Probably the most beautiful tank ive seen, I don't normally like inwall tanks because I feel it removes you from the tank and sort of turns it into a painting on a wall but this is amazing. And the room around it is beautiful as well. Great video
Greetings from Phoenix, Arizona! Brother, this was the highlight of my month lol. This tank is absolutely stunning. To see a reef tank this old is nothing incredibly special and very very few people will ever achieve. I truly wish you could interview him on his start in reefing all the way to now. Great video, it really means the world that you brought this tank to light. Thank you
P.s. I know I mentioned it in my comment above. Knowledge and history is getting lost everyday. Alot of the older generation dosent pass down their knowledge and experience because they don't have an outlet or their family isn't interested enough to listen. However, there are many people including myself that would watch this old man talk for an hour or more about his experiences and his life......more specifically his reef tank. Please interview this man about what reefing was like 40 years ago, his trials and tribulations with his tank, and where his tank is now. I'm sure alot of reefers would appreciate it. It would allow millions of people the access the beauty of his tank and how he has been successful......sorry long winded PS Comment but I wanted to at least ask
Hey there bud! Glad you appreciated the video! That’s a great idea and I I’ll definitely talk to him about it…but I’m sure he would be game. I’ll just have to figure out a decent format for it as he doesn’t speak English. Perhaps I could do the entire thing in Swedish and somehow put in subtitles or something.
It’s amazing how he has kept that tank in great condition for the past 40 years. He has such a diverse collection of fish and corals. Thanks for the tour, bro.
Yeah bro. I’ll do a more in-depth interview with him at some point as soon as I’ve figured out a good format. Him not speaking English makes it a bit more challenging.
A true man cave dream.
Cool snubbe. Hoppas han får bra hjälp med allt. Verkligen imponerande.

Fantastic video, tank & room. Really great to see a proper established tank in a room and style that isn't just another clone from social media. It's great that we have such easy access to information & products/livestock today but I do feel the modern incarnation of this hobby looks so corporate and repetitive compared to the reefing aesthetics pre smartphone era.
Yeah bud. This dude is anything but standard haha. And talk about an established tank…40 freaking years! I completely agree. I started at the turn of the millennium and there was so much more diversity in tanks back then.
Dogma. Some people don’t like actual reef fish being their reef tanks. They are fixated on just the corals. Their tanks are depraved and don’t look anything like an actual coral reef. Very weird. I don’t understand this mentality. So called fish only tanks are ugly and unnatural.
Why continue to forcibly spread such a blatant lie and effectively get most reef aquarist to avoid keeping large angels and even butterflies in their reef aquariums? You have to wonder about their agenda in promoting such a lie. Maybe some coral keepers are anti fish and create false rumors to justify their decision to not keep, large reef fish with corals.
Absolutely amazing please please tell us more about his methods how he used to do stuff back in the days and over the years exept the big water changes that you mentioned he does How he managed with the angles and especially with the butterflies there that know to eat literally everything like the golden one and maybe more that i wasn't aware are there... This is a pure gold of knowledge from a very few people out there to learn as much as possible as long as they exist...
I’ll do an in-depth interview with him at some point. In terms of the angels and butterflies what the prevailing idea is about them is pure nonsense. They do completely fine with corals provided the tank is big and they get feed enough :)
@@viking_reefing It is going to be a LOOOOOOONG list :) In a week or 2 he will add 2 boxes of different Annemons (8 pieces) including another red Heddonis.
What a great tank. Thank your friend for opening up his home, for you to share his amazing reef! Well done!
I sure will. He thought it was a lot of fun!
Love seeing guys who have been in the hobby forever! That system just runs and runs! Thanks for putting his out there 👍🏻🍻🤛🏻
Yeah, this system deserved to get shared to the world!

I have the same feeling but the overall design of his tank and space really goes well together in my opinion.

Great tank tour! Thanks for sharing 🙏💯🙌👏
It’s a cool piece of reefing history for sure :)

Amazing how people say you can’t mix angels with corals but he has them thriving!
Yeah, that’s just a bunch of nonsense
They are so well cared

that wooden stand scares the absolute shit out of me hahahah
Haha it should be fine ;)
Absolutely amazing ❤.
Glad you think so!
Legend, brukar stötta på svempa på butiken. Får helt klart försöka få en titt på detta system! 😍
Bara hör av dig till honom så får du säkert komma förbi
Incredible tank!!
It really is!
Impressive reefing jedi
Indeed!
This is amazing , I’m not going to lie a little concern about the wooden stand situation
If it’s held up for 40 years it’s probably gonna be good moving forward as well hehe
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

helt grymt!
Verkligen :)
Great one!
Thank you! Cheers!
wow amazing tank
Indeed bud!
Amazing tank, how do they get into the tank to do any maintenance!?
He lays on top of the tank haha
Awesome tank. Mine just made 20 years😅
That ain’t to shabby man! I’ve only been in reefing a couple of years longer than your dang tank haha
@viking_reefing I moved it from my old apartment when buying this house. I pray everyday it doesn't leak😄
@ hahaha I think you deserve a new (and bigger) tank at this point ;)
@viking_reefing tell that to my wife😄. The tank I want not would be about 8k.
@ don’t tell your wife. Just do it haha
