Omg! I love this too it’s so amazing how the resin creates such depth and looks so much like a stormy ocean tide! Absolutely. gorgeous! If I had the ability to live wherever I wanted I would so lick the beach my favorite is Folly Beach.
Again, I love beach theme art. This is beautifully done. My Apt is beach theme and I enjoy watch you and others do this type of art. You still have that one or was it sold...lol
This is amazing. I have been trying to create this lace effect but I have not been successful. Is there a special white colour that needs to be used for this to work? I am using Amsterdam acrylic ink
It looked too easy, Molly, but I know that your knowledge and skill are what make the difference. Thank you for showing and teaching how to create a painting like this.💧
Aloha Molly! I just found your content and binge-watched so many of your videos! I would love to know what type of gun are you using here! Is it the wagner HT100? or the Furno model? I cant distinguish from this video. Thank you for posting incredible content!!
Hi Molly, when I used my blow dryer the heat made my paint thicken. Is that caused by my paint being to thick. Thank you for always responding quickly.
Hi Molly, Beautiful Artwork. Would you please provide some information on which Resin you use(1:1 or 2:1 or 3:1) ? and how do you prepare your pour ? Resin mixture + Acrylic colour or some other pigment ? and what quantity of colour is mixed ? Thanks
No, even with regular alcohol inks you can use a heat gun. You have to be careful with flames, but there is no added alcohol to these, I put the ink in resin. What little solvent is there likely evaporates prior to torching our heat gun. As always, have a fire extinguisher handy and wear proper protection
Would I be able to use a hairdryer for the waves, while I wait for my resin heat gun to arrive? Also, you just pour your first ocean layer directly onto the canvas, or did you put a layer of white acrylic down first?
Yes you can, just great with a torch and blow with the blowdryer. I did just pour it, but you can paint the bottom first, i would recommend the color of your base, like blue
regular. For a long time I used a revlon blow dryer, it is very old. I believe the wattage is 1875. I blow on low or cool mostly. But i also have one that is 1000 watts and it works too. Watts don't always equal power. It depends on much more like the angle at which you direct the air and on the air concentrator
Okay I have a question because I'm working on my first resin ocean right now. In every tutorial I've watched, the artist just says "white". Is the white mixed with resin or is it just ink/paint? I think my white was too heavy because it was not spreading at all over the clear resin with my heat gun. Then I tried mixing it with resin but it looked like it was sinking to where when I did spread it, the white was so faded. Any help would be appreciated.
Why does my castin craft waves blend in with the ks resin & mutes the color of white. It just all blends. I cant seem to get much lacing. Also im using hair dryer cuz my heat gun blows dust. Maybe its not hot enough? Id appreciate any feedback you could give me. Your art is all beautiful! This is a Great piece!
The first layers do blen. I get the vest effect when I do a clear coat of resin, a little color and move the white across as i do here. You really do need the heat gun to activate the resin and make to cells in my opinion. It needs that heat. Otherwise you are just moving the resin and color around and it just blends
This is one of my favorites. I have had a failure with resin but this makes me want to try again. You mentioned a casting product. How did you use it? I read it better and that was your ink...
Love this! I struggle with the white and making waves, what is it that you use for that and do you mix it with resin before hand ? I've seen so many different techniques and I am lost lol
It matches your toes!! Really cool.
Beautiful! I love how you paint with resin. Cool!
You make it look so easy, but I know it takes a lot of skill. Just gorgeous.

Awesome! 💙 It looks great!
Loved it.
Perfect 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Looks gorgeous! What is the white you add for the waves? Is it resin/hardener mis with pain/pigment or is it diluted paint? Thanks in advance!
Stunning!!! Do you put white alcohol ink in your castin craft white pigment and do you let the resin thicken at all before applying the white?
Oh wow, it looks like a photo of the ocean 🌊❣️ Your artwork is awesome, Molly, love it all so much.🥰
Thank you so much!

Hi ramona! I have it but I have put more layers over it. Its my piece that I used when I did lessons!
This is amazing. I have been trying to create this lace effect but I have not been successful. Is there a special white colour that needs to be used for this to work? I am using Amsterdam acrylic ink
I use alcohol ink mixed with casting craft and it works great!

Hi Molly, when I used my blow dryer the heat made my paint thicken. Is that caused by my paint being to thick. Thank you for always responding quickly.
The heat my dry your paints faster, but not normally with the short amount of time that it is in contact. It may just be your paints are too thick

yes i use KS resin it is 1:1 ratio. each resin is different. check out my resin playlist i go over it all there
Molly I thought using alcohol inks you could not use the heat gun. Please advise beautiful picture. love the waves.

Another AWESOME painting. Thank you for sharing. You are a true artist. Keep up the great work. Do you sell any of your paintings?
Thank you! Yes I sell all my paintings. Either at fine at shows (large) or on etsy (small)
Привет! Очень реалистично!
Ты добавляешь силикон в белую краску?

Beatifull Moly es una pistola de calor ??
Magnifico funziona anche con fhon per capelli o bisogna avere uno strumento particolare come quello che sta usando lei? 😊

Having so much trouble trying o get any lacing that doesnt look like curdled milk, I see you do private lessons, would you consider an online lesson?
It’s hard to make and talk together, May be add sound for later much better. Beautiful inspiring work .
Hi can u say something about the white. Which brand.. did u add white alcohol ink or any additives 2 it.
Yes, casting craft, and alcohol ink. Golden white for the base
Thank you for the help
This is THE BEST resin video I've seen, and I love this painting!! What size is the wood panel?
It is 11x14 I think! Thank you!
Just ordered some:)
I really love your work, may I ask what sort of prices you ask for, your wave pictures please, ?...
Molly is this acrylic paint? I'm new to resin, so I didn't know if u can use acrylic. Beautiful painting Molly
This is resin, but I have lots of similar acrylic only pours on my channel .
Hello Molly,
From France I have a question : how do you do prepare yours colors. Tks from France.
Hi! Do you mean for resin? Check out this video I explain it at the end! ua-cam.com/video/G29eKrMtvs4/v-deo.html
Molly, have you used resin on a canvas??? If so, how do you prep canvas?
Yes, but I don't super care for it. You don't have to fo anything to the canvas except brace the back. Wood is my preference with resin.
Thank you!!!

It is white acrylic and ink mixed in with resin

Arteza
Hoy many oz total for this pour? How big was the canvas?
Hi Molly! Beautiful!
Where do you get your boards, and after you remove the tape, how do you hide the sides not being covered in resin?
They are natural wood!
Ah, ok...so just primed? Then what did you do to the sides since you had them taped?
@@stephanieelledge5370 no the sides are natural wood. The top is guessoed. I leave the sides natural wood
Thank you😀
What white do you use in your resin waves
Castin craft
How is KS resin different from Art Resin? Is it because of the heat resistance?
The heat resistance, the core time, the uv protection, and I am not sure of art resin is fda food safe. And the price.
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY Yes, love the price, lol
What white do you use for the waves?! I use mermaid trash's foam white and it doesn't quite work for me as well as I'd like!
I used castin craft
This is one of my favorites. I have had a failure with resin but this makes me want to try again. You mentioned a casting product. How did you use it? I read it better and that was your ink...
Its casting craft, it's a white pigment, you mix it into the resin with the alcohol ink to make the waves
