- Hello bros! Life is Strange, one of my favourite games ever has returned with the prequel called ''Before the Storm'' which has only 3 episodes (and a bonus one) focusing on Chloe and Rachel. So, stay relaxed, pick up your popcorn and soda/beer xD and enjoy this awesome game :)
"Farewell" is a stand-alone bonus episode launched on March 5 and 6, 2018 depending on the region, only available as part of the Deluxe Edition and boxed editions of Life is Strange: Before the Storm and takes place long before the events of Before the Storm, with young Max and Chloe together. The player will be given the chance to play as Max Caulfield for a final time, the protagonist of the original Life is Strange.

It’s such a shame. Chloe’s life seemed nearly perfect just before her father’s death. It really was the catalyst when everything started to go downhill for her.

Thank you for no commentary...one guy's singing to the intro song sounded like a dead cat cat screaming for dear life and my husband (no joke) started yelling for me to please kill it he couldn't take it anymore. And if that was the INTRO...I didn't want to know what hell awaited me while he spoke over everything in the game and god knows what he would try to sing again

before the storm was a perfect follow up to the first game
i had never played this episode and yeah now i'm crying again lol. I've had to leave old friends behind and then we changed as people. never came back together. some did come back. left again. idk. life is weirdly sad like that. and losing people forever. ahhhhh. so happy for moving games like this. RDR2 got me misty too

I haven't seen my childhood friend for 15 years, but last year I went back to the town where I grew up. At first we hugged, but then ...he was avoiding me for some reasons. Btw our story is close to Max and Chloe, because his father died right after me and my family moved to north Algeria.
The cassette at the end is playing backwards. Look at the direction it's spinning.

i literally start crying the moment Max left the cemetery with her family ,the fact that Chloe got no one to talk to anymore makes it even worse. I guess thats how she loses it in BTS

e.g The witches in the opening scene of Shakespeare's Macbeth foreshadow the evil events that will follow.
This was from my literature notes so I think it’s not foreshadowing because we know what will happen, there is no mystery. The only thing that exist is a little 😉 and I don’t know if there is a term to call it in literature

maaaaaaaaaan the fact that at this point in time chloe's father is alive, means that he died like A DAY before max moved out, that's so bad, losing your bff and your dad in the same week

What i don't get is the fact is that they say in this that Max is about to leave in a few days but Chloe's dad is still alive. What does Chloe's dad die like in the next day or so after this? Edit: Nevermind. Just saw the ending.

I still cant get it. then why max did not talk at all to chole for 5 years until she went back to arcadia bay as a blackwell student if she was her best friend?
there’s a reason but ofc not excusing that she was wrong, max clearly cares a lot ab chloe (we can see that here and in LiS) but she suffers from anxiety and perhaps also another form of mental illness (if u check her school file, she has an IEP). she admits herself that she didn’t know what to say and in her journal, notes fears that Chloe has already move on from her. and while we know that’s not true, anxiety tends to perpetuate ideas like that. to top it off, given their close friendship since childhood, William was likely a 2nd father figure to her, so she’s also dealing with her own grief as her parents cause a sudden life change in the move away from her best friend. so, anxiety, grief and distance all combined until their contact petered out. that is, until their reunion, ofc, were they both learn how importante they are to each other. I think max was traumatized from that day and wanted to forget about it. That's why she may have not contacted chloe.

I think this episode occured right after William left the house to pick up Joyce.
Basically they were making breakfast, took the picture, he got the message from Joyce and left and then they were left to their own devices waiting for them to get back.
William got hit by another truck on his way to pick Joyce up

I feel that if it makes you feel better, play this episode first, then the main game of before the storm and then Life is Strange 1 before going onto Captain Spirit (or episode 1 of Life is Strange 2 before that) but I feel like I've made sense playing in release order rather than chronological.
Release order adds more mistery as in first game you just have the POV of how Max sees the world around her and then playing before the storm to answer all the question from the first game gives much more satisfaction overall.
@@XenonzYT Absolutely and then doing Captain Spirit before Life is Strange 2 despite it being set after the events of episodes 1 and sometime during episode 2 is ideal also (I did everything in Captain Spirit not to piss Charles off)

landon Mcfee Her parents moved to Seattle so Max had to leave for several years and she stopped texting Chloe for some reason. In the main game Max and Chloe reunite when Max goes back to Arcadia Bay for Blackwell Academy.
Max went to seattle with her family. Chloe and Max did messaged each other but for then Max stopped replying and Chloe wrote what she been through in the diary that was never sent to Max
