Great video! The skybox texturing issue is due to UVs on spheres tending to converge at poles. Mapping a plane to a sphere and vice versa can be really tricky. Just like how maps of the world have many different projections to account for trying to map the surface of a globe to a flat plane. Each one is kinda right, but they all have different artifacts and skewing (typically also converging at the poles).

My guess for the bunch of Ws in the empty map for the cubbies is that a capital W is the widest character in the fall guys font and therefore is the best for testing how many characters the max name length needs to be. and the "FINISH ME!" Was likely due to it being detected as not working as there are no fall guys to eliminate.

I always find it weird that the preview for the egg game is a different version to the final game. The preview shows your team area as a mouth of a creature or something but the actual game, its not that.
Same with Jinxed, where the pink smoke is green in the image, and in Slime Climb, where the boulders shot are low poly gray spheres instead of purple balls.

They built that using Pro Builder lol. 4:40: The star sprites are a cheap way of giving the illusion of parallax without using a costly shader. 5:40: That's literally the default behavior for Unity when a player or object hits the kill plane, they have it setup to perform a TP on hit with the kill plane, default TP behavior in Unity just moves the object very quickly. There's better ways to TP a player which they do elsewhere in the game, but for something like respawning a character when they fall, leaving it all default is easiest and works fine. 10:50: That's called a Panosphere. Take any seamless texture and throw it on a sphere and use a shader that supports panospheres and you'll get that exact effect. 9:30: his answer is a bit odd. basically they are adding extra lights just for the added bloom effect. an interesting approach. cool video, but some of their answers were a bit odd, but I get they can't just say "Actually that's just default unity behavior" Cuz that doesn't sound as good lol.

And I mean they use lots of slops and stuff so it makes sense that they used Pro Builder, and definitely saves time compared to using like Maya or smth to build all the levels in

there is a way to look at the skybox textures. I often get disconnected, so if that happens and I jump of before the disconnect message appears, I fall through the level and can see it.
The prototype / 1 meter texture in the cube is the grid material that comes with pro builder, a level design Unity tool. Devs use this to quickly build a level for testing because it let's them see the distances and metrics easily.
I had an impromptu session of Boundary Break when the server glitched out during Roll Out. Everyone started running in one direction or just stopped moving and I couldn't die. I got to see the full cylinder of the spinning wheel before jumping into the blue abyss. I have a clip on my channel if anyone is curious.
