Great version! I love hearing how that NPR still uses Sandusky as their transition music between stories, even in 2021! All these years later, this gem has staying power.
Not at all a big fan of these guys, but was sitting in a bar with my wife in Burlington, VT, and this song came on about 1.5 years ago. I asked the bartender to check who the band/song was, and it will always be such a great memory for me of a very cool trip.
Yeah they improved continually, and did very well even after splitting up. Anodyne was a brilliant album. Son Volt and Wilco have each made awesome music in the years since. But I loves me Uncle Tupelo.
That's awesome!! I wish I could have seen them play live ... I posted it because I can only find a different studio version online and I rly like this live version a lot more. I found 2 Uncle Tupelo CDs in a pile of CDs being thrown away, and actually I uploaded it with that picture^ because I thought it was from the CD U.T. live in the Midwest, but the CDs were switched in the wrong cases haha! So it's actually from the Chicago Lounge Ax 1993 Halls of Shame. But anyways... the feels this song gives me... !!! xo

Love the Neil Young vibe on this version. This could be on Live Rust and no one would notice.
Awesome version, thanks for posting. My fave Uncle Tupelo song and one of my fave Jeff Tweedy songs as well.
Tweedy wrote this? I always assumed it was Jay.
@@ih8music double checked and it’s actually co-written by both!

Pretty good but far from the best music ever. Don't go overboard, listen to other bands like Thievery Corporation and compare.
I love this band and will check out TC. Thanks.
Nah keep digging into this band. lots of great tracks
