- So, Keanu Reeves has been cast as Shadow the Hedgehog in the upcoming Sonic 3 movie.
Why Keanu? Well, probably because he's absolutely perfect for the role in every single way. Researching this video made it abundantly clear that there is nobody in Hollywood who can play the infamous motorcycle-riding, gun-wielding Ultimate Life Form quite like Keanu can.

An actor whose most iconic role is a guy who’s an expert with guns, now has the role of a hedgehog who’s an expert with guns. What better casting can you ask for?
I would argue Neo is more iconic than Wick, just Wick is more recent so the impact feels fresher. Though Neo wasn't too shabby with guns either!
Ah sure, Neo is also Gun Fu but with reaction speeds so high they seem like time manipulation.
Shadow also has reaction speeds that high, but can also just literally change the flow of time.

Simple he's breathtaking. That and it's an interesting role role for him and one that's near perfect for him and how he seems to be an actor who plays roles not initially fan casted him as them but he somehow makes it work that and he seems to be the perfect actor for big roles to where there's basically nothing said awful about him or controversy involving him and he's most likely gonna take the Shadow role seriously knowing that he's voicing a character many sonic fans absolutely adore and love and won't damage the reception of the films and Shadow by doing something awful or getting involved in controversy
I remember Keanu was once paranoid he'd be typecast as Ted from Bill & Ted... I'd say he succeeded having a wide variety of roles over the decades since then

Keanu Reeves might be a mystery, but one thing we DO know about the man is that if he really wants something, he's always giving it his all. We can't be sure if he'll play Shadow the way everyone would like to imagine, but he's certaintly not gonna take the role for granted.

I really wonder how he'll do. Like, I feel like Shadow's voice is a bit more gruff yet a liitle softer than his voice, but I was listening to some voice clips that could fit for shadow, ans some of them sounded perfect for the character. So I honestly think he's a good pick, not just a famous pick
