Ultrabalaton 2024 - My story

Ultrabalaton is a 211 km single loop around lake Balaton, Hungary. I traveled from Norway late Wednesday for the race at Friday. With big ambitions! This is my diary from these days. And what a race! Stupid me messed up and dived into the pain cave.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, every race gives you something new. Always take-aways. That is way I try to be a bit analytic when it comes to Lessons Learnt. What worked well and what did not.

Not many people would call 211km and 19hrs 37min "Maybe a bit short" for a training session. Badwater needs to get ready for Simen, not the other way around :D

He he… well Badwater is a different game. The distance is not a problem, but I need to get my speed up.

Hei, takk. Jeg (19:37:44) var ca. to timer bak vinner Erős Tibor (17:35:02) og ca en halv time bak Luke Videtic (19:09:19). Hadde vært spennende om løpet hadde vært noen timer lengre.
