- Uncle Tupelo Sandusky (a very short, loose interpretation). Hope you enjoy this impromptu recording by my daughter of this awesome Uncle Tupelo song! Sandusky is such an awesome tune. Please leave a comment if you'd like and subscribe. I try and post originals and covers each week...
I hope to have my kid happily filming me shred acoustic guitar like this one day. You’re living the dream dude. Nice job!
So much to be grateful for. Life is good. Appreciate the listen and kind words my friend. 🎸🎼✌️❤️
This is the only video I could find on someone doing this. Thank you sir.
Beastmodeiscool you are welcome! Hope you enjoyed it. Super cool tune. 👍
Sounds easy but isn't. What a gem of an acoustic piece and you did it amazingly well good Sir !
Super kind reply! Really appreciate the listen my friend. Such a wonderful melody! 🎸🎼✌️
Thanks for making this man. It’s hard to separate all the instruments in that track and find the lead guitar part.
Truth be known, I simply came up with what I hear as the dominant melody on the guitar! Glad it resonates with you as well. And I appreciate the listen and comments man...😊🎸🎼🤘
Thank you so much for this video! Helped me learn how to play this song
You are welcome. It is only my interpretation. There are several guitars on the original recording, so I just gave it my best approximation. Love the melody! 😊🎸✌️
Nice playing! I’ve always wanted to learn this
Thanks Jess! It really is my interpretation of the tune - there are several guitars playing different parts on the original recording. Super cool song! Thanks for listening and leaving a comment. Much appreciated...😊🎸✌️
Thanks for this! I just started the guitar and want to learn to play the lead melody really bad! Beautiful tune.
You are welcome! I certainly don’t play it correctly; I just selected in my mind a combo of the multiple guitar parts in the recording. If you didn’t pick it up, my low E string is dropped tuned to a D. Thanks for listening…😊🎸🎼✌️
Love this
Many thanks Enrique! Appreciate the listen and reply brother…🎸🎼✌️
Love it !
Jack De La Fuente, thanks for the kind words! 😊🎸
Just… wow 🤩
Super kind Norman! Thanks man. Such a great melody! 🎸🎼✌️
@@diggyfire1 thanks pal! And call me Norm (like in Cheers) - only my mom called me Norman when she was mad at me 😂
sounds great!
Theodore Borkowski, thanks! 😊
Sweet playing.
Thanks Eran! Appreciated man…😊🎸🎼✌️
well done !
Big thanks Joyce! Appreciate the listen. 🎸🎼✌️
What model Taylor is that? Sounds great
Hey, thanks! Appreciate the listen and reply. It’s a Taylor 410! 🎸🎼✌️
Hello please can you do a tutorial on Sandusky.
Ben Fitzgerald, hi Ben! I’m not really set up to video/edit a proper tutorial. I can tell you that there are a couple of guitars playing on the original recording. I simply took the main melody I was hearing and came up with this interpretation. I dropped the low E string to a D. Hopefully you can see the chords I’m using (most notably and open D, a fretted E, and partial G fragments). 😊🎸👍
I drop the bottom E to D and play 007779 but bend the 9 0n the top E. Then hammer a D shape on the 9th fret of the G & B strings with the 11th fret of the G string.
Thanks for the suggestions Jason! Haven’t played it in some time. Will check that out! Appreciated the listen…🎸🎼✌️
@@diggyfire1 I'm excited by a rumour that Jay Farrar is joining Peter Bruntnell and James Walbourne at a pub in S London Sunday
@@diggyfire1 I put chords to a lot of UT songs in lockdown and sometimes play them 'live' with people. Have had a go at Sandusky before too.
I love the Sandusky melody. Always will…🎸🎼🤘
Can you do a tutorial?
Hey man! Really appreciate the question. I’ve never done one before 😂. Not really set up to do one, but I am tuned standard except for the low E, which is dropped to a D. If you watch closely, I’m really only playing an open D chord, fill notes, then a fretted E, then a partially fretted G, and fill notes back to the open D chord. Take it slow. I’m guessing you can figure it out by playing and pausing each part of my video. If you lived close by, I’d sit down and teach you! 😊🎸✌️
Sandusky is such a beautiful melody…and you played it so well🎶
Super kind comment! Appreciated my friend. A favorite melody of all-time for me. Many thanks! 🎸🎼✌️
Close enough. Nice job.
Many thanks for the listen. Appreciated! 🎸🎼✌️
So good thanks for the video
Thanks for listening! Really, such a great melody. 🎸🎼✌️
Nice job, love this song!
Many thanks! Appreciate the listen. Such a great melody! 🎸🎼✌️
Well done! This is the groundwork of a new project.
Thanks Jim! Love that tune...😊🎸✌️
This isn't an interpretation; he just needs to practice it.
😂🎸🤘
Pretty darn good.
Very kind Paul! Appreciated man. Many thanks…😊🎸🎼✌️
Is there a specific type of tuning?
Hello! I’ve only dropped the low E string to a D here. Otherwise, standard tuning. Hope that helps! Thanks for listening…😊🎸🎼✌️
Thank you for reaching out. I thought you would not reply!!!
@@Scerrystory of course! Take care my friend…🤘🎸🤘
