spider - Man 2 I’ve barely watched homecoming. That means I can’t rank it on this list. Keep in mind that means it’s good but I haven’t watched it enough, but with The raimi trilogy and webb duofilms I’ve watched those movies at least 4 times individually (TASM 2 got 2 times).
I’ve always liked Spiderman 3, almost as much as the others. I really liked it. Kept me smiling for most of the movie. I’d definitely watch it again. Also, dancing scenes were the best part.

Dark comedy that's what I meant Riot is a kind of boring villain Carlton Drake also kind of generic but I kind of understand his motivations I thought Venom died at the end but half of him was burned off which means that we can't control and maybe or poison Edison point of death and the best part that Cletus kasady Venom 2 is going to be good they better make him R-rated because they're using Carnage if they don't I'm going to be disappointed but not totally mad
Raphael Adôrno How did I forget about that?!?! Maybe it was the fact that I liked it (not because it was good, but because it was SO trash that it was good) made me forget that Avi Arad still forced people to work on it. Have you seen the director talk about Venom, he looks depressed!
Three tweaks that would make Venom great 3: Build him up over the course of the movies and don't rush him. 2: Develop him, make him relatable. (But don't shove him down our throats') 1: Tweak the symbiote, so that it makes him appear bigger, and don't make the symbiote a lifeless turd in the wind that just turns you evil. Give it a personality, like in Venom, because like it or not, you have to admit, the back and forth between Eddie and Venom was great.
SKITLEY STORM They mention Eddie Brock in the first Raimi SM, too bad they didn't build up anything from that in the second one. SM2 could've given a lot of buildups for other characters and plots like Curt Connors, John Jameson, Felicia Hardy, Quentin Beck.

@Agent Dovahkiin nahh bro. Venom had a great set up. Didnt feel shoved in at all, even tho he was. Moreso it was the delivery once he was officially Venomized.
Calling Across The Void Band Yeah, even if Venom was forced by Sony, Raimi did a fantastic job building him up as a character. The real issue was the casting, Topher Grace really didn't feel like Eddie Brock, except for the church scene. I get that they tried to make a foil to Peter and make a paralel between the characters, but different from all the other villains, I didn't feel bad for him, just... annoyed for most of the time.
I would give all of them a rating not that high, but i think the difference between the point are similar. Spider-Man 7,5/10 Spider-Man 8,5/10 Spider-Man 6,5/10
There is something about Toby Maguire's Spider-Man that is just magical. I didn't feel that really with Andrew Garfeild maybe a little and I don't feel it with Tom Holland. To me Tom's Spidey is too dependant on Iron Man. Also I wish we could have seen an origin with Tom.

I wish people will give this movie and the entire Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire trilogy a ton more praise than it deserves; and maybe if Sony and Marvel play their cards right we can get either one more movie with the original web-slinger or a live action Spider-Verse with Maguire, Garfield and Holland all in one movie!

Although this comment is 3 months old, I wish to type this reply. In the Sam Rami Movieverse, 15 people is an over-exaggeration. She first dated Flash in Spiderman 1, and then Harry after something transpired between her and Flash. In Spiderman 2 she dated and nearly married J Jonah Jameson's son, but left him right on the day of the wedding for Peter. In Spiderman 3 she and Peter were a couple, but their relationship became rocky with her acting job declining, and her witnessing Peter kissing Gwen Stacy. Then when the relationship became sour, she turned back to Harry. And from my memory(like most of this to be frank), the relationship didn't really take off beyond there being a kiss. So she has only been with 4 men, not 15. Of course there is also the fact that, she wasn't dating the other three while she was with Peter. But Peter had kissed another woman, while she and him were in a relationship. So I believe she has a good reason for being mad, during and some time after Peter kissed Gwen. Also here is friendly some advice: I suggest that in the future, you shouldn't let your feelings for a character blind you when making claims. Doing such a thing(either under the guise or actually speaking negatively) can stir up an internet confluct. And as an result time is wasted, along with people creating unesscary, double-sided hostilities.
Someone no one talks about is the behaviour and look of this series webbing. Idk how to explain it but it’s unique. Toms is very comic accurate. Thick and a little over the top. Andrews is thin and kinda plain. But raimis is so different and cool
@Black Ninja I'm actually glad you said that to me cause I was watching a vid called:How I would make Spiderman 3 (or something like that) and the guy in the vid said the reason Pete was acting like a douche was because Peter has never been cool so that's what thinks "cool" is. I get it now
The pause on Peter's face, in Spider-man 2, is a mirrored scene from "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," which originally used the tune "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head."
I grew up watching Spider-Man 3 and its my favorite Super hero movie. I agree with that the dancing scene is what people judge about the movie and thats what annoys me. Though I did really like the rekcon about the death of uncle ben because it gives peter a hard motivation.
Does anybody still think that Spider-man 3 is bad?? OMG I never thought people took movies this seriously I mean do you even know how many trash films I have watched when comparing with this one I don't even understand why is Homecoming getting more ratings, I agree Tom played a great Spider-man, but then ratings should also be decided based on the story, and Homecoming did not have any special story at all

