If it is from Mumbai. You will have to struggle in Gujarat highway due to potholes and road closures in NH48. So, take some additional time for these stuffs. Both on the way to Udaipur and return we drove Surat stretch in night to avoid long traffic jams. Safety wise there is no concern !!!

Nice video. How was the road condition between Godhra and Udaipur?
It was around 1.5 years back. We came across few broken patches but overall it was good !!
