The Test To Determine Which PPG Paint Covers The Best
All painted tested to determine which PPG paint covers the best was white semi-gloss paint without tint. With few exceptions adding tint improves coverage.
The applicator did not know what paint he was applying. Therefore, the name of the paint was on the bottom of each clear plastic container. After the applicator applied the paint, he wrote a number on the container to keep track.
Only after the judges evaluated all the paint did they know which paint grade they scored.

Thanks. Can you do a video comparing Pittsburgh Revolution to Pittsburgh Paramount, interior, flat..... Menards has those, and seem to be decent paints. I got some Grand Distinction, but that is a lower model. Have you used those.....

Hi I would like your advice. We painted a house with dark blue PPG exterior paint on white. We gave 3 coats to cover well. Then the blue started having a white powdery film looking like chalk. What is the cause and what to do to remedy it?

Oxidation is the chalking taking place. Solution is to clean with TSP and repaint. Ben Moore has something called GenX technology that keeps colors from fading. What PPG paint did you use?

@@Davidklappenberger hi David, we used the PPG Sun Proof latex. Why would it oxidate after a day or two? Is the paint bad?

@@louisehalifax2808 I didn't know that it was painted that quickly. Paint doesn't oxidize that quickly. I would call your local PPG sales rep and have him or her take a look. Please keep me informed.

Would you recommend the speedhide if your painting a wall that’s already white ?

Ultra last and aura should not be compared to emerald. They are a better quality paint. Emerald is closer to regal and manor hall. Also Ultra Spec is better than supper paint. Sherwin williams is an average paint but great at marketing. The resins used by ppg and ben moore in their ultra ladt an aura are superior to sw. I refuse to use sw paint. Over price and they make claims that are not true,
