On Tuesday Jan 11, 2022, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held a seminar featuring renowned diplomat-turned-scholar Kishore Mahbubani to release his new book "The Asian 21st Century".
The book explores a host of topics centered around the trends of a returned Asia in the context of the US-China rivalry and shifts in the development of globalization, and discusses a number of key issues such as what the Asian 21st century means for China, a country locked in complicated past and present power dynamics in the region. This book is a part of CCG’s “China and Globalization” series in partnership with Springer Nature.
The author, Prof. Kishore Mahbubani is currently a Distinguished Fellow at the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore (NUS); former Singapore’s Ambassador to the UN; and Founding Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of NUS. He has been described by Foreign Policy as “the muse of the Asian century.”
The book release, hosted by CCG President Dr. Huiyao Wang Secretary General Miao Lu, also included a roundtable discussion amongst a group of senior academic experts on the regional issues and developments.

I think Asian countries might be more willing to take greater advantage of blended economic systems, in achieving goals, and resolving problems. The two most important economic systems (in my opinion), capitalism and socialism, benefit each other, can function well together. So rather than having an adversarial view (between the two), a complimentary view is more fitting and constructive.

Though the title With words like Asian Century is both provoking n s nuance for deep thinking for the future..
One must discard the arrogance of using racial connotation in geopolitics. .. however, the Western domination and arrogance must have certain high handed narratives to WAKE THEM UP to realize the changing world geopolitics.
CCG should have post mortem on its quality of presentation and the improvement of the presentation of key personnel in English.. it is not being Chung 洋， but in general mist Chinese scholarships improvement in presentation. For international forums..
Actually during the end of 1990s, The Renaissance of Asia or the Asian Century was articulated.. after more than 20 years.. this revival of such narrative is not a threat but a reality partly lead by the China Rejuvenation which is unstoppable For the next 20 to 30 years..
Another key perspective of a return of Asia in world politics is because of it's more inclusive and tolerant culture,which is more humane n philosophical in most aspects of living in harmony with nature n other cultures compared to the more assertive n aggressive Western cultures that prefer dominance and arrogance partly propagated by their Evangelicalism.., which has demonstrated by historical records for invasion, colonization, genocide , forced slavery and exploitation to enrich themselves reflected by hypocrisy n double standard mind set for racial supremacy..
