Well yeah, but it's the same way in the comic books. If you think about it, he could technically catch any criminal that doesn't have super speed in the first 5 minutes of each episode.

but Tom Cavanagh is the best part of this show. He does it so well, especially Eobard. But with some of the other characters he play... I mean he at least tries with what he is giving.

My one friend was complaining to me because Barry, in the Flash, has been acting un-Barrylike as of late. He's been willing to do borderline questionable things and shown a slight bend in his ethics. Then in the most recent episode he put someone in a box(basically) with no discussion or thought. So I countered by saying "What if he's Thawne in disguise?" *mic drop*
You haven't even touched on how Flash's daughter overstayed her welcome and we know that's not how time works. If you stay too long in a timeline that's not yours you could bring trouble. But nooooo, she got an entire season there... lol
The most unintentionally hilarious bit was when Nora tapped into the Negative Speed Force, screamed "WHY DID YOU STOP LOVING ME" at Barry and Iris then tried to kill them. The show clearly wanted people to feel sorry for her for being manipulated by Thawne but she brought it on herself. He admitted to murdering her grandma and told her the petty reason he hated her dad and she still trusted him.
(Spoiler warning) I like how in the end of season five Nora dies because the timeline has changed too much but in actuality she would have died way Earlier to how many changes she has done
One of the big problem with superhero shows like flash is that every episode is the same.. basically a lame ass villian flash cannot defeat him then his team tells him how to do it.. then he defeats the villain and happy ending
Flash was *always* dumbed down so the other excessive characters could look smart. He never needed sidekicks in his ear telling him what to do all the time.
Dude the Flash has like fifty people on his team at this point. Like, maybe Barry needs one or two scientists in his ear telling him what to do against metas and stuff but he’s a FORENSICS SCIENTIST - He doesn’t need his entire fan base in STAR LABS telling him to run faster
Something that annoys me about the episodes where Barry temporarily loses his powers is that in other actual well written superhero shows the power loss is used to show how they'll solve a problem without their powers and explore whether they're a hero with or without their powers or nothing without them. But whenever Barry loses his powers he doesn't try to sort things out without them. Just goes "Must get powers back" showing he'd be useless without them. Well written shows have it so that the hero can do good powerless or powered whereas badly written ones like Flash have their heroes angst about how they're nothing without powers.
That's your opinion. I like Arrow all the seasons. Sometimes it does drag a few episodes that seem like filler but the stories being told and the things we find out as it went on was great. The payoffs were always great in the end imo.

Honestly the most annoying thing about flash for me always was Barry’s inability to move as fast as we know he can. A guy who in season one can move multiple times faster than a bullet shouldn’t be hit by some big metal guys punches. Like his inability to dodge attacks angers me so much.
Ok, before you get mad... this is INSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! NOT an insult, but come on... a bullet creates a loud bang that allows the flash to know when it’s coming and he can only catch the bullet in prime condition. (When he’s not on the edge of death and standing with a powerful formation.) Where as when he’s be beaten with a FREAKING CAR DOOR by a guy who turns TO MEDAL and while he’s on the ground bleeding from his injuries, his brain can’t stimulate the information (most likely from a concussion) quick enough to dodge and avoid things such as a metal arm. Oh, and also if he doesn’t know an attack is coming (like something such a bang from a gun signaling the attack) he can’t react even with super speed.
There’s a great video called “The Flash Is Insufferably Inconsistent” that shows that the Flash has been pretty garbage since the beginning, particularly in regards to the action scenes.
I love the show but I agree that the writing is kind of bad. Every episode a character has a problem, then there is a cheesy speech and the problem is resolved. Rinse and repeat

This is littlerly all the episodes of The Flash: So in the first part of the episode it shows a villain killing someone and stealing something. Than it shows Team Flash trying to figure out who it did it. After that it shows the villain commiting a similar crime and the flash comes with his sidekick to fight the villain BUT they don't know how to stop the villain and get beaten up or his sidekick doesn't listen to him. AFTER that they have an argument pep talk and the villain is doing something thing Evilll and this time they know how to stop him or her. And when they stop her or him they go to the lab and forgive each other and hug it out. FINALLY at the end of the episode it shows the main villain of the season doing something EVILLLL. AND FINALLY ITS OVER remember guys quality over quantity

The most unintentionally hilarious bit was when Nora tapped into the Negative Speed Force, screamed "WHY DID YOU STOP LOVING ME" at Barry and Iris then tried to kill them. The show clearly wanted people to feel sorry for her for being manipulated by Thawne but she brought it on herself. He admitted to murdering her grandma and told her the petty reason he hated her dad and she still trusted him.

Something that annoys me about the episodes where Barry temporarily loses his powers is that in other actual well written superhero shows the power loss is used to show how they'll solve a problem without their powers and explore whether they're a hero with or without their powers or nothing without them. But whenever Barry loses his powers he doesn't try to sort things out without them. Just goes "Must get powers back" showing he'd be useless without them. Well written shows have it so that the hero can do good powerless or powered whereas badly written ones like Flash have their heroes angst about how they're nothing without powers.

Honestly the most annoying thing about flash for me always was Barry’s inability to move as fast as we know he can. A guy who in season one can move multiple times faster than a bullet shouldn’t be hit by some big metal guys punches. Like his inability to dodge attacks angers me so much.
Ok, before you get mad... this is INSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! NOT an insult, but come on... a bullet creates a loud bang that allows the flash to know when it’s coming and he can only catch the bullet in prime condition. (When he’s not on the edge of death and standing with a powerful formation.) Where as when he’s be beaten with a FREAKING CAR DOOR by a guy who turns TO MEDAL and while he’s on the ground bleeding from his injuries, his brain can’t stimulate the information (most likely from a concussion) quick enough to dodge and avoid things such as a metal arm. Oh, and also if he doesn’t know an attack is coming (like something such a bang from a gun signaling the attack) he can’t react even with super speed.

The villains might as well leave banana peels behind them as they run away. Because the way the show goes despite being able to outrun a nuke Barry would still slip on the banana peel.

Season 2: Interesting, but lost the initial charm

This is littlerly all the episodes of The Flash: So in the first part of the episode it shows a villain killing someone and stealing something. Than it shows Team Flash trying to figure out who it did it. After that it shows the villain commiting a similar crime and the flash comes with his sidekick to fight the villain BUT they don't know how to stop the villain and get beaten up or his sidekick doesn't listen to him. AFTER that they have an argument pep talk and the villain is doing something thing Evilll and this time they know how to stop him or her. And when they stop her or him they go to the lab and forgive each other and hug it out. FINALLY at the end of the episode it shows the main villain of the season doing something EVILLLL. AND FINALLY ITS OVER remember guys quality over quantity
Bruh he doesn't have a sidekick. Maybe that was Cisco or Wally in like 1 season but nope. Cisco lost his powers. Wally is on his own "mission".

I agree, Reverse Flash and Zoom were great villains. I also liked season 3, even though it got very dark. Seasons 4 and 5 have just had too many filler episodes.
Season 1 is EASILY my favorite season of The Flash.
it’s not the actors fault, it’s the writers.