The studio actually forced Raimi to put Venom in to raise the stakes from the first two movies.
Austin Ford yes it’s quite sad isn’t it? ☹️
yeah and then fired Rami because it was a flop to then go on to create the worse two spiderman movies of all time, things only went well for them when Marvel Studios was involved funny enough.
@@NVDuster it wasn't a flop it's actually the highest grossing spider Man movie
Jesse Taveras it was a critical flop
@@keller804 not really it received mixed reviews from critics
Sandman’s motivation for teaming up with Venom in the game makes much more sense than in the movie:
“Hey Flint, I don’t like Spider-Man. Wanna kill him?”
“Yeah, sure. Let’s do it.”
Game:
“Flint, I have your daughter, help me kill Spider-Man.”
“Okay, okay.
Movie: Eddie goes to the dying symbiotic for no reason
Game: Eddie accidently gets killed by spikes.
But the death of Venom in the game is kinda dark.
The Potato That's what makes it good
Also cuz spiderman is genuinely regretful for Eddie and Harry soon after Venom's death happens in the game
For Real!? True, and if that happened and he remembered that spider man nearly killed him that would be true vengeance and threat
The Potato
Actually in the movie he goes to the symbiote because it's like trying to save someone beloved to him, after all that's what the symbiote represents to Eddie Brock since the comics, much better than just having him get impaled on a bunch of spikes. But I consider one of the best deaths the one from the PS2 version, where Eddie just gets consumed by the symbiote in the end, tying into the whole parasitic behavior that Peter struggled and could've ended up with.

I’m Going To Just Say It, I Grew Up With The Toby Maguire Spider-Man Trilogy.
And I Loved a These Films.
My favorite film of the 3.
Some standout moments for me...
Peter's discussion with Aunt may about killing Sandman and Aunt may says "Spiderman doesn't kill people, Uncle Ben wouldn't want us living one moment with revenge in our hearts"
I literally teared up.
Oh and lets not forget my favorite line in probably the whole trilogy
"Is goblin Jr gonna cry?

While it’s not my favorite of the three, I still really like this movie more than other people. Sure it’s flawed, but it’s still a well-made movie that has plenty of great things about it. At least it’s still really enjoyable to watch unlike other comic book films with similar issues

Three tweaks that would make Venom great
3: Build him up over the course of the movies and don't rush him.
2: Develop him, make him relatable. (But don't shove him down our throats')
1: Tweak the symbiote, so that it makes him appear bigger, and don't make the symbiote a lifeless turd in the wind that just turns you evil. Give it a personality, like in Venom, because like it or not, you have to admit, the back and forth between Eddie and Venom was great.

Mj dated like 15 people, without expecting peter to get mad, but yells when he kisses his lab partner
That was the dumbest thing I've ever heard. She wasn't in a relationship with peter until this movie. He kissed someone while he was with her.
She was with osborn's son because she kissed him
Although this comment is 3 months old, I wish to type this reply.
69th like.
