Let's all join together and set humanity free.
The best day of 2019 so far.
Sounds like they have really matured into their new sound. It's self assured.
Oh that ending riff seriously Sabbath like in a fabulous modern way...but so many sprinkles if classic and new metal / rock in Opeths music.....mezmerizing brilliance once more... .I can't wait this record....ace video too
it's like Devin Townsend structure of music but Opeth-style

My lifelong dream is to meet Mikaël and give him a hug.
I hear a Steven Wilson vibe here, at times...Really great song !!
Very similar to some of the heavier Hand and Raven tracks.
They're good friends, Steven produced Damnation! They did an album together, so....yea...
@@infinitesentient3545 he also wrote the lead guitar for the intro to the drapery falls and he plays piano on the outro of the leper affinity
And guess who sings a part in bleak
I was thinking The same.
Man. I'd love to be able to get the multi tracks to this album and give it a mix. I love it. Its a brilliant album!
5:03 IS THAT A GROWL??? DID WE GET A DECENT SOUNDING METAL VOCAL TECHNIQUE RIGHT THERE MY DUDES?!?!?
That was a Hammond organ I think
Sort of. Not anything like his ACTUAL metal vocals, but it’s a start... restart?
finally...after years and years Opeth sounds like Opeth again.
Opeth loves to add laugh tracks into their songs lmao.
t the end you want to hear: « and the moon above, and the sun below... »

First listen and this is beyond amazing. Music and visuals. Have experienced Opeth albums since Ghost Reveries after release (as my music listening has taken other directions) but now I'm really hyped for September 27th!
I wish that Sweden should rule the world of music, my life would become much more amazing if am always around people who listen to Opeth. love from India.
In my house they DO rule the world of music! If you don't like Opeth, we're not going to get along!
@@infinitesentient3545 can we be family :) ?
@@nikhilbankar4412 In my view of life, we already are :)

Dude you have written what i use to comment everywhere. To me, they are no longer just a band or prog or tech death ot whatsoever. They have changed my perspective towards melodies and songwriting
At 2:10 the song reminds me a lot of 'Ljudet Innan' by Storm Corrosion (Which I was listening to this morning before seeing that there's a new Opeth song). So beautiful and mysterious, it's incredible how they always create masterpieces, no matter the genre.
Amazing masterpiece, Opeth never dissapoints
Old Opethian here. I liked Heritage, I loved Pale Communion, and not like many others, I liked Sorceress too. (However, I'm not a big fan of Watershed TBH.) I can say I wasn't this excited since the release of Ghost Reveries, which is one of my favourites. These two songs are so, SO strong, I can't even find the words. I'm so happy this is happening.
- Their last three releases have grown on me as I gave them more play. I enjoy every Opeth release: but really like this direction they have been on for the past few releases...and I have already pre-ordered this new release in both English and Swedish language separately in the jewel case...I hate digipak format.
From these two tracks they’ve released so far, it seems In Cauda Venenum is gonna be kinda like the sung parents of Ghost Reveries, which excites me
Don't forget about The ReConstrukction of Light and the Heaven and Earth boxset by King Crimson
Such amazing melodies
GOD DAMN, OPETH NEVER GETS OLD. I FUCKING LOVE YOU GUYS!
One of their best solos, for sure!
the most Pink floyd of Opeth's music
Wow, this is kinda like Genesis from Nursery Crime overpowered. Cool
Wow this is probably my favorite "new era Opeth" song so far
I feel like Mikael's growls would actually go with this current style very well on the more "heavy" parts.
That said, this new album is shaping up to be fantastic.
Big fan of tool and i was bought here by a friend. Thank you!! so atmospheric
Very heavy vocals
i do really like the feel of uncertainty that they seem to have woven in. the home language mixed in with some newly twisted techniques is very seductive. cool approach at this point in the game.
