Aye, good effort. I'll probably go with French Drain over this way though, for my gravel driveway on a slope. Where you are, I can see your approach working good. Me - Strathcarron, Scotland....a lot wetter! 🙂
We are located in Iowa, USA. Your area looks beautiful. I have spent several weeks in Edinburgh for work but never made it very far out of the city. It’s been a few years since I put that drain in, it works well but it does need cleaned out every spring
When you first installed the channel drain, did you have to pour concrete underneath it as well? I see how you poured concrete on either side which is a great idea. I have similar driveway setup that needs a drain, but I've been wondering how to keep the vehicle tires from packing the drain down or causing it to pull away and start going down the hill
Do not torture yourself this way, it is cruel. Hire or ask a professional how to properly drain water away. Channel drain on gravel is never a good idea 😂 Do not do this, do not copy this method, your neighbors and friends and family will wonder if you are sane
Appreciate your sharing your thoughts and creativity. I'm in west Texas. Blessings to you and your family. ☝️🙏🙌💪🇺🇸🎯

Charlotte, NC. This is what I need to keep the water from pooling by my back door.
Looks like it did what you wanted it to do. All good
I would like to know more about the installation and materials used. Thanks
Agreed. Could you please explain the install & especially how you made the concrete trough the drain is lying in. Thanks in advance.
