There are many videos on the channel about the car and I am making more. My next videos will be more tuning videos. My plan is to do one video about the 5 speed tune. Then another video about the supercharger M90 isn’t the only option. They make centrifugal supercharger kits that are more common for these cars. The 2000 model year I would imagine is simpler to tune. Because it is not drive by wire. It still has a cable. And idle air control valve Let me know if you have questions.
@@bpbuilds I converted a F150 2V 5.4 to the Lightning blower setup back 14 years ago. I used the air filter box from a supercharged Harley truck but I was running a 10Lb lower pulley and a 2.8 upper pulley combo. Load would go down as RPMs went up, never was able to make more than 10PSI until I realized the box was never designed to flow what I was trying to pull from it. Once I opened up the bottom of the box(before the filter) everything came together, make 15.5Lbs and load went to 1.63
@@thastinger345 makes sense. I am only running 7psi. With a M90 blower on a 4.6 liter 2 valve Data logs show no restriction with stock airbox. Did you watch the video revealing what the issue was?
@bpbuilds I think if you use an SCT Eliminator chip you could burn your tunes on to that and be able to trick the SCT so that you can have a tune on more than one car just a thought. Also just purchased tuning software for my 2001 irs V6 Mustang using the same injectors as you and a Gen 5 M90. I just need to figure out how to get the thing mounted as low as possible doesn't have the blower on it currently😢
@bpbuilds afr gauge not mirroring in livelink. I've tried the scaling from AEM but for reference let's say my afr gauge reads 12.6 volts are 3.75 in livelink the readings are 17-20 and volts are 7.65. So I wanted to pick your brain on the wiring and equations you're using. If I may ask
Depends how you drive the car. If you are always on the boost. Yes of course you will use more fuel than stock to support the additional power you are demanding. However if you operate the vehicle such that you do not require boost. You would probably not see much difference. But at that point why install a supercharger? I used to get 260 miles per tank. Now I get about 240. I drive mostly suburbs.

You need to drill some 3 or 4 inch holes in the bottom and sides of that airbox if you care about keeping the factory look.

They probably thought they wouldn't sell enough to make it worth it
