nice vlog swayambhar sir, you are getting more subscribers because of your good videos and work, when i joined your channel on august 18, it was only 7.02K subscribers, and in just 95 days, your chanel got 9.08 subs. always keep smiling
True !! Have travelled multiple time between Mumbai - Amboli, Mumbai - Chorla during night and found it safe all the time !! But I will never attempt night drive in Delhi area !!
Hello to you, your video is informative for new travellers who can plan to use this highway for their Mumbai to Goa Trip..... can you give a rough idea of what percentage will be proper two side highway and what percentage is single road on this entire stretch of NH 66 from Mumbai to Goa??
Thanks for the compliments 😊😊 I think approx 70% will be double sided road and 30% is problematic Just ensure you don't leave NH66 at Sangameshwar as Google map at times show a different route from Sangameshwar
I am starting my 4000 kms journey from Pune to Ayodhya and back on 01 March. I too excited, only difference is I am 74 yrs old and my wife 70, we have already done our hotel bookings, don't want to take any chance at this age.
All the best sir for this upcoming trip !! Even we want to go there, but no leaves for us till April !! Yes, heard hotel booking at Ayodhya is difficult, so pre booking is a safe option!! Hats off to your enthusiasm, really appreciate!!
Thank you 😊😊 We tried this during our Ladakh series and that was good. In childhood when I used to travel with my parents, it was always without booking!! Slavia headlights are original LED, coming with style variant
Swayam, I am planning to do road trip from Mumbai to Goa this month. Could you pls suggest the best route which has best smooth good roads and less traffic to use for this trip? I see you have experienced various routes to Goa from Mumbai, so your suggestion would help us a lot. Thanks
I will say best is via Anuskura Ghats. Roads will be narrow but the condition of the roads are really good. Follow our video with title "Best route from Mumbai to Goa"
In patches and few long stretches. Tried to cover in this video. After Mangaon, it was still manageable. Have covered it till Kanyakumari, follow the series !!
@@dinmen I spoke to few of the locals, that road was said to be narrow. And in NH66 we can drive fast to same some more time !! If you are driving a 2 wheeler, then obviously the kharepatan with make sense
@@Travidiction thanks a lot for the reply. I've driven Mumbai Goa numerous times via Amboli Ghat but this time will try this route you have recommended. Driving the VW Taigun 😉. Will check out your new video now.
No bhoot pret on Kashedi Ghat 😂... I regularly travel on this route. And now Kashedi tunnel is open for light vehicles. Takes only 10 mins from poladpur. Like your video..
Good stuff, some suggestions - 1. Install a Dash cam!! 2. Please mention Date of travel 3. Please stop that 30 second trailer clip in the start of your videos. Safe travels!
Thanks for the compliments and suggestions. Really appreciate 👍 1. This is long pending, I have to do it !! 2. Noted 3. Good suggestion but have to retain this for a few of the videos. Unfortunately I have to retain this from a UA-camr perspective. Currently a good percentage of population leaves the video in the first 15 seconds. Sort of trailer is just to give a perspective. May add actually video start time for all who want to skip this !
The route was showing at left from sangmeshwar is basically goes through Devrukh, marleshwar & onwards it connect to NH-66 AT Ratnagiri, lanja & watul. Due to WIP going at NH-66 it takes lesser time from that way. Roads are goods in that section but curvy. All the best.
Wrong time to explore the Kerala side of NH66. Road expansion is going on from Kasaragod till Thiruvananthapuram. You may face a lot of traffic. All the best for your journey!
I know . This trip was long pending since 2018. Unfortunately, NH66 work is not ending over last 10 years !!! So thought let's go ahead with the pain !!! Thanks for the wishes 🙏🙏
Haven't driven Xuv so long. Till now 50,000 + kms done, not felt the fatigue / back pain!! Did lots of non stop long drives like Jaipur - Mumbai , Bangalore - Mumbai etc. but it was fine !! Slavia has stiff seats which is better for long drives !! Also ventilated seats are really an added advantage to curb the sweating back !!
Wasn’t kashedi ghar tunnel open when you travelled ? Also how many kms of bad patches till goa ? How’s the overall ride experience as compared to kolhapur - Satara- amboli route
No, tunnel was not open !! In my view Mumbai - Karad - Anuskhura - Goa is still the best route !! Amboli also have bad patches and to add to the pain lots of work happening on kolhapur highway top but the diversions are better than bad patches of NH66. All clubbed together, at least 70-80 km of bad patch in parts
@@Travidiction Thanks for reply☺️ Nice vlog as usual, Waiting for next part of journey now☺️... Virtus DSG buy karne ka soch raha hu 1.5 L, kya sahi decision hoga? I ve heard lot of issues regarding skoda vw DSG gearbox... What is ur opinion bhai?
Thank you!! Will get next episodes soon 😀😀 Virtus & Slavia, both are good cars. Abhi Pros and cons dono hai - 1. Virtus suspension is stiff compared to Slavia - potholes me Virtus se zyada Slavia comfortable rahega. However, control wise Virtus will have edge on Slavia 2. Gearbox - VW wala DSG gearbox badnaam hai. But agar aap 7-8 year ka horizon dekh rahe ho, go ahead with extended warranty till 8 years. Usse zyada ka guarantee to khud VW Wale nahi denge !! 1 L ka gearbox thik hai but fun and mileage dono Kam rahega !!
@@Travidiction Thanks bhai.. For replying in detail so much... Ohh its nice VW provides 8 yrs warranty... then i feel its good to go with DSG... Thanks again for taking time to reply me in detail☺️ Have a nice journey ahead👍
I fail to understand why take unnecessary risk of driving in the night? God forbid if something goes wrong, getting help would be extremely difficult and in certain situations, be the difference between life and death. Anyways all the best to you for your onward journey.
About a few years back I tried a night drive for the first time!! Loved the experience due to - Less traffic, less heat & lower travel time !! Agree with you, it gets difficult at times, hence we tend to avoid it on new roads. Less number of leaves pushes us more towards it 😢😢 Thanks for the best wishes 🙏🙏
Few reasons why we travel at night - 1. Temparature in control compared to sunny days 2. Less traffic compared to day, mainly 2 wheeler traffic is rare at night, including surprising entries from road dividers 3. Sometimes, we do this to make good utilisation of limited holidays. In ghats, it makes overtakes a bit easy in blind turns at night !! There are few risks of antisocial elements, we try to reduce probability by sticking to main highways, and one self discipline of not to over stretch at any condition. If sleepy, either we change drivers or stop the car in a safe location and sleep

Pathetic are those people who use only upper beam at night. Having a good German sedan is quite an advantage during bad roads.
