The problem today is that you can dump any man no matter how much you say you wanted them up front. You might not, but you could and get full support all around.
That is what will likely keep you alone. I have no idea your personal expectations and how truly flexible they are, but most women are not as flexible as they claim or even think they are.
Hard to build a life together when one party (almost always the woman) can nuke it as desired. I greatly wish I was back in my grandparents day for relationships! But that is gone for my expected lifetime.

Exactly. I was very firm in many ways in my marriage, but I could have adjusted myself with that approach. Just expressing what you want and working together to benefit both sides would help so many marriages today.
I can’t find men that are not married, no beer belly, and educated. Been to gym, bars for older people and order food and wine/beer, season tickets to baseball, walk, festivals, museums, dating sit(elite singles and bumble… 95% are out of state or not close to my profile). and solicited friends to think of guys who may want to meet me. The stats are against women at all ages especially over 60. There are more women then men. Men can choose all ages. We are mostly confined to our age. All hell in world isn’t going to help without a guy to date.

I just dated a woman, my age 61 and she’s like a college girl. She partying every weekend a lot of women like this and a lot of the 40 something guys want a cougar, but most of them are not gonna hang around after the sex, but I don’t think a lot of women get that. My experience is the men wanted me to do EVERYTHING! 1 was totally unfaithful & mean, 1 tried to get sexual with my 15 year old daughter, 1 just lazy and 1 a total drug addict! I'm 68, and I have been married almost 50 years. I learned from my Mom. Now I do pretty much the same things. One of the things I do is be pretty much cool with everything as long as I am left alone. It's always worked for me and him. I have always been of the mind that we all want appreciation, and a Man who loves his Woman does things for her because She means something to him. A Woman, who understands the power of showing love and appreciation for a Man like this, will in return reap huge rewards in the way She gets treated. Remember Ladies, If you want to act like another Man, why would he, if he's heterosexual, be interested in you? 😄

I am older and I have never wanted a woman to take care of me! Mutual caring goes a long way but from my experience, the women are the one that wants someone to take care of them, give them money and leave them alone. Where did that kind of patterning come from?

I am speaking on my experiences in my much younger years and the experiences of hearing other women talk. I am a great grandma and that's not even on my radar and besides, my arthritis and other health ailments will not allow me to do the things I used to do anyway. Facial beauty is not the most important for me, but relatively thin is, which means I am ruled out with almost any I would find attractive.
I would have been happy accepting a wife who did gain size over a long marriage, but the one I had lacked the commitment, something I only realized 28 years later.
Why take the risk now? That is the big question.
@@bradandrews777 The risk is up for you to decide. But many choose to have a partner to have a best friend, travel companion, someone to talk to, support each other, live with, enjoy life with, and so on.
(I also used to focus on thin women until after experimenting I realized I could be physically attracted to a lot different shapes and sizes, and personally personality is what kept me around and continued to allow me to be sexually attracted).
You may be shocked how expansive dating other physical types of woman can be. 🙂🙌

Funny thing about that. I would think this would be true for me too.
On paper, I don't seem very good. I'm 62, 5-8, 250 lbs, recent retiree, low income, wear bifocals, missing teeth.
In spite of all that, women of all ages and looks seem interested interested in me. From late teens to my age and beyond.
Even stranger, imo, I don't really do anything to cause any of this. I do talk to some of these girls, but they already seem interested by then.

Why would they want a 50 year old when they can get about the same in their 30s? I think it is about 87% of marriages in the US are within 4 years of age of each other.
