If you want your Shortcut to automatically save to Photos, add the Save To Photo Album action at the end! You can also use the Share button on that preview to Save Image - I do this because I don’t necessarily want to save every one 🤓

You probably know this, but if you swipe up on a photo than you can choose “loop”, ‘bounce”, ‘long exposure” which is similar to a gif. Awesome little shortcut though and super handy. I’ve got shortcuts for everything now - such a handy app and brings insane customisation to iOS. I can get any smart home device that would only be supported by Alexa or Google and integrate them.

I actually just learned from your video that you can drag and drop the items into the flow on an iPhone. I had been tapping and then dragging them into the correct spot.

Hi Mathew. Thanks for the quick reply after looking at it I added the above as you suggested, however, I need to sort by "oldest" first. Then the gif plays in forward motion. I think the problem was occurring as in the find photos command I have it set to show the latest first. Thanks again all working now.

This feature is not available in the current version of Shortcuts. Please check the Shortcuts subreddit for a PSA post about what's missing. A ton of people are asking for "triggers on location, triggers on time" but they don't exist as of October 2018.
Yeah unfortunately not possible - you can set up Launch Center Pro notifications to run your shortcuts, but you'd still have to tap them to run. It's still really great though, check it out!

This did not help at all. U started off doing steps not saying what it is you were doing until after you were doing it. And you move at a fast paste without hesitation to make sure we know what we’re doing smh....

CoolGreySoul That’s somewhat besides the point - this is a way to build them out of any photos if you want, and there are also many apps that do that on iOS. Using some of the techniques here you can apply them to other types of shortcuts too.

LG G8 has Gif Capture feature that can make gifs from videos. You only need to press one button

You probably need to add Sort By and then Most Recent first. Or you could add Filter Files after and do the same thing.

I ended up downloading the default way to “make a gif” through the shortcut app. Then looked through their commands and adjusted it accordingly.
